RAINY Tuesday!
Afternoon OFF family...sitting here at home being mad as hell waiting for the phone repair to be made YET!!!!!!!!! They were supposed to be here BEFORE 5pm YESTERDAY!!!!!! Called them after 9pm last night and asked what happened! She said he WAS here. HUH???? None of us saw him here and we were ALL here ALL day long!!!!!! She said he found a short and called someone but found them to be gone for the day so he left also. HUH??? I told her I have a stack of work to get done which I CAN'T do unless I have the phone and fax up and running!!!!!! I have deadlines to make SOON!!!!!!!!!!! She said she would mark it ASAP for first thing in the morning. Well it is now 2:18pm and I still do NOT have any phone or fax working!!!!!!!!!!! GRRRRR!!!!! I had Rick and Jason both go all over the area looking to see if they could find repair anywhere in the area working...NO!!!!!!!!!! WTF???????? I am not wasting my minutes on my cell phone trying to call these idiots so I have to wait til after 9pm to call and find out what the hell is going on!!!!!!!! My boss said she would step in tomorrow if it isn't fixed by then. I am furious!!!!!!!!!!!! My desk is piled high with recerts that HAVE to be done by the end of this month or tenants rents go skyhigh and there is nothing I can do about it!!!!!
No news on my mom as of right now either....so much for my family. I really don't want to take a trip back home but looks like I might have to so I can find out what is going on!!!!!!! Wish I could send my high blood pressure to my mom...haha!!

Thoughts and Prayers for ALL that need them!!!
HUGSSSSSSSSSSSS
Wow, lots going on here today. I just got back from the store and sat down to catch up. I know I won't remember everyone, but Trish, I hope your car repairs are simple and inexpensive. Eileen, I'm glad your procedure went well, and thank God for good drugs! That's very nice of you to loan your boss your car for the day. Good karma. Connie, as always, your daughter astounds me. What on earth is she thinking? Something very strange going on there, and it's got nothing to do with you. Judy, I hate waiting on repair people! They're so rude not to keep scheduled appointments. They're as bad as doctors! I sure hope you get your service restored soon.
So we went over to Bulverde to go shopping. Butch dropped Benny and I at the store and he went on to Home Depot to buy some more lumber for finishing up the front door. For the first time ever, Benny walked around the store with me instead of riding in the basket. I was apprehensive about it, but he insisted. He did pretty well. He kept up with me and didn't pull TOO many things off the shelves! LOL! He loved throwing things in the basket!
Oh, and I think we've about got the potty training done! Hurray! He's really doing very well with it. Haven't worn a diaper in weeks now. Whew! That's like a pay raise for me!
Connie, I got started taking those Tylenol PMs a couple of months ago. You know they have the same ingredient as Benadryl, right? So I'm going to stay off of them for awhile and see if that RLS doesn't go away.
I'm still working on a substitute for my Pro Joe. I bought a half gallon carton of Blue Diamond Almond Breeze Iced Coffee in Mocha flavor at the store. The whole carton was $3.50 and has 8 8-oz servings. Well, hell. A single bottle of Pro Joe was $3.50. I'm going to try mixing it with some whey protein powder and see how that does. The 8-oz serving of iced coffee has 100 calories, which is kinda high, but we'll see how well I tolerate it. I bought some whey protein powder that has stevia in it instead of sugar, so I won't be adding any extra sugar at least.
My headache is back this afternoon. Must be this screwy weather. Anyway, I'm going to take advantage of Benny's naptime and lie down for awhile myself. Butch is working on the front door. I'm making grilled Key West Chicken for dinner along with a big pan of roasted vegetables. Already got the chicken marinating. The marinade is so good: soy sauce, lime juice, honey and garlic. If you want the recipe, let me know.
Stay strong, everybody! Love you all!
Hi Vickie,
I once took Lincoln grocery shopping, and he wanted to ride in the little car in front of the cart. He eventually got out, and was helping me load the groceries in the cart. He was so proud of himself helping Grandma grocery shopping. When I first moved to Michigan, Colleen took me grocery shopping because I couldn't drive. She had the cart with the car for Lincoln, and I was riding in the motorized shopping cart. Eventually Lincoln wanted to walk alongside me, helping me load my cart. He also helped me "drive" my cart.
Glad his potty training went well.
My car was $400. I still couldn't afford the air conditioning, so I am praying for mild weather for the ride home to Michigan.
Hugs,
Trish

Try this for your Pro Joe:
1 scoop of protein powder (I used Target brand, any vanilla flavor will do)
1/2 cup of milk
1 tbsp instant coffee, any flavor
SF flavoring, any kind, any flavor you like
Ice cubes
Put in blender, blend at high speed for a while. I like to use SF Kahlua and caramel. It's pretty yummy. If you want a mocha, you could use cocoa or a SF chocolate flavoring. I found this tasted pretty good, although a little frothy.
