Monday Morning in MIchigan
Good Morning Everyone,
I'm feeling a wee bit better today. No pain, and the fog in my head is lifting.
I'm going to get some tidying done today. Nothing major. It's kind of cool today. Hope Summer returns soon. I want to swim with my grandchildren.
Must scoot.
Hugs,
Trish

Good morning Trish and everyone.....
Trish....I am happy to hear you are feeling a bit better today. This weather is crazy. I am cold one day and hot the next. Hard to believe it is July sometimes!!
I am feeling a bit better myself. Still in pain but not as tender as I was. Not sure what I will be doing today. Nothing really planned. I started a new book but just can't seem to get into it. Maybe I will try it again today.
Wishing you all a beautiful day! Prayers for many in need.....special prayers as well.
Love and hugs to all....connie d
Hi Trish and Connie and all my OFF sistas!
Well, I'm so glad to hear that Trish and Connie are both feeling a bit better today! Hope everyone else is feeling well, also. Maui Karen, I saw "Flossie" on the weather channel. You'd better hunker down tight! Growing up on the Gulf Coast, I've ridden out many a hurricane. Nothing to sneeze at, that's for sure.
So, we took Benny to swim lessons this morning and they went pretty well. So glad Chris was able to go for this first class. I was a little concerned that Benny would balk at going in the water without her, but he didn't. The teacher/pupil ratio is about 2 to 1, so that's great! Benny and one other little boy are in the very beginner class. Seems like it was an advantage to wait until the end of summer to start swim lessons after all. I know the June classes were packed.
I bought some menopause pills at the store this morning. I prolly just threw my money away, but I'll try them. There's a pill for the day time and another pill for night time. Supposed to help with hot flashes, mood swings, and sleeplessness. I'll let y'all know if they work.
Bought a kit for pulled BBQ sandwiches at the store and have a chuck roast in the slow cooker with the seasoning mix right now. The house is smelling good. Bought some mini-kaiser sandwich rolls from the bakery and we're having baby-sized pulled BBQ sammies for dinner tonight. Benny tends to get overwhelmed if you put too much food on his plate. He'll do better with a baby-sized sandwich, and Christie can just make herself several. I'll prolly eat one, but no more. Making some fresh pinto beans to go with it.
It is NOT cool here at all, Trish! OMG. Triple digits every day. The dog days of summer are definitely here.
Well, my cross stitch is calling me. I'm trying not to take a nap so I can sleep all night tonight.
Love you all! Prayers for Karen in the eye of the storm.
