I guess its Monday!!!!!

Welcome to Monday!

Well I I am home after being gone for a month almost!!!!! It has been a busy month.

My daughters baby bump is surely growing in front of my eyes! I cant wait to meet my baby in September!

I go bsck to Chicago for a week in August 18th for a shower Liz's friend is giving her. 

I ended up in the ER last Tuesday for a boil on my thigh. I had to have IV antibiotics an fluids. I thought I was going to have to be admitted but inwas spared an admission!

we also went to Michigan to Mackinaw City and Mackinaw Island. It was so pretty up there! But very commercial! 

Our friends from Colorado flew to Chicago to meet us then we drive to Michigan.

We drive up the coast of Michigan! We also went to the Soo Locks and watched the boats come thru. I have never been to Sault St Marie! If I had have a passport I would of gone into Canada!

Good Morning Carla and OFF Sisters,

I haven't been connected to technology for a couple of days.  I'm in my hotel room in Pittsburgh, en route to Michigan.  

Saturday, I was in New York, on a riverboat around the Southern tip of Manhattan.  Then, back to my son's apartment to watch the Phillies lose against the Mets.  I had a nightmare experience in New York's Penn Station, trying to find a track, only to miss my train.  

Friday, I was at the Jersey Shore, sitting on the beach, enjoying a nice seabreeze, occassionally, walking along the water's edge, only to be followed by the Pennsylvania birthday party for all three of my grandchildren.  Frankie's was May 3rd, Izzy's June 14th, and Lincoln's August 1st.  

Sunday, I drove here to Monroeville, just outside of Pittsburgh.  

Today, I travel the rest of the way to my new home in Michigan.

Carla...you have a wild life...go....go....go....good for you!! Having that grandbaby will be the highlight of your life....being a grandma is my greatest joy!!!

Trish....sounds like you had a great time with all the birthday's and such!! Sorry you missed your train....bummer!

I am glad Judy made it back safely and her family is doing well.

Vickie....hope Butch made it there by now. I have been praying for his safety. Prays for you too sweetie!!

I have physical therapy at 1:00 PM today. That will be nice. I am still stiff and sore although so much better. My PT is amazing and always relaxes me really well. I haven't had a headache since I had the procedure on my neck. Dr. K said it will help with that and it sure has!! I know I will still get sinus headaches and such but not these awful one I had been having for days at a time.

I need to get in the shower soon. First I will check out Facebook. If anyone here isn't a friend of mine on Facebook please look me up...Connie Douvier..I would love to see more of you there!!

Connie, what is the name of the procedure you had in your neck that has helped with your headaches?  Does a neurologist administer the treatment?  Pain clinic?

My hubby is plagued by migraines and lot of which stem from his neck issues.  (Osteoarthritis.) 

Just thinking that maybe we should look into it. 

It appears that he had an allergic reaction to the Botox he had on Friday so I'm thinking those may not be a possibility for him any longer.  We'll see.  He's going to call the dr. and tell her what happened and see what she says about it.

Cindy...it is a nerve block...like Eileen and I both had. My insurance insists that I have two diagnostic ones done before they will cover the actual block. They worked so well they went ahead and okayed them. My surgeon....pain management clinic.... only does half the neck or back at a time. I am glad he did as I did have numbing in my extremities. It went away after about 24 hours or so. My back feels great....and as for my neck....YAY my headaches are gone already!!

I would recommend this to anyone. A lady I know suffered from migraines for years. She had this done and was amazed. It only lasts 9 months to a year....well worth it!!

Good morning Carla, Trish, Connie and Cindy P!  And all my other OFF sistas to come!

Well, I only have a minute to type here.  Benny is on the warpath today!  Wish me luck, sistas!

Yesterday our neighbors to the right (who are weekenders) arrived.  I assume they are here for the week and they brought a lot of people with them.  So they partied out on their deck with loud music and loud voices until around 1 a.m.  Guess they were having fun, but I sure wasn't!  Finally fell asleep and then Benny woke up around 3 a.m. and NEVER WENT BACK TO SLEEP!  Ack!

He did pick on Chris more than me, but all together it was a hella night!

So here I sit in my dirty house, with dirty dishes in the sink, and dirty clothes in the bath, and dirty floors everywhere, but will that baby let me do anything about it?  NO!  He has been throwing temper tantrums all morning long.  All he will let me do is sit and watch TV with him.  He doesn't know it yet, but he is going down for a nap at noon today. 

I read all the posts, but no time for comments.  I love you all!

Oh, P.S.  Butch made it to Dubai with no problems.  The international flight from Atlanta to Dubai was also delayed due to bad weather, and even though his flight from San Antonio was hours behind schedule, he still was able to make his connection.  Thank you Jesus!  He was in 1st class where he could stretch out his legs and make it easier on his new knee.  Thanks for the prayers, gang.  It worked!

Welcome home, Carla the weary traveler. Seems you don't rest for long. Hope your thigh is better. 

I'm going to Chicago Aug. 25 for my 40th high school reunion. It's just a long weekend. 

It rained very hard here last night and we're supposed to get more rain today. My body has been telling me this for days. Knees really hurt. 

Today is my Friday ... tomorrow's the weekend. I'm tired. Happy to have two days off. Don't have anything planned, other than to go get blood drawn for my yearly labs, probably on Wednesday.

Vickie, glad Butch made it to Dubai safely. Connie, glad you're getting relief from headaches. Not much else happening here. Have a good day.

Ill be in Chicago then too. We r having a shower for Liz in the 24th. Maybe we can hookup before u leave. Im not sure how long Ill be there. Not long I think. My friend from North Carolina will be with me. And maybe Lizzys friend.
