Good-bye Saturday
Hello sistas!
Just now checking back in. It's been a long day. I am happy to report that so far, the blue funk hasn't got to me. I did manage to smile and kiss my husband good-bye at the airport (although I don't think I fooled him--he knows I'm upset about him leaving.) But then he called me awhile ago and his flight from San Antonio to Atlanta got delayed. Which means he will miss his connecting flight from Atlanta to Dubai. Which means he's in for a helluva trip! Poor baby. I think maybe the blue funk skipped me and found HIM!
Anyway, Benny and I shopped at Sam's on the way home and he was a Very Good Boy! I loaded up on laundry soap and paper towels and toilet paper (the 3 essentials of life! LOL!) and bought some groceries, too. Now we're just hanging out here at the house. He's watching movies and I'm crocheting.
Wanted to report that I think I have finally found my own recipe for Pro Joe. My grocery store (HEB) has their own bottled coffee mocha drink in a LIGHT formula. Only 100 calories, sweetened with splenda, and has 5 grams protein. I mix in a tablespoon of a chocolate protein powder that I found that is made with stevia, and I get a drink that has 120 calories and about 12 grams protein. Not ideal, by any means, since real Pro Joe had 20 grams of protein, but has lower sugar and the calories are about the same. Plus less than half the cost of real Pro Joe. I will try this for awhile.
Connie, so glad you are having a better day today. Bless your heart. So much pain to get rid of pain. Somehow that doesn't seem right. Annette, your granddaughter is an inspiration to us all! How proud you must be of her! Eileen, you seem to be feeling better, too. Glad your back surgery (whatever it was called) went well for you. Jennifer, glad you didn't get lost in the "black hole" in the back of your closet! LOL! Hope you had fun at the BBQ.
Love you all!
