Aloha my friend in the OFF!!

Well, it's 6:56 in the morning and I'm so happy to tell you that Flossie did not hit my side of the island. The news says we should still conserve water, and that it might rain a lot today, but the major part of the storm passed over Oahu (Honolulu), Maui north (I live on the southside of Maui) and except for a lot of power outages and debris on the roads, we had no loss of life or major flooding.

Thank you all so much for your prayers and good wishes. My brother just called from Calif. saying that they had been praying for me, and do think that powerful things happen when people are praying.

What I told my brother, and what is so strange to me is that the palm trees are totally not moving! That is so strange......usually they are at least swaying with the trade winds, but not this morning.

I still have power, so I'm going to make coffee with my saved water!!

Thanks again for your TLC!!

OXOXO

Maui Karen

Thank u so much!! Mother Nature sure does make our lives crazy doesn't she.''I read so often of your rain and tornadoes, etc. and worry for you, Hawaii is so out there in the middle of the ocean, and I usually feel safe, but when a hurricane is threatening...I do get scared

Feeling thankful for getting through this!!

Aloha Karen!  I thought of you and prayed for all the islands during the news last night.  Glad you didn't sustain any major damage.  Love you!

Glad you are safe; I had read in the paper this morning that Flossie was going to weaken. I remember when I was on the Big Island, they talked about the damage Iniki did.

Maui Karen....so glad to see your post. I am happy to know you are okay. I was pretty worried about you. I left it to God.

Answered prayers....that is the miracle that happened. This morning God gave you a sign with the palm trees letting you know you were safe.....he was watching over you. I strongly believe in the power of prayer. I have seen many prayers that have been answered. God Bless you Karen.

Love you....keep safe...hugs....connie d

Karen,

That is an answer to prayer indeed.  I'm also a believer in the power of prayer.

Hugs,

Trish

Seek always to do some good, somewhere. Every man has to seek in his own way to realize his true worth. You must give some time to your fellow man. For remember, you don't live in a world all your own. Your brothers are here too.
