Wednesday in Michigan

Hello Karen,

Sleep is a necessary component of recovery too. I can still take the dogs for short walks, give the cats plenty of love and even cook several nights a week.

Tom is doing an amazing jobs considering he is recovering from open heart surgery. He is a terrible housekeeper though cool. Those little details that were part of my daily routine are foreign to him, it bugs me no end, I try SO hard not to criticize but some days I fail miserably. On a positive note: he has learned that when it comes to housework there is only ONE right way --> MY WAY. wink

There are so many big agencies and private businesses offering direct help for people in Ithaca. Cleaning companies donate time for those getting chemo. Private individuals donate one-one helper duties. A local B&B makes fresh/healthy baked goods for the support groups each week. The biggest auto dealership in the area offered reduced rate oil changes at his 15 - 20 locations for the month of April and donated ALL the money to the Cancer Resource Center here. The list is long and impressive.

Kisses

(((Annette))) man this sucks!!! Wish I could help you out...is there ANYTHING that you crave to eat at all?? If so...eat it!!! How about popsicles? One way to get your liquids in you!

Keeping you in my prayers every time I can get a free time to do some!!!

Judy,

SF popsicles used to be my 'go to food for some liquids. Now they make me gag. Chinese food is good, salads are good, and frozen yogurt is good most days. After having low blood pressure since losing over 200 pounds, the chemo is making my BP and pulse sky rocket so we have to watch that too.

I have it in my head that the chemo is one mean SOB ( and me too) so the cancer better get moving.

Kisses for my Angel

Connie,

Thank you for thinking of me as you are going through so much hardship. I pray you have some GOOD changes soon too.

All of us on the OFF board are a strong bunch of women. We don't give up, we stand up and FIGHT. When we start to feel weak, we call our back up Sistahs to help us fight.

Warm hugs, prayers and love to you too

Annette

Good evening Tricia and everyone...

Sorry I didn't get in to post today. It has been a rough day.  We didn't go pack today as Pam and I both just couldn't get it done.  Between the two of us it has been very hard to get  a lot of packing done at once. The weather is just so cold and rainy every day. I pray that changes soon as that will help with our pain.

Always wonderful to read all your posts. Really great to hear from Karen (Maui) and Jeannie this week....it had been a while. Please keep the prayers coming. I miss being here chatting every day. Wish I had a laptop!! I miss my computer!! I do try to check in at least once a day. Please know I care!! I will try to get on here longer tomorrow!!

Love and Hugs to all......connie d
