Wake Up, Sleepyheads . . .

Good Morning.  It's early here (5:15 a.m.)  and I'm wide awake.  Going to make a protein drink.  I have chocolate flavored protein and II add s/f raspberry syrup and ice.  It's pretty tasty.  Hooked on the s/f raspberry flavor. 

Hubby's migraine med finally arrived.  Thank you for the good thoughts on that subject. 

We had some idiots in the neighborhood setting off airborne fireworks last night.  Had to call the authorities on them.  The fireworks were shooting off above the telephone polls -- that's how high they were going.  And, it was windy.  Always have the concern that they will start a fire which would spread fast in here because of all the trees and brush.  Anyway, it did stop so we can only assume a deputy came -- hopefully, they confiscated all that they had. 

Later this morning we'll visit my mother-in-law.  She's always excited to see our dog!  He kisses her and makes her laugh.

Morning Cindy and OFF family yet to come in today.

Nothing to report today yet on my mom other than she is doing better. Not sure where her ulcer is because dummy me forgot to ask. DUH!!!! I did ask my brother Bill but he didn't know either. So soon as I talk to Joe I will ask him and hopefully he will know. Thankyou all again for the thoughts and prayers for mom at this time! It means a lot to me!! HUGSSSSSSSSS

Wanted to go home but I have so much going on right now here we just can't do it. Soon as I get the new tenant moved in which could be this week sometime I am out of here I think. We NEED a vacation for sure!!!!

Weather is supposed to be back in the upper 80's today!! YIKES!!! Hope that doesn't bring that nasty weather back with all the storms!!! Fairs are also starting up around here. Didn't get to go last year because of the high temps. Maybe this year we can go IF it isn't so darn hot!!

Well that's about it for me today. If I get any news on mom I will post it.

I finaly made it to the Soo Locks in Soutlt st Marie Mi t is by the Canadian boarder! It is so neat to see the hugh boats come through  and see what happens.

Today we r going to go to Cheboygan to a Water festival. Ive never been there.

I am up, barely.  Kept falling asleep in the rocking chair.  I had my favorite protein shake.  Yummy.

I need to hop in the shower and get out of here.  Gotta get to church.  I want to see my friends at my church here in PA.

Good morning, sistas!

(I would call you all by name, but I'm bumfuddled this morning due to a Tylenol PM hangover!)

Ah, the joys of homecoming.  Butch and I were so looking forward to sleeping in our own bed last night, but just at bedtime, I discovered that Someone (I suspect it was Patty Kate [our dog]) had peed on the bed!  Yuck!  It was obviously several days old, so I guess she got mad at us for leaving her behind last week.  Anyway, I had to strip the entire bed, and then I discovered that I neglected to move any spare king-sized sheets here!  So we slept on a bed in one of the guest rooms. 

This morning I am washing all the linens, which is a pain, because king-sized down blankets and quilts are quite hard for my washer to handle.  And I have to hang them outside to dry.  After that I have to wash our vacation clothes, so I foresee a close and intimate relationship with my washer and dryer today.  LOL!

Judy, I am glad to hear the better news about your sweet mom.  I missed most of that while we were on vacation.  Prayers going up for a swift recovery for her.  Trish, I'm glad you're enjoying your trip back to PA.  Carla, you sound like you're having fun on your trip.  Hello to Cindi P, Cindy B., Debbie A., Eileen, Connie, and all the gang!  Sorry for those I forgot to mention.  (I took TWO Tylenol PMs last night and I'm so muddle-headed this morning!)

Good Morning Cindy P and OFF-

The East Grand airforce just took off.  Boy is this new float plane loud.  We have one camp owner who flies in like clock work of Friday's and leaves on Sundays.  Last year he used to fly out on Monday mornings, guess people complained about the noise.  Always interesting to watch a float plane land and take off of the lake.

Gonna be hot here the next few days which is welcomed.  It will make me move more watering the flowers.  Or rather watering the flowers that haven't been eaten by the snow shoe hares in the yard.  Supposed to be in the 90's a couple of days, may have to swim in the lake to cool down.

Not much new here in Maine.  Fighting a severe case of the blahs.  Do not want to do anything.  The last few days I've gone to bed after eating lunch and slept until 4.  No trouble falling back to sleep in the evening either.  Body must be adjusting to something don't know what other than April surgery.

Vickie - the story about dog peeing in bed brought happy memories of the beagle I grew up with.  Late in life if you didn't let her out when she wanted she would pee in the bed.  One morning she christened the bed for my Dad and he had to deal with it all cuz we weren't home.  LOL.  Pets can tell us in so many ways that we are their servants.  Looks like you had a great mini-vacation with the new 5th wheel.

Trish - Glad your visit to PA is going well.

Judy - Glad to hear that your Mom's pain is under control, understood and will be resolved soon.

Cindy P - don't get up so early!  I'm a fine one to be talking as I've been up at 6 lately.  That might be why I'm sleeping in afternoon.

Cindy...I am so happy to hear that your husbands medication has finally arrived! There were fireworks going off here last night too...about 2:00AM. I was sound asleep....finally....got woke up and it too me a couple hours to fall asleep again!

Judy.....more prayers for your mom.....love hugs and prayers for you too!!

Vickie...sorry about the dog wetting in your bed. Guess you better keep the doors gated shut or closed when you are away. They do let us know when they are unhappy!!!

Cindi....I am BLAH too....it was better yesterday but is here again today. I went to the store to purchase a news paper. I was going to shop for some veggies and such. I couldn't even make myself do it. I hate feeling this way!!

If I missed someone I am so sorry....my brain is on vacation and didn't take me along!!
