Georgous Sunday morning in Michigan!
Its COOL!! I turned the off the AC and opened the windows!! What a beautiful morning! and it wont be so hot for awhile. THe cold spell from Canada is most welcome. I am sure many people will say that!
I have been busy as usual with driving. it seems the more I drive folk the more folks need rides. I think we are lucky to afford 2 cars though both are over 10 yrs old that driving is a way to give back to our community. ANd it makes me feel good helping folk.
I am busy this week making a baby quilt for a new baby in our family ! I have a brind new Grand nephew on huubys side! I am giving a shower this weekend and all my babies are welcomed with a warm quilt! I hope to have time to make some cute rompers also.
Since the shower is im Muskegon we are taking the motor home up to brother in laws for the weekend and that will give us time to see the old grouch my stepdad also. We just found out Ted has cancer. T 96 they dont treat that and so far he isnt in pain. please pray he has a painfree end of life no matter how long or brief his time is. he is one of the old fashioned good guys they dont make anymore.
Well since its so sweet and cool i am breaking one of my own rules and we are mowing lawn on Sunday. It has been so hot that I couldnt get it done and Steves working 12 hrs all he wanted to to was sleep in the heat. so today we are going to mow and probably have to bale!!
Prayers from our house to all of yours. Special prayers for those dealing with cancer and other serious things. I remember you daily.

Good morning, Jo, and all my OFF sistas!
It is also a gorgeous Sunday morning here in the Hill Country of Texas, too! I've already spent time out on my deck and I've watered all of my "babies". I love the mornings here before it gets too hot. No cold fronts from Canada, but there's usually a nice breeze up here on the hill.
So, my poor hubby! Last I heard from him it was 6:30 p.m. and he still had not left San Antonio! His flight should have left at 4 p.m. It's for sure he missed his flight in Atlanta. I can't help but wonder where Delta routed him. I hope he was able to get his upgrade to 1st class wherever he went. He needs the extra room to stretch his knee, you know? I'm afraid he's probably having a miserable trip!
Chris is off today, and she and Benny just left for the movies. Going to see that new Monsters movie for kids. I am so thankful for a few hours alone. So, here I sit in ma wee dirty hoose, drinkin' a cuppa tea, an' cross stitchin' ma little heart out! (Sorry, I'm reading a series of books set in Scotland, and I'm starting to think in Scottish dialect!) I'm not going to worry about cleaning house today. It will still be here tomorrow! LOL!
I love and think about each of you every day. I say prayers for all of you. I am very thankful to have such good friends here on OFF. Even if I never get to meet you face-to-face, we will always be friends, aye?

Morning Jo & Vickie! Well just now afternoon here in MI. I was so happy to turn turn the AC off last night and throw open the windows. It felt so good I slept 9 hours straight
First good sleep this week.
Bill just stopped at the farm down the road and bought 100 bales of straw. He was going to buy and bale but they wanted almost as much so he is going to buy it off the wagon. So we will be putting up in the haymow today. At least it is cooler today.
BAND REMOVED 9-4-12-fought insurance to get sleeve and won! Sleeved 1/22/13! Five years out and trying to get that last 15 pounds back off.

Jo....it really does feel good to have the windows open!! However it is getting really humid right now....the temps aren't bad but the humidity and dew point are climbing.....will have to turn the A/C on again soon....at least for a little while. I think it is wonderful that you take people around to appointments. You are doing a great service for your community. I am sure everyone will love the baby quilts!! Prayers for Ted....I pray he can find peace and comfort.
Vickie....I am glad you are having some time to yourself. Enjoy every moment!! I am sure Butch isn't happy with the flight changes. I pray he gets there soon. It sounds like Chris and Benny have a fun time planned!!
I am at a total loss.....I can't remember who else posted...this is getting really bad!!
I am laying low today. Pam and I went to get some meds for me and a few groceries as well. Of course on the way we saw some garage sales and had to stop. By the time we got the errands done I was exhausted. It was a fun afternoon. We love spending time together like that. It felt so good to get out of the house!!

Sitting here watching the White Sox game before I have to go to work. They're winning 2-0. It's 89, feels like 92. I keep expecting it's going to rain but it hasn't yet.
Not much happening here. Talked with mom and my brother Gary this morning ... Gary on Skype, Mom on the phone. Fortunately, I got my phone back before I went to work yesterday. Don't know what happened to it. The cable rep kept saying it was out because of the storms ... we didn't have any storms.
Jo, I'm driving people too ... my boss, who has been without a car since his girlfriend left him and took the truck (it was hers anyway). He hasn't been able to afford a car since. He was taking the bus to work during the week and then I was driving him home ... I told him that was ridiculous because I could do it ... give me the buck and I'll be the bus. And so I help him out, sometimes he helps me out (like Tuesday when he drove me home from the back procedure).
Connie, sounds like you had a nice day yesterday. I don't do garage sales ... I have enough junk I'm trying to get rid of. But I know lots of people like them.
Vickie, hope Butch made it to his destination without too much pain. With two replacement knees, it's why I don't like flying ... hard to sit with my knees bent for too long. Eight hours is too long for me at work.
