Good Tuesday Afternoon!!

Hello everyone....it is after 12 noon here and no one has posted. I can tell every one is much busier in the summer.

I am leaving soon to get my last nerve block done on my back. I don't think I will be able to stop back to check in later as I slept the whole day away last time.

Hi Trish and my OFF family:

I'm feeling better today. Glad I stayed home yesterday. Chiro did a lot of testing and then a major adjustment on my back; then she did ultrasound. Helped a lot. Then I went to the back doc to see his PA; she's very good. She did exactly what my chiro said she would: She recommended steroids. I think my chiro is very smart. Plus she communicates very well (she was a communications major before she went into chiropractor college). She said I probably had some herniation. That's exactly what the PA said. 

So I'm off for the next two days, too. I have to take my boss to the airport. He's going to Florida to visit his family on vacation. 

This morning, my toilet stopped up. I couldn't unplug it, so I called the manager. He comes over and makes a comment about my carpet. "What's all this on the carpet?" I said it was cat hair and that I needed to vacuum. "That's why Ross (the owner) shouldn't let pets in here." Well, geez, it's not like Juliette is peeing up the place; it's cat hair, it vacuums up. I just can't do it often because of my back and knees. I don't know who put a bug up his butt.

Well, anyway, not much happening here. Have a good day.

Eileen,  you need a Roomba!  It has solved my pet hair problem.  I just turn it on every morning and it does its thing.  It would be worth saving up for!

Hello Connie and Eileen and anyone else who is lurking today!

I'm late posting today.  We've been loading up the new 5th wheel with all sorts of stuff today.  It's actually COOL here today--hardly any humidity at all--so we decided today would be a good day to work outside.  We do have electricity at the storage place, but not enough amps to run the AC.  Anyway, the big news is that Butch doesn't have to go back to wor****il July 21st, so we CAN take a quick trip in the new travel trailer!  Hurray!  Called a place on the Frio River and they had a last minute cancelation.  (This is a place that books a year in advance!  Wow, talk about lucky!)  So we are going July 10 thru 13--just 3 nights, but long enough for us to try things out. 

Of course, we'll have Benny with us, which will be a bit of a challenge, but it is what it is.  He's a pretty good little traveler, though, and he loves swimming and tubing, so we'll have fun at the Frio. 

Connie, I sure hope you get some real relief after all these treatments.  No more pain!  Eileen, I'm glad you are happy with your new medical folks.  Also hoping for some real relief for you, too.

I am doing okay, but starting to experience those darn hot flashes again.  Anytime I eat anything--hot, cold, spicy, mild--I break out in a sweat about 10 minutes later.  Is this normal???  I am so tired of this game my body is playing with me.  Last month I had 3 TOMS in 3 weeks!  WTH??? I am ready for this to all be over with!

Vickie, not new medical folks, just the same ones doing new things. Chiro has been treating me about a year now as has the back doc. I'm due for a tuneup (another radio frequency ablation) on July 16; that will zap those nasty nerves causing me pain in my back for about another 9 mos. to a year. Worked last year until now. 

Hope your trip will be good. 

Well the day went better.  Other than people like to sell you stuff on the phone at 8/9 am.  I was and still am a second shifter.  I usually don't go to bed at 3/4 am.  They called at 9:30 to say the truck was ready so I gave up and got up.  Picked it up and there was a little scratch and DH said to forget it even though they verified no scratches when we dropped it off.

My sister came over and we figured out which dates we were cruising on and which dates Bill and I was cruising on.  I was suppose to do two short cruises with a friend and than stay on a 4 day by myself.  Than my sister said she would like to cruise so I invited her on the 4 day and she said she would like to go longer so added a 5 day.  Than the GF that I cruised with had to cancel for $$$.  Now I was booked on four, talked DH into a 5 day and was going to cancel the last 5 day.  But due to the air schedules it worked out better doing two and two.  So I will be cruising most of December again and between that and the truck, I just used up the savings I had put away before retiring from a really good job.  Some days I wish I hadn't retired young.  Than I realize if I hadn't, I couldn't have done anything that I have been doing the last few years.

So after this year I will be old and broke.
