UPDATE ON MOM

Talked to my brother today and he said mom is getting more blood. This makes it 4 units now. Her blood pressure is 97/42. Dr said he doesn't see anymore bleeding at this time. So this is a good thing. The blood pressure needs to come up before he will let her go home. This low BP scares me. Please keep the prayers going for her.

Hope the blood will get her bp up. the second number is worrisome.  We are in the age group now that have older parents (in the 80s and 90s) either living alone or in nursing homes or assisted living, and unfortunately, they will have lots of health issues now. I know that is the case with my mom. Doesn't make it any easier, but it is the truth. I know it's hard living so far away from her, Judy. you're in my thoughts.

Eileen I know what you mean about mom's being old now...you also have this problem. It stinks!!! Plus having family that just isn't the brightest doesn't help either!!! Sighs......Looks like I might have to take a trip home for the weekend???

Yeah, at least my brothers are smart ... I trust my brother Gary to keep me updated on mom and it helps that he's living with her and can see what exactly she's doing on a daily basis.
