Saturday Morning

Good Morning everyone.  Boy, it feels downright cold this morning (it's 48 degrees outside).  We've got 65 degree daytime temps from now through Tuesday.  Just about perfect in my opinion. 

Hope that all is well with you today.  We don't have much planned for the weekend except visit my mother-in-law tomorrow and also a play date for our doggie in the afternoon.  Probably grocery shop when the store opens at 7 a.m. tomorrow.  We live in a tourist town and 7 a.m. shopping during tourist season is the only way to go.  Avoid the crowds and, hopefully, be able to get everything on the grocery list. 

I love coming here to OFF each day and reading your posts and keeping up with your lives.  I feel like I know a lot of you.  I apologize for not posting regularly.  Sometimes, I just don't have much to say I guess.

Morning Cindy!!

Well it is once again raining here!!! What's new huh? LOL We are supposed to get rain/storms for the next week again!! OMG!!! I would love to know who it was that pissed mother nature off this time!!! Enough already!!!!! They canceled the fireworks for tonight here and won't have them now til September 1st. Nice! We were invited to go to a cookout and fireworks with one of the tenants to her daughters but looks like that will be rained out tonight also. So not sure what we will be doing tonight yet. Probably sitting home me playing on the computer and Rick watching the rain...haha.

Been pretty busy here with doing the BBQ and rents and renting out apartments and showing apartments...WOW!!!!! Have another one rented out so that makes 3 in less than a week!!! I am on a roll!!! Lost another tenant this week. She died Monday night. Sad...she had been in and out of the hospital a lot lately so it was bound to happen anytime I guess. Found out another one has her cancer back and she is down to about 70-75 pounds now so its a matter of time for her also. Sighs...

Need to get my hair cut again and this time I am thinking of getting it cut like Kellie Pickler's. It's a classic pixie with blended layers plus sideburns that can be styled in front of the ear but I will put them behind my ears...I have worn my hair behind my ears for years now so not sure if I would like it in front or not now. But I loved how her hair looked when she was on Dancing with the Stars and now I see her style in FIRST magazine and I still love it!!  So I am going to try it and see how it looks on me. Figure why not? Its only hair and it will grow back fast enough if I don't like it! LOL

Well that is about it for me today...nothing exciting.

Judy -- you guys have had more than your share of rain.  Too bad you can't send some of it to Vickie in TX!!

I love hearing about your life with Rick.  I am grateful that you have him in your life.  You are so happy and in love.  You can do anything TOGETHER.  Maybe, if you do a "go away rain dance" . . .  If only that would work. 

Stay dry this week!!  Summer must be coming to your area soon.

Cindy, Rick calls this the Monsoon season here...I told him to STOP IT!!! I have tried dancing to make this crazy weather STOP but it is STILL here!!! Right now the sun is out but it is muggy as hell out there!!! Rain is in the area though and storms not far behind!!!! I also wish I could send some of this rain out west!!!!!

This morning I beat Rick with a pillow after seeing that he drank my Apple Pie Drink that Michael (tenant) made for me!!! It has a VERY high alcohol content in it and Rick can't have that or he gets in trouble!! He drank it after I fell asleep last night!!! GRRRR!!!!!!! I told him he was grounded for the rest of the month!!!!! So he is being "good" right now...LOL Not sure where he is at but he is around here someplace!!!! Goofy redneck!!!! Gotta love him!!! And I do!!!! :-)

Good morning Cindy P. and Judy and all my OFF sistas!

Oh, how I wish you could send the rain down here, Judy!  We are dry, dry, dry.  Cindy, I feel the same way about OFF that you do.  I love to check in here daily.

Thankfully today is Christie's day off.  And tomorrow, too.  I've already told her Benny belongs to HER all weekend!  Butch says it's time to take out the existing front door and start to build the frame for the new one.  So I'm in work clothes and ready to help.  It's hot as Hades here today and the house will fill up with flies, but that can't be helped.  I'm so ready to get my new front door and venting sidelights installed, I will put up with the heat and the flies!

I am a little upset this morning.  Butch has been losing weight (on purpose) since his knee surgery in March and yesterday he announced he weighs 185.  Ack!  Once again my husband weighs LESS than me!  I weighed this morning at 186.  I HATE THIS!  Lord, please help me get back on track and losing again!

Well, Butch is making noises like, "let's get busy" so I'd better close.  Check back in later.

Wish I could send this wet weather to you as you need it more than we do right now!!!! Its sunny here but muggy as hell!!!! Rain in the area and storms are coming!!!! Sighs......We are getting bugs galore also!!!! YUCK!!!!!!!!!

Good Evening Everyone,

I tried to post this morning, but my laptop had a virus, and the Internet browswer crashed.  It took almost three hours to run the virus scan on it.  I need to talk to my techie son, Sean, and find out why it keeps getting viruses, when I though it had a firewall.

I attended a lovely wedding this afternoon, but had to leave the reception right before the food.  My ankles got so swollen in a very short time.  So, I took another dose of my diuretic, and have three pillows under them on my ottoman.  

I got my test results back.  I have to have gall bladder surgery sometime after I get home from Pennsylvania.  My daughter, the kids, and I leave Monday morning.  We're driving in separate cars, but I'm hoping she'll let me have one of them for part of it.  I love all three kids, together and individually.  It's not too often I get one on one time with either of the big kids.

I'd appreciate prayer.  I've been half tempted to have my WLS surgeon back in PA do my gall bladder surgery.  Problem is, I really, really don't want to recuperate from surgery in a strange house and strange bed again.  I had that with my foot surgery in December, January and February, and I hate to say it, but that time spent with Mom left me with PTSD.

Must go.  Phillies game started.
