Happy Wednesday!!!!!!
good afternoon OFF friends!
Been awhile but I do keep up with reading! Just been a busy summer with running for everyone.
Things going pretty good in Owosso. Hope everyone a bright happy day! With AC! Can you tell its hot here? gonna go turn on the air in motor home and spend evening there!
Carla know you have a busy trip this time round so have a great trip and maybe we will see you next trip north!
prayers from our house for all friends here.
All this talk about A/C reminded me that both my house AND my car A/C are not working!! I rarely use the house A/C because we get a nice breeze where I live and usually don't need more cooling. When I got back from trip to Santa Cruz, my car A/C wasn't working. THAT can be a problem. I took the car to dealer and he said I needed a new compressor and that would cost $1200!! I told him to forget it, I will survive without A/C for awhile. I try to do my shopping and appointments in the early morning when it's still cool. If I have to go out in the afternoon, I just keep the windows open in the car and turn on the fan full force and it's tolerable. If I lived where some of you do, I know I could not survive without A/C. I have a dear friend who lives in Las Vegas where it has been 117 for days now, he says he could not go out if he didn't have A/C in his car.
Last night I had a great dinner.....it was a recipe from a friend for crockpot pot roast. Easy, easy. Put 3 - 4 lb. pot roast (I used chuck roast) into crockpot and add 1 envelope of italian salad dressing mix, 1 envelope of ranch sald dressing mix, 1 envelope of brown gravy mix, and two cups of water. Mix all those together and pour over meat in the crockpot and cook on low for 8 hours, or on high for 5 hours. It was fall-off-the-bone tender, and delicious with mashed potatoes, gravy, and corn on the cob. I have much left over that will keep me eating good for a week!!
Our whales have gone back to Alaska for the summer so don't get to see them frolicking out in the bay, but I do see turtle heads often, and even flying fish and dolphins occasionally. I am thankful for so much.....and knowing all of you makes me thankful for friends who understand and share their lives. Thank you all!!
Aloha nui loa,

Hello beautiful Maui Karen.....No AC would kill me...but then I have COPD and asthma. Hope you do okay without it.
I just got that recipe off Facebook a few days ago. I can't wait to try it....YUMMY!
Wonderful to see your post....I wish more of the regulars would pop back in more often!! If I had phone numbers I would be making calls!! I worry about everyone!!
Love you....Huge Hugs.....connie d
Hi Carla and my OFF family:
Just hanging around the house today. Rained early and the temperature has dropped. Now the sun is out again. Need to turn out the light I turned on earlier when it was cloudier. Although we are supposed to get more showers later.
Not much planned for today. Just vegging. it's my weekend. I suppose I should try to get something done around here, but not in the mood. I may not even get out of my jammies today.
Have a good day.
