Good Morning.  It's Saturday.  What's new with you?

This morning, we are up early drinking our protein drinks.  Hubby has a neighborhood board meeting at 10:15.  Other than that,  we'll just run errands.  Probably stop at a few garage sales and that's about it.

Had a good time at Agility yesterday.  Next week is graduation where the dogs are timed and graded for accuiracy.  It's fun to watch them and afterwards the instructor hands out awards for best time, cleanest run, etc.

We'll visit my mother-in-l;aw tomorrow morning and afterwards pick up a friend's dog for a play date with our dog.  They run around the yard chasing balls.  Usually, they play hard for about 20 minutes and then it's time for a rest.

Hope all is well with each and every one of you today.

Morning Cindy...Sorry I am forgetting what kind of dog(s) you are doing the agility with. Sounds like alot of fun!!! I used to show dogs back in the '70's. Mainly ****er's.

Today is already hot here and hard to breathe...going to be near or in the 90's. Not sure what we will be doing yet. Rick wanted to take a ride someplace I can't remember where...CRS ya know...LOL

Got a nice surprise in the mail yesterday! A check for just over $700!! WOW!!! It was from the foreclosesure on my house back in michigan. Some settlement...so looks like we can take a vacation after all...wooohoooo!!!!!!

Watch the moon tonight if you can its supposed to be the biggest one this year...hopefully we won't be cloud covered and we can see it.

Well best get going here and see if Rick can remember what he wanted to do today before it gets to hot out there.

Thoughts and Prayers for ALL that need them!!!

HUGSSSSSSSSS

Hi, Judy.  We have a Labradoodle.  He's a natural at Agility.  He loves doing it so much so it's really fun to go.  There are a wide variety of breeds in our class (24).  Some are teeny tiny and some are huge.  Logan is a medium sized dog (40 lbs) which is a good size for us to handle.

I had a ****er Spaniel as a kid.  I was very young so I don't remember her well except for her color and her long ears.

Stay cool today!  (I don't like the heat and that's one of the reasons we moved to the coast.)

Congrats on the $700 check.  It's always wonderful when money comes in as a surprise (and, in our case, already spent).  Have fun planning your vacation.

Hi Cindy,

No need to apologize for the duplicate threads.  It happens.

I need to look into agility classes for Utley.  He's a very energetic Shiba Inu.  He weighs 25 pounds, and loves to play fetch.  I want to get my huge back yard closed in.  The three surrounding yards are already fenced, so it's just the gaps between my house, and their fences that needs to be fenced.

There are a few dog parks around the area.  I know of two.  I must start getting him to them in the mornings, to give him some running around time.

I'll look into agility when I get back from my trip to Pennsylvania.

As for ****er Spaniels, my brother, Neil, had a honey colored one, named Dillon.  When  Neil lived with my sister, Dillon saved her life.  She developed a pulmonary embolism, and couldn't breath, or even call my brother to wake him.  Dillon started barking nonstop, until Neil woke up, came downstairs, and called 911.  When we buried Neil, my sister put Dillon's ashes in his casket.

Now, my sister has a ****apoo.  Between the ****apoo and Dillon, she also owned another honey colored ****er Spaniel.

Sorry to go so long about dogs.  Just remembering some good dog stories from my family.

Hugs,

Trish

Trish, I can never hear too much about dogs as I love them.  :)

I get Utley would love Agility.  Logan has been going for about 2 1/2 years.  He was a little reticent at first but now he loves it.  He starts crying in the car as soon as he recognizes the surrounding area as to where the our Agility classes are held.  Our "instructor" also does fly-ball during the summer.  We haven't taken Logan to that as several dogs run at the same time (off leash) and we've had incidences where aggressive dogs have gone "after" him.  At Agility, one dog is on the course at any given time.  He loves to see his dog buddies (the friendly ones) at class.

I hope you can find a class near you as I think you both would enjoy it very much.
