Good Afternoon everyone.....

I can't believe a thread isn't started yet. Everyone must be so busy.

I went to sleep at 8:30 last night......of course I have been up since 3:30 AM. I got a lot done this morning. I had 5 errands to run and got them all done. Now I am about to take a nap. Hope all is well with everyone.

I will try to check in again later. Wishing you all a wonderful day!

Prayers for many of our OFF friends and families.

Hi Connie and all my OFF sistas!

Well, my problem is just the opposite.  I got up at 5:45 a.m. when Benny came and got me, but I haven't had a spare minute since!  I haven't gotten ANYTHING done!  How is this possible?  LOL!

Well, I take that back, I did flip a load of laundry, but I haven't been able to fold it yet!  Ha!

It'****ting triple digits here all week.  I keep watering.  Maybe I can keep my new grass alive until September.  And all my flower pots.  And hanging baskets.  And Butch's tomatoes.  Whew!  Maybe I have done a little something this morning.

Benny is standing behind me in this chair and he's pulling my hair with a pair of kitchen tongs.  Every time I say "Ow", he either says "I'm sorry" or "That's naughty", but he doesn't stop!  On the other hand, he went tee tee all by himself a little while ago.  Whoop!

(Oh, Lord, he just dropped something down my back!  Boys are so different from girls!)

Heard from my other boy this morning and he is doing just fine.  Always feel better after I hear from him each day.

Connie, you sound so much better.  The pain treatments must be working.  Take a nice nap and wake up refreshed!

Thinking about everyone else today and hoping you are all well and feeling good today.  Trish, I hope your sinus infection is clearing up.  Annette, hope you are recovering from that last bout of chemo and feeling better.  Nan, you are a strong lady; you can do what you must to overcome the cancer.  Please know that I am praying for little Morgan and you, too.  I know there are others with health concerns.  Loving prayers for all of you.

It's time to fix Benny some lunch, and then, Thank God, it's naptime!  Love you all!

Hi y'all...was MIA as had 2 days work which pooped me out, slept late today despite construction noise all around me....When awake, did errands, and am home now having super late lunch, nothing much else happening except our weather in Ottawa has turned cool like a Fall day, and when I woke up with all my windows open overnight, it was only 59 F inside and it felt so fresh and cold that I wore my fuzzy winter bathrobe, no way I am closing the windows!

Today is a better day than yesterday for sure!

Hi Connie and my OFF family:

I'm on here really late. I haven't been sleeping well at all lately; last night it was nearly 3 or 4 a.m. and it was fitful sleep ... I think I finally slept soundly about 7 a.m. til noon. Got up and went out to get labs drawn, I thought all my yearly bariatric labs. Well, my doc only ordered my cholesterol labs and a urine test (because I think I have a UTI). The tech called over to the doc's office, but the nurse and the doc were off this afternoon so I had to go home and will have to go back to have the rest of the labs drawn.

The best thing was this invention they had there for the urine test ... it was called a urine hat. You put it in the toilet and it caught all the pee, and then you poured it in the jar. So much easier than holding your hand and the jar down there. It was the easier urine test I've ever done. Why can't they all do that?

I am entering the 21st century ... I have a smartphone and will cut my landline ties. The phone (which was free) arrived today. I've spent a few minutes activating it and upgrading software etc. I'll play on it later. It's definitely different than what I'm used to (dumb phones, so to speak).

Well, not much else happening. Hope all have a nice day.

Good Evening Connie,

I haven't been busy today.  Just not feeling well.  Overslept way late this morning, and have been in a horrible fog all day.

I just had a disagreement with the customer service person at my prescription insurance company.  Why, oh why, do they always assume I am married?  They're always calling me Mrs. Reilly.  Mrs. Reilly is my Mother.  I am Ms. Reilly.  When I was married, for 25 years, I was Mrs. Kuty.  Reilly is my birth name.  If, and I do say If, I ever marry again, I will not change my name again.  In addition to being a royal pain in the butt to change my name twice already in my lifetime, I don't feel like changing it again.  My daughter-in-law didn't change her name, when she married my son six years ago.  Granted, she already was a professional actor in New York, so she had her stage name.  Still, I don't blame her for not changing it.

Sorry for my rant.  In addition to my sinus infection, I've had horrible nausea for weeks, and the insurance company screwed up filling a prescription for Zofran on Friday, and I didn't find out till tonight.  I would have preferred to call my union back in Philly, and let them deal with it, but they had just closed.

While I was in Pennsylvania, I was able to see my weight loss surgeon for my annual, and to buy some AnyWhey protein powder, to make my protein smoothies with.  These days I have little appetite, a ton of nausea, and know I'm not getting much protein in my diet.  With the Greek yogurt, milk, and protein powder, I'm getting about 36 grams of it in my smoothies alone.  And, it's totally nonfat.

I see the surgeon for my gall bladder surgery on the 31st.

Must go.

Hugs and Prayers,

Trish

Hi all!  I did get up early, but it was to the phone making sure some one would be home to help the service guy install the window in Bill's tractor.  In the process they lost one of the special screws.  Could find the lever that closed it.  I ran over to the hay field and found it under the pile of glass but guy had left out farm and was out to our hay field to replace a broken spring. After he "fixed it" the hay baler would no longer work.  I spent the day raking hay and trying to get the bailer running.  Never got it right so will be waiting on the service guy all day tomorrow.

Hope tomorrow goes better than today.

Trish I hear ya on not changing names.  I didn't when I marrid Bill as the kids were in school.  So after they were gone I started chaning it.  What a mess.  And expencive too.
