Hello Monday! Where're my sistas?

Hi y'all!

No one is up yet?  Or just everyone is busy, I imagine.  We've been up for hours.  Already made the trip to Home Depot for more lumber to repair "Pandora's Box"!  LOL!  Our new nickname for our front door.  OMG.  Did you see the pics on FB?  What a mess.  My sweet husband spent all day yesterday under the house and his new knee was NOT happy about it last night.  Unfortunately, he's got to get back under there again today.

Day 3 of having the big gaping hole in the front of our house.  Please Lord, let me be able to pay my electric bill next month!

Today I am packing up stuff for our trip on Wednesday.  Got to pack Benny's clothes and things, also a "busy box" for him.  I've got a whole pile of stuff in the entry hall ready to go to the RV--things like spices and tupperwares and kitchen stuff.  I will go to the grocery store tomorrow while Benny is napping.  Got to sit and think about what foodstuffs to take.

We are having a really excellent run of PT (potty training) days this week.  I think the boy has got the idea.  I know we will still have accidents, but he understands the concept of going tee tee and poop in the potty.  Thank God!  No more diapers!

Well, so much to do.  Be sure and wish our sweet Connie a happy birthday today!  Love you all!

Hi Vickie and OFF family to come:

I think people are leaving our little group. Or they have too much else to do. Whatever.

Not much happening here. Just drinking my coffee. I had a loud wake-up call this morning. Pounding on the door. It was the FedEx man with my protein drinks from that place I told you about that I found on the banner ad on OH on the bottom. Big, heavy box. I hope this stuff tastes OK. I got a month's worth of it. Now I have to put it all away.

Vickie, glad Benny is getting the hang of the potty. He's doing it much earlier than my friend Rox's little boy (who's now 16) ... he was nearly 5 before he did it right. And that happened when Rox was home with a broken ankle and took charge ... not when her husband (stay-at-home hubby) was supposed to be doing it. She always called her son Flash Jr. (a little slow ... not that he is now ... her hubby was Flash, a sarcastic nickname given by his kayaking buddies).

Ah, well, not much going. Today is my Friday ... back to work tonight, then two days off. Have a good day.

What kind did you get Eileen?  Just before this last surgery I spent over a $1000 on protein drinks.  They covered the whole dining room table.  I won't use it all before it out dates and some just taste to nasty to use.

It's OptiSource Caramel. Not bad, although much more fat grams than I would like. But high in protein ...20 grams for 8 oz. Needs maybe a coffee taste added. What do you have?

The best I have found and have used up is the Syntrax Nectar Cappuccino.  I can't justify getting more until I use the rest of this up.  It has 23 grams per serving.  If you want even more coffee flavor, mix it with decaf.  I also have their Chocolate truffle and Vanilla Bean and mix with Unsweetened Almond milk and/or decaf.  The other flavor I bought and like was the Fuzzy Navel and I mix that with Crystal light sunrise orange with double the water.  All these are also no/very low carb.

I also like the BariWise product.  They only have 15 g protein but also have half the calories.  I had OptiSource in the hospital and just didn't care for it.  It was higher in carbs too.  I am very carb sensitive so have to stay as low as possible.

I have some SF syrups I add to the shakes some times to mix it up.

Well, this was free so I'm OK with using it but I was surprised at how high it was in fat. I'll change next month to the Premier Protein, which is better. Like I said, this isn't bad. Little sweet though. I've had the Cappucino you mentioned and liked it ... I added regular coffee. I've also made my own shakes with just plain old vanilla protein powder, add in instant coffee, some SF Kahlua and ice cubes and it's rather tasty. But I can't take those to work with me. That's why these were going to be good, plus save me money ... insurance paid for it (amazingly).

WOW!  If insurance paid I would learn to like them.  I love the Premier Protein for RTD.

Yeah, it's that ad on the bottom of the page. Click on it, add  your information and see if your insurance will pay. Mine did. I added the caramel to my coffee this morning ... tasted like a caramel latte. Pretty good.

Hi Vickie and Eileen and all those to come...
Havent left the site, just not posting as having a run of "pity poor me".....but when I do pist it is long....brevity not being my forte.

Neighbour from Hell in condo above has demolished his bathroom above my kitchen and living for 4th time since I bought here in 2001....he is forever renovating according to suggestions of his interior decorator/architect but has had a string of incompetent contractors which results in him suing them and getting a new contractor who demolishes previous work....I have been treated to 10 leaks, almost one a year in different parts of my condo, had another flood 2 weeks ago 9 pm on a Saturday night into my powder room, still leaking at 12.45 am Sunday...he flooded himself and ruined his own cherrywood flooring so I could not be happier, as we were in middle of a water test on his redone-again bathroom above my kitchen since leak last August and as it leaked everywhere, the bathroom was demolished for 4 th time last week since I live here....if it´s not his shower drain (3 times) his washing machine overflowing ( 2 times) two different whirlpool and a hot tub ( 4 times) incidents and 1 other bathroom on third floor of his penthouse, 2 weeks ago, plus endless renos including drilling through concrete into my ceiling in livingroom with a jackhammer, and breaking through adjoining wall into his next door neighbour, plus he never apologizes for any inconvenience caused his neighbours...( noise, floodings and leaks,) He a a young arrogant immigrant doctor with more money than manners ...He pays fines and has a crew of lawyers at his beck and call, so I have no hope of winning a case against him as dont have his endless wealth to pay lawyers to fight for loss of enjoyment of my property.

So I am again subjected to endless demolition and construction noise from above...plus they are cutting slate for his bathroom redo on balcony above me and I complained about the dirty sawbladewater allowed to run off onto my patio furniture on my balcony below...so I am a difficult b***h now as it seems all I do is complain about noise and leaks....

Plus this Thursday am having right breast biopsy at hospital as two runs of mammos last month showed calcification which may be problematic and so I have more worries...Keeping busy trying not to think of torture session this Thursday, having Stereotactic Guided Breast Core Biopsy, have more going on but wont bore you with all that.

Just send me your good vibes on Thursday and it takes another 2 weeks for lab results , so I should know end of July....will post here as I know I am not the only one here with bc problems....and others have been where I am now....thank heavens for WLS or I might not have been able to get on the surgery table as max weight allowed is 300 lbs.....on a plus note, I am less than that so cleared for the elevator table with hole for boob to pass through and get clamped from beneath....(must have been designed by a man as another way to torture women, like car seat belts)...

May tomorrow be a better day than today!
Jennifer

Jennifer:

Sorry for all your torture from the upstairs neighbor and the upcoming biopsy. Sounds terrible. I hope they will give you drugs for the biopsy.

We are here for you.
