Good Thursday Morning to Each and Everyone!
Vickie-
If I get into this kayaking thing maybe you can visit me at Anahuac and we can kayak. One of my friends there just started a kayak rental company. We could do a bayou or two.
Liked your idea for Maui Karen on renting. Maybe a home exchange would be possible too. I'm considering doing that one summer to check out areas in North Carolina and Tennessee to retire into permanently.
Glad you got your me time and soon you'll get more when pre-school starts.

Good Afternoon Carla and OFF Family,
Sorry I'm late today. I was out the door first thing. Had to fill my gas tank, and head to the pain specialist's office for medication refills. Then I met with a nurse at the hematologist's office for my INR results. Finally, after several phone calls between Colleen and me and my surgeon's office and me, I have my date for my gall bladder surgery. They tried to give me August 15th, but Colleen babysits that day, so she wouldn't be able to drive me home. The next day the surgeon and Colleen have open is the 27th. So much for getting a date soon. In the meantime, my primary doc gave me anti nausea medication to get me through the next three weeks or so.
Speaking of blueberries, Colleen is going blueberry picking with the kids on Tuesday, so I'll be watching Frankie, and she going to give me some. I freeze them in quart freezer bags, and put them in the blender with strawberry Chobani yogurt, milk and AnyWhey protein powder for a scrumptuous protein smoothie.
As for salmon, my son-in-law used to fish for it on the rivers up north, and Colleen would have a generous supply of fresh salmon in her deep freeze for a long time. Ironically, he doesn't like fish, or any kind of seafood. He hasn't fished for it in a long time, but I'm hoping he gets back to it in the future. Maybe when the kids are bigger, and can go with him. He's a very good father, and spends what little time he isn't working or maintaining the properties they own, with the kids. Not only does he work on the installation of my central air, but he cuts the grass here, their property next door to their house, plus their lawn. None of the properties are small. He uses a tractor, but I think he has a gas powered push mower I'm gonna see if I can borrow, coz I could use the exercise, and I never minded doing yard work. I did the lawn mowing when I was married, before my kids grew up. I wanted to cut back the bushes that were hanging over my driveway, and asked if I could borrow a clipper thingy, but he did it instead.
I went to the grocery store near my doctor's office, and stocked up on a ton of stuff, and spent a small fortune in the process. I want to start cooking meals to freeze for when I'm recuperating from the gall bladder surgery. My two favorites are tuna casserole and stuffed cabbage. I plan to do the stuffed cabbage tomorrow, as it's an all morning project to steam and roll the cabbage. Then it takes all day in the crockpot to cook them.
Must scoot.
Hugs and Prayers,

Good evening Carla and everyone....
I too didn't sleep last night...I am getting so frustrated. I had PT this afternoon. It went well....sure hurt though. I then had to go get the oil in my car changed. I forgot all about it. It was way over the miles needed for a change. They said the oil didn't look too bad considering. I then needed to go pick up my calcium. There is only one place in town that carries it. It was marked down to less then $10 a bottle...it is usually at least $15. I bought the 3 bottles they had....wish there would have been more!
I need to go rest and ice my neck now. Sorry I can't post to everyone today. Always happy to read your posts!! I am just too exhausted.
Wishing you all a great evening!! Prayers for many as well.
Love and hugs to all...connie d
