Thursday Morning Hello from Pennsylvania
Good Morning OFF,
I'm enjoying the air conditioning, dreading having to go out and run errands. My air conditioning in my car being shot, I have to keep all the windows open, and it still doesn't cool.
My swim with my nephew didn't pan out yesterday. Not sure if he'll be home to swim, or if he's going with Kathy to take my grandkids to the movies. Kathy and Eileen have a date with them at the movies.
"La Traviata" was wonderful last night. The voices were unbelievable. The storyline was so sad.
This evening, I'm getting together with my former AA sponsor, Ellen. We're going to grab a bite to eat nearby.
Tomorrow we go to the Jersey Shore, and enjoy a beach day.
Must scoot.
Hugs,
Trish

Feeling back to normal today, it's been a week. Going out for lunch with girlfriend who drove me a week ago to hospital, before she gets busy again, wanted to thank her for devoting her day to me. Another sweltering day here so we are eating inside as too hot on the terrace
Accepted 2 days work next week so looking forward to that as usually summers are dead, keeps my brain sharp.
Today or tomorrow have to have car emmission tested before can renew plates and also my licence, so keeping busy.
On the weekend will continue purging clothes from closet, I have to try on everything....so it takes several days...bonus is closet gets reorganized and I find forgotten things in the black hole.
Annette: gentle hugs and sleep the chemo off....good thoughts winging your way!
Better day for me today, hope it is for you too....
Jennifer
Good morning Trish and everyone.....
It was so wonderful to hear from Karen today. I hope more of the others stop in and let us know how they are doing too.
Trish.....sorry the swim didn't work out. I am happy that you liked the show last night!! Have a nice time with your friend this evening. I am sure she will appreciate the time together. Have a great time tomorrow at the Jersey Shore...that sounds so fun!!
Jennifer....so glad you are still with us....and that you found your way out of that closet....LOL
Annette.....love you my friend.....hope the chemo goes well.....get some rest. Still keeping those prayers coming.
Vickie....I couldn't stand having all those TVs and radios going especially with the Zimmerman case.....I am so sick of hearing that over and over!!
I need to get in the shower now. My appointment for my neck is at 12:30 and I haven't showered yet!!
Wishing you all a beautiful day!! Prayers for those in need.
Love and hugs to all......connie d
Hi Trish and my OFF family:
It's hot here too. 92 degrees, feels like 98. Back to work tonight. I didn't do a whole lot yesterday. While waiting for my boss to come by with my car, I did laundry, made salsa chicken in the crockpot; then when he came by, I drove him to work and then stopped to pick up a couple things at the store. Had dinner and watched two episodes of "Call the Midwife" ... have you seen this show? It was on PBS last year; I missed it but it is amazing. Such a wonderful show. I watched it on Netflix. I had problems getting it to work at first and had to reset my network, but once I did, I got engrossed in the story lines.
I had a little problem sleeping. I was sleepy, tried to sleep, then couldn't, so I watched some TV in bed. Then I still couldn't get comfortable. Then Juliette snuggled by me and started purring and I fell asleep.
Anyway, I need to get in the shower and get lunch. Have a good day.
Hi, Trish and everyone.
We don't have a/c in our house but we have the ocean breezes to cool us down at night. Our car has a/c but, a few years ago, we had a vehicle whose a/c had died and we had to go to the valley and it was 96 degrees and humid and we thought we would die. I hope you can get your car a/c fixed soon.
Glad you enjoyed "La Traviata" so much.
Enjoy your beach day tomorrow.
Not much new here. Just back from an afternoon appointment. Thought I'd catch up on OFF. I need to take something out of the freezer to thaw for dinner.
Tomorrow, we're off to the valley early and then again on Monday. Hate to have to make so many trips for one appointment each trip but sometimes it can't be avoided as it's often impossible to coordinate schedules so we can optimally minimize trips and do multiple appointments on one day over there.
The weather is spectacular. This is the best time of the year to live here weather-wise. Lots of people out and about enjoying the sunshine.
Take care. Have a good evening.
