Wednesday Morning in Michigan
Good Morning OFF Family,
I hope this finds everyone doing well. I'm tired this morning. I'm staying up late this week, watching my Phillies who are on the West Coast. Games start at 10:10 EDT. I'm managing to stay up for most of each game so far this week. I'm grateful they only make one trip to each West Coast city per season. At least they won last night.
Today, I have to go over to Colleen's for a brief visit. I just want to drop off some fresh picked strawberries. I picked them up yesterday. I did not go strawberry picking, because my foot hurts terribly. I'm hoping it's improved by Friday. If Colleen isn't babysitting then, I'd like to take the kids to the strawberry farm, if they still have berries.
Today, I have to tackle the spare bedroom. I'd hoped to get in there yesterday, but it just didn't happen. I hope to get in there today.
Hugs and Prayers,
Trish

Good morning Trish and my OFF sistas!
Trish, I hope your foot pain goes away soon. You sure have dealt with a lot of aches and pains and illnesses this past year. You're due for some good health for sure.
Butch got home from Nacogdoches last night without any problems. I sure was glad to see him! I needed some back up.
Benny was being a real pill all day yesterday and I was just at my wit's end with him by supper time last night. He RAN from me all day long. You can tell he thinks it's funny, but it's NOT! He took off barefoot across the back lot yesterday evening with me chasing after him. He ran through a sticker patch and began to holler "ouch! ouch!" I finally caught up with him, but I wouldn't pick him up because he had pooped in his big boy pants and it was EVERYWHERE! It was one of those toddler moments when you wonder why anyone ever has kids!
Someone told Christie that a 3 year old is just a professional 2 year old. I think they were right!
Not a lot of plans for today. Got to spend some time on the checkbook this morning. Butch has an appointment with the company doctor in Houston next Monday. Sigh. I'm sure he will be going back to work soon after that. Prolly next week. I'm in the dump just thinking about it. But he says he is only going to work through the end of this year and then he is quitting. Yeah, right. I've heard it all before.
I hope I get to go back to water aerobics tonight. I didn't go Monday or Tuesday evening because Benny was sick and I didn't think I should take him to the babysitting at the Y with a cough and runny nose. But Butch said I could go this evening and he would keep Benny here.
Hope everyone is doing well. Prayers for Annette who is undergoing more chemo today. Prayers for Nan and Morgan and Nancy, too. Connie, I hope your pain is better today. Eileen, I hope you have a day with no headaches! Hello to both Cindi and Cindy today! Forgive me if I've missed someone who needs a shout out today. Love you all!
Good Morning. I have had a hard time waking up this morning. I got up earlier and had a protein drink but then promptly fell asleep again. I slept hard and now feel like my brain is full of oatmeal -- thick and goopy.
We take our precious Logan in for a toenail trim at 10 and then run some errands.
My hubby has had WLS surgery back in '06. Occasionally, after eating, he gets stomach pain. Of course, he thinks it's nothing and doesn't want to have it checked out. I'm concerned and thinking of all the possible scenarios. I'd appreciate it if you would swing chickens, send good vibes, say a prayer, or whatever, that he will go to the doc to get it checked out (with a little encouragement from me). Nobody likes to be pushed (including me) so I'm opting for a gentle nudge at this point.
Anyway -- hope you all have a good day.
Cindy P.

Trish....so sorry you are still having problems with that foot. Hope you can find relief soon. I am sure the grands will love strawberry picking! Hope you get your spare room done today....it can be overwhelming at times.
Vickie....how you keep up with Benny is amazing. I know I could never do that. Sorry to hear Butch is going back to work. He sure is a lot of help for you when he is there. I pray it is only for a few months!!
Cindy....I will be sending prayers for your husband.Men are so bad at not wanting to take care of themselves. You just never know what it could be. Best to get it checked out. I pray he goes in and they can find out what the pain is all about. HUGS!!
I am going to try to get out for a bit today. I have a few errands to run. I didn't go yesterday because I was still kind of light headed. I don't like to drive when I am in a fog.
Wishing you all a beautiful day. Thanks for thinking of me everyone. I love you all!!
Prayers for many of our OFF friends and families. Special prayers for Annette and some others as well. Very concerned about Nan and Morgan too.
Lots of love and hugs for all....connie d
Hi Trish and my OFF family:
Getting on here late. I was supposed to go with my boss to a movie today. But after going to his place and beeping the horn several times, with no results, I drove around trying to get a signal on my cellphone. Finally got one and had voicemails ... two from him. He didn't get back from his Greg Allman concert til 3 a.m. this morning and said he wouldn't be up for a movie. The second call said he left his wallet and keys in the cab and had to break into his apartment. The first call, he sounded really drunk. So I drove home and had a protein bar and relaxed instead. I didn't really have a lot of money anyway; I was kind of pissed that I wasted gas to go over there. So I'm back sitting at home.
Don't know what I'll do for the rest of the day. I have a movie to watch; probably will do that later. Last night I watched a movie from Amazon Prime called "The Debt." It was an Israeli film ... about three Mossad agents hunting a Nazi war criminal. Very interesting.
Well, not much else going on . Have a good day.
Eileen....sorry you got let down about the movie. Men some times!! He must have been pretty drunk to leave his wallet and keys in the cab. Why isn't he driving his car to work and shopping by now. That seems strange. It's it against company policy for your boss to be doing personal things with their employees? Things must be different down there.
I hope you found a good movie to watch.
Love and hugs.....connie d
Connie:
He doesn't have a car; his ex-girlfriend left with the only vehicle they had (her truck) when she took all his furniture and left. I have offered to drive him places and in return, he buys me dinner or carryout or gives me a few bucks for gas.
I had a Netflix DVD that came in the mail that day, "Trouble with the Curve," a baseball-themed movie. It was very good. Although Clint Eastwood's voice sounds horrible. I don't know if that was the way it was supposed to be or he is just deteriorating. Amy Adams is very good, though.
