Early Sunday morning
Hi my OFF family:
Can't sleep; back and knees hurt, plus I had some tummy upset. Finally just got out of bed to have some peppermint tea and watch "Downton Abbey," Season 3. Finally got free episodes on Amazon Prime. Missed it when it was on PBS. I got so hooked on it, but just had to wait for it to be free.
Had this horribly sharp pain under my left breast last night ... hurt to take a deep breath. Wasn't eating anything, so I'm not sure what was going on. I had to take some long, slow breaths to feel better. I'm just a bundle of aches and pains lately.
Not much else going on ... I have to work tonight again, so I hope to get some sleep later on.
What's going on for you today?
Good morning Eileen and OFF-
Eileen, sorry you can't sleep and hope you get rest later today. I haven't gotten hooked on Downton Abbey yet but plan on Netflicking it when I turn my membership back on. Taking a break at the moment since I had 4 weeks of house guests.
As usual I'm on the computer this morning rather than doing exercise. Procrastination is my middle name. Just have 30 minutes of yoga to do this morning so no biggy.
Lake has been busy this weekend as expected. So crazy people were setting off fireworks at about 11pm last night. Suspect that was inspired by alcohol. It's been hot and sunny all weekend so I'm happy for all the people that came for the holiday weekend. A little tired of hearing the potty mouth fighting that is going on at the camp next to mine. Don't think it's the owners just someone borrowing the camp for the holiday. The owners usually come up late July and most of August.
Not much planned for the rest of the weekend. I have 150 pages of Atlas Shrugged to read to finish the book. I've had to put it down several times as it is so like our country today that it's scary. Also have to start sorting the 4000 pictures submitted to the book project. That task is intimidating to me but I'll stop procrastinating on that this week. We have to start selecting pictures so the book can enter into the page layout phase.
My dear friend who lost her husband 4 years ago will close on the sale of her camp tomorrow and go back to MA. She's being very quiet about the whole thing and I'm biting my tongue about it. I had planned to start kayaking with her this week but I guess I'll learn to do it by myself, with safety of course ladies.
Otherwise a hot day for today. Planning on yoga, with CBS Sunday Morning and then reading and listening to the radio the remainder of the day.
Positive thoughts to all of you. Hope that everyone has a great day today.
Cindi
Cindi you are so lucky that they were only setting off fireworks till 11:00. Since they have made the big boys legal in Michigan, we have several shooting off the loud ones every night for the last week and a half and several nights till 1-2 in the morning.
We have one poor dog that is just terrified. When we were in Ohio camping with the daughter a couple years back, he was on a metal chain tied to the leg on a metal Goose neck livestock trailer. When lighting struck, he was the ground for the trailer. We thought he was dead at first, just knocked silly. He has been cowering all week from all the booming. Couldn't even get him to go potty last night.
Morning Eileen and Cindi and OFF family yet to come it today!!!
Well yesterday was a do nothing day and that was ok with me!!! Sitting here right now and realize I have 4 yes 4 Reserts to do tomorrow and I have no paperwork ready for any of them!! OMG what was I thinking?? LOL So maybe I will go in the office today to make copies to get them ready for tomorrow! LOL Just don't see me getting them ready before the first one that comes in to do theirs is all. I am so far behind...sighs. Guess that's what I get for passing out the notices before I had the paperwork ready huh?? LOL
Boy Rick and Michael pulled a fast one on me yesterday! They made me a drink using MOONSHINE!!!! OMG!!!!!! I took one sip of it and talk about firewater!!!!!!!!!! WOW!!!!!!!!!!! They both had a good LOL at me!!! GEZZZ Found out last night that Michael loves me. I KNEW it!!!!!! I have been telling Rick for a long time I had a feeling he did...but last night he told Rick he did!!! Sooooo Rick told him I belonged to him and he would help him find a girl!!! So today Rick is going online with him to start "looking" for a girl like me!! OMG. Michael is handicap...he has no teeth, no leg (wears prosthetic one), has red hair, about 5' 7" tall and weight my guess is about 185? And has a heart of gold!! Age is have to look it up to be sure but think about early 40's late 30's. He also has a great personality!!!
Well need to get going here Rick wants to go to Mansfield today and ofcourse RAIN is in the forecast AGAIN today...so need to get ready and hit the road before it hits. And Bandit wants to go out potty walking again.
Thoughts and Prayers for ALL that need them!!!

Sorry Judy,
I was taking forever to finish my post, and failed to see that you had posted. Didn't mean to diss you in my post, by not mentioning you.

Good Morning Eileen, Cindi and all to follow,
I attended a lovely wedding yesterday. The ceremony was so touching. The father of the bride performed the vows. It was the most God honoring wedding I've been to. The reception was held outdoors, with the most beautifully decorated picnic pavilion. Plus, a huge tent with Christmas lights and tulle strung for lighting.
Today, I'm laying low this morning. Gall bladder symptoms are keeping me from getting to church. I have to pack this afternoon. Plus, I have one load of laundry to do before I finish packing. Colleen and I leave first thing in the morning.
Well, must get going. Tons of packing to do. I'll do it in between breaks.
Must scoot.
Love, hugs, and prayers,
Trish

Good morning all my Sistas!
We are in the midst of remodeling our front door, and OMG! Did we ever open up Pandora's Box! I'm taking pics to post on FB. Butch started pulled out the old door frame yesterday. We knew the bottom of the door and the sidelights was crumbly looking, but we had no idea! The entire support beams under the front entryway are rotten through! Butch says the only thing holding up the entire front doorway were the nails at the top. Yikes! Old houses are SUCH fun!
So Butch built a quick frame and we taped up plastic sheeting and made a tent around the whole mess in the entry hall. You just can't go to sleep at night with an 8 foot gaping HOLE in the front of your house, you know? Plus, we HAD to have the AC to be able to sleep last night. God only knows what my electric bill will be this time.
Butch is under the house right now (house is built on the side of a hill and we have access to the underneath part) assessing the damage and what it might take to fix it.
Oh, and another thing that Butch did yesterday was shoot a nail through his finger with the nail gun! Honestly. He came in and said, "I need a bandaid." I said, "What happened?" He said, "I shot myself with the nail gun." "WHAT???" He said, "It's okay. See? It went in there and came out here. It missed the bone." Men!!!!!!
I am insisting he go get a tetanus shot and he is insisting he doesn't need one. So I muttered under my breath, "Papaw is an idiot" and Benny heard me and now he's going around the house shouting "Papaw is an idiot!" LOL! Butch doesn't find it nearly as funny as I do.
(And he IS going to get a tetanus shot tomorrow if I have to hog tie him to get him to the doctor.)
Well, that's my story for the day. Lord only knows what will happen with our front door project today. I'll keep y'all posted.
Love you all!
P.S. Pics of the doorway are up on FB now, if you want to see our disaster in the making! LOL!
OMG Vic!!!! Maybe Butch doesn't need a shot...doesn't he get them already for the work he does overseas????? Maybe???? But OUCH anyhow!!!!!!!!!! Yes men ARE idiots at times!!!! LOL I hear you one OLD houses!!!! OMG the work they can cause when doing anything new to them!!!!!!!!! Hope he can get it done before he has to leave again!!!
