Sunday Morning Wake Up Call
Good Morning OFF Family,
I'm having trouble waking up again. The late night Phillies games are done, for now. This afternoon, they play at 4:00. Tomorrow, they're in Pittsburgh.
Today, I have church. Then, I have to go into town, and do some shopping. Just groceries, and a few other items. Nothing exciting. I don't need a lot of groceries either. I have a freezer full of meat, and no real room for much else.
Then, I have my game. Afterwards, evening church.
I hope this finds you all well. I'm certainly not well, but grateful I can walk with a limp, and minimal pain in my foot now.
Huggles,
Trish

Morning Trish and OFF family to follow today...
Well we ended up with LIGHT rain yesterday!! YES!!!!!!!! We can handle the LIGHT rain!!! But parts did get the heavy rain and some storms!!! Still chance for more storms all week they say yet!!! OMG!!!!!!! Hope the ground dries up enough for the guys to get the grass cut for the BBQ Thursday so IF it doesn't rain we can set up the games outside and some tables. PLEASE be nice so we can have a nice BBQ!!!
Nothing planned for today except shop for some raffle prizes for the BBQ. I also need to color my hair to get rid of all the gray that seems to have popped up last several days...wow!!! It also needs a good cutting but I just do not have the time right now for that.
Well that's about it for me today.
Thoughts and Prayers for ALL that need them!!!
HUGSSSSSS
Good Sunday Morning Trish and those to come,
I know it's been a while but there has been a lot happening and I have been on the move. Hubby and I went to Edisto Island, SC with the rest of his family (12 in all) week before last and had a great time. We then left there, went to Charleston, SC for the day then to Southport, NC for a couple days to visit with my cousin. Got to visit with an old friend I hadn't seen for years that lives there as well. Sadly received a call yesterday that my friend had passed away friday night. We then came home for a week and I was off again to Dallas to visit my Aunt for the week, her birthday was this past friday when she celebrated a young 96th! She's in a nursing home and I hate that I don't live closer but I am going back down in October if everything goes well with surgery. I did receive a call that our paperwork has been submitted to the insurance so I am hoping we hear something soon and can get a surgery date set. I am currently going through another 8 weeks of IV iron infusions to get my levels up before surgery. Ferritin had gotten down to 67 and they wanted to "top me off". Off to rest today, woke up yesterday morning with a sinus infection and ear ache so not feeling tip top. Will keep you updated on surgery date! Trish I hope your foot feels better soon!
Hugs
Karen
Good Sunday morning to you, too, Trish, and all my OFF sistas!
God has blessed us with some precious rain this morning. Boy, do we need it! You can practically hear the ground slurping it up. Lots of lovely rumbly thunder going on in counterpoint to the rain. We haven't had a morning like this in ages.
I didn't get a lot done yesterday and don't expect I will get too much done today either. Benny is a full time occupation these days. He just won't leave you alone for a minute. Butch and I switch off with him throughout the day, but neither one of us gets much done. We didn't have a very good PT (potty training) day yesterday either. Hope today is better.
One interesting thing did happen yesterday--well, interesting to us anyway. Butch captured a baby lizard at Landa Park last weekend at Benny's bday party and we brought him home to live in the garden. Benny is just fascinated by lizards. So we've been playing a game all week of spotting "Landa Lizard" among the tomatoes and other plants. So yesterday we were watching Landa Lizard on one of the plants when two big lizards showed up. I have never seen this before in my life, but suddenly the male lizard jumped on the back of the female lizard and nature took its course. Benny was so upset! He thought they were fighting! I told him they were just playing together, and then Butch told him yeah, they were playing the "make a baby game"! OMG! LOL! That crazy husband of mine.
Butch has to be in Houston tomorrow for his visit to the company doctor to be cleared to return to work. He'll leave at the crack of dawn and be back tomorrow evening. Then I expect he'll be gone back to Saudi by week's end, but we really won't know anything for sure for a couple of days. Sigh. I really would like to make a short trip in the new RV before he leaves, but I suspect everything is booked solid for the 4th. We'll just have to wait for August I guess.
Hope everyone is doing well today. Trish, I sure hope they can figure out how to make your foot pain free. Connie, still hoping and praying for a new place to open up for you soon. Nan, if you're reading posts today, I'm still praying for you and Morgan. Nancy, we haven't heard from you in awhile, but I see you from time to time on FB. We miss your adventures here. Looks like Laureen had a nice bday with her family. Annette, I hope you are feeling better today. Wish we would hear from our MIA's like Karen and DebbieJean, and Grammylew and some others. Guess everyone is busy, busy this summer.
Love you all!
