TGIF!!

Wow! Everyone must be busy this morning. Hot today in the 90's. This rny surgery has been such a blessing not only have I lost 75 lbs but my husband is down 35-40 lbs. He looks so handsome! So proud of the 2 of us.

Good morning Debbie and all my OFF sistas!

Yep, I have to agree: WLS IS a blessing!  I can actually do things outside now in the summer, whereas before WLS, I had to hide indoors in the A****il evening.  I would just get too hot.  Being MO is hard in the summer.

Today I am holding a stick over my husband's head to MAKE him do our taxes!  We had the tax man file an extension for us until June 15th, and guess what?  Next week is June 15th!  That DH (Damn Husband!  LOL!) of mine is a terrible procrastinator.  I've already done all of my part.  The rest of it he has to do. 

I was planning to sew my new curtains next week, but it turns out I have to go to Waco next Wednesday.  Carrie's urologist has ordered some special tests for her next Thursday morning and then she has an appt with him Thursday afternoon.  I feel like I need to be there.  I want to hear what the doctor has to say, and besides, it's always easier to think what to ask the doctor when there are 2 of you there.

Hope everyone is doing well today.  Friday is always a good day for working people.  Even we retired folks still like Fridays!  Force of habit I guess.

Hi Debbie, Vickie and my OFF family:

I still can't handle the heat even after losing. I was never good in hot weather. I'm just not a hot weather person. Give me about 70 degrees and I'm happy. Good that your hubby also has lost. 

I had the perfect storm of late stories last night: NBA Finals, NHL game, baseball and a local baseball game that went into extra innings. All came in during the last half-hour of work before deadline. Unfortunately, I went down about 10 minutes late. Couldn't help it this time. I hustled my butt as much as I could, but we didn't get the local baseball game until 11:10 p.m., so I didn't get a chance to read it until 11:15 p.m., which is deadline. Oh well. Nothing I could do.

Back to work tonight. It looks like rain today ... very gloomy. My SIL is in N.J. and says it's raining there. She's staying with her daughter's family and taking care of her granddaughters. She's in her element.

Debbie....congrats to you and your hubby.....that weight loss together is great!! I love the hot weather....send some to me!! Our weather here is awful!

Vickie.... I am so glad you are able to go with Carrie to her appointment.... you are right a second set of ears I'd good!! I am keeping Carrie in my prayers! Hope your hubby gets the taxes done on time!!

Eileen.....sounds like you had a busy night again last night. I hope tonight goes better.

I am just chilling and doing some paperwork today. I sure wish I would hear from someone soon about a place to live!! My granddaughter Kyleigh called me this morning. She said she had a fever and her throat was hurting so bad. I insisted she went in to get it checked out. Good thing because she has Strep!!!
