Nothing on the agenda for us today except to figure out where to plant the 10 rose bushes I bought yesterday at Menards. Some wre $8.99 and Some were $9.99 plus 11% rebabte. Nice!!!!!!!!!! So have to work on some to get then spruced up as the blossoms are already done on them but they will blossom again and again if taken care of right!!! And I can do that!!! But boy do they have thorns!!!!!!! WOW!!!!! Going to look so pretty when I get them planted and they are in bloom!!! :-) The flowers out by the sign here to me they look like weeds...yuck!!!!! I would love to have them all taken out!!! But there are wires out there for the lights so I need the guys to do that for me...plus there could be SNAKES out there also!!!!! EWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!! And that sign needs painting really bad also!!!!!!! I want to get that done to. I need more days of the week or work til dark I guess. Sighs.
So thats it for me today. Need to shower and get dressed and head to the store. Rick wants crab legs for supper today. Sounds good to me!!! :-)
Thoughts and Prayers for ALL that need them!!!!
HUGSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
Morning Trish, Judy and OFF Family!
Sounds like everyone is off to a good start this morning. I have quilting class this morning 11 till 4, yippee! Been in the 100's around here, yuck. I wi**** would stay in the 70's but that's not going to happen.
Made a new salad the other night and boy was it good. I cut the recipe in half, I didn't have pecans so I toasted some almonds, added avocado, a cup of fresh blueberries and 4 greens onions. Oh and I used splenda instead of sugar. Next time I'll use a little less splenda, but otherwise it was so fresh and delish. Have agreat day, Debbie

Good morning Trish and Judy and all my OFF sistas!
Trish, enjoy your Sunday with your new church family. Best of luck to your Phillies today!
Judy, love roses, but never have had a lot of luck with them. Wear leather gloves to protect yourself from the thorns. And tell Rick we'll be over this evening for the crab legs! Love 'em!
We had such a nice outing on the boat yesterday. We went swimming at "Benny's Beach" (a little spot we found in a cove near here) and had a picnic on the boat. It was much fun!
Then yesterday evening, I actually got to sit in the recliner and watch some of my TV shows and cross stitch! Whoop! Can't remember the last time I got to do that!
Bennie continues to use his little potty, but he's still not telling us first. I just keep asking him if he needs to go tee tee, or we make it a group activity (I know, TMI), and we keep having successes! Hooray! Maybe the end of the diapers is in sight!
Today Chris and I are going shopping at the Outlet Mall in San Marcos. I have my annual birthday coupon from Vera Bradley to use. Last year I got a new purse there for $8! Who knows what I might score this year??? :)
Hope everyone is doing well today. I see Cindy B. is traveling again to her nephew's graduation. Carla is on the road somewhere, too. And I think Laureen is also traveling. Stay safe everyone! Connie, I sure hope you finished getting all your stuff from your sister's place. I know you are sick of that whole situation. Praying for new housing to open up for you soon, hon! Prayers for Nan and Morgan and Nancy and Annette and anyone else who is sick or hurting today.
Love you all!
Hi Trish and my OFF family:
I slept til after 11 a.m. and then spent time reading the paper and watching baseball before going into work. I was a slug. Yesterday, I drove my boss to CVS (and we had to go back to his apartment for his wallet, which he forgot), so he treated me to Subway. I got a footlong and ate half for lunch at work last night and then was going to eat half when I got home last night but wasn't feeling that hungry, so I saved it. I decided to have it for lunch today at home. Didn't feel like nuking anything in the microwave. It was just right.
So now I'm at work with my iced coffee and waiting, again, for stories to magically appear. It's too early for most of them; we'll have late stories from the NBA Finals, the Cards-Reds game and our local minor-league baseball team. So I'll be sitting here with not much to do for awhile.
It's humid and threatening to rain outside, which is why my knees are achy. Not happy about that. Probably why I'm dragging now. I have found, though, the Efflexor (generic) seems to work just as well as Cymbalta and costs a great deal less. Happy about that.
Talked to my mom this morning; she got a lot of cards for her birthday, plus some flowers from my niece. She was pleased with that. My brother didn't give her the Kindle because he's not sure how to use it yet. My sister is supposed to come over today (about time!). She didn't come over for Mother's Day because she had to spend time with my niece (not her mom) and my ex-sister-in-law. Kind of crappy. That's my sister. I didn't come home, but I live six hours away.
Anyway, I guess I should see if I can do some work. Have a good day.
