It's Really Thursday!
Connie, it is so wonderful to "feel" your happiness and relief (in your posts) since you've moved out of your sister's place. I am happy for you. It is so difficult to have the level of stress you had while living there and to not feel safe and secure and peaceful in your own home.
I'm not a breakfast eater either. I can do a protein drink. Have you ever tried peeling and freezing bananas and then putting one of half of one in your protein drink? My hubby does that and he likes it.
Cindy P.
I am so picky about bananas. I like them almost green and I don't like them in anything. The same with apples. I like them but not in anything. Now I can't tolerate them raw anymore......my pouch says NO!
Love and more hugs
Hi Cindy and my OFF family:
Hope your ultrasound goes OK. I guess all of us have something we are taking care of lately.
I didn't do much yesterday. I watched "Flight" ... good movie. Denzel Washington was excellent as usual. I could see why he was nominated for an Oscar. The crash scene at the start of the movie is quite powerful.
Then I watched the rest of the Stanley Cup game between Boston and Chicago ... boy, this has become quite a series. Not a big hockey fan, but it's been exciting. I turned it on, and the score was 3-1 Blackhawks, then it was 4-1, then 4-2, 4-3, 4-4, then 5-4 Blackhawks, then 5-5. What a roller-coaster ride! Then OT again ... and the Blackhawks won 6-5. My picture kept freezing on me, which drove me crazy. And I went to the bathroom right when the Blackhawks scored. But fortunately they show a lot of replays.
Well, back to work today. Have a good day.
Yes, I did post this morning on Connie's thread from yesterday. However, I must share how my day went haywire. Not long after I posted on Connie's thread, Colleen called me. Her husband was taken to the ER in excruciating pain. She wanted me to watch the kids to join him there, but there was a glitch. She was babysitting for a neighbor, and did not feel comfortable leaving him for me, till she spoke with his Mom. Plus, she didn't feel comfortable leaving me with two 3 year old boys, Isabel, and the baby. So, she called her sister-in-law to get Frankie for her.
Poor Lincoln really has trouble being the middle child. He was not obeying me when I wanted to talk to him privately about hurting his friend, and then started hitting and punching me. I had to get firm with him, and grab his hands and tell him in my meanest voice that he will not hit me. He changed his attitude, started crying and apologized to his friend and me. I did have to tell Colleen when she and Trent got home.
Turns out Trent has three, large kidney stones. He's had them before, and he suffers horribly till they're passed. He came home with strainers to pee into to catch the stones. He also has a prescription of pain killers. Prayers would be appreciated.
Turns out Izzy doesn't have a ball game this evening. I'm not sure I'm gonna make that AA meeting. My sinuses are a mess, and I've been fighting a headache all day. Plus, the meeting location is 30 minutes away, and gas costs like $4.15 a gallon here. I don't get anymore money this month, and I have an appointment on Friday, at an office 30 minutes away.
I hope everyone had a blessed day.
Hugs,
Trish

Carla,
I may have been mistaken. That's what gas was last week, when I bought it. You can go to www.gasbuddy.com anytime to find gas prices all over the country. Sorry if I scared you.
