Good Morning Tuesday,Im Alive!!
Hi there,
I went boating and fishing on Saturday with a camping buddy, I got heat exhaustion and got so sick!!!! i was supposed to stat till today but drove home on Sunday with a bad headache! I crawled into bed and woke up this morning headache free!!!!!!
Im back to reality!!!!!
Went thru my camping gear and whittled it down to one bin! I got room in my car!!!!
We r going out again on Thursday.
Good morning Carla and my OFF sistas!
Carla, you need to be more careful with that heat exhaustion! That can be deadly serious. Glad you are feeling better today.
Thank you all for the birthday wishes on FB! 56 years young today! I feel very blessed to be alive and kicking this year. I'm still down close to 100 pounds since WLS, and I'm going to lose the 8 lb regain, plus another 20 this year. Loving water aerobics at the Y. It makes me feel more in control of my body, and definitely more in control of my eating. Life is good!
My sweet husband gave me a beautiful earring and pendant set. I TOLD him I didn't need any more presents after getting to go see George last weekend, but he did it anyway. He asked me what I wanted to do today, and I told him I really didn't feel much like going out to eat. That's just not my thing anymore (thank goodness!). But I do want to go to this big nursery in SA and pick out a new plant for either my front deck or my back yard sun spot. So that's my birthday excursion for today. We'll also go to Sam's while we're there and pick up some supplies.
Talked to my mom this morning, and she's coming for a week long stay in a couple of weeks. She'll be here for Benny's birthday, which will be good. Maybe I can talk her into moving here this time.
Well, I need to hop in the shower and get going. My sweet family let me sleep in, and then Chris cooked a special birthday breakfast for me. I'm a lucky woman, and I know it. Good friends, loving family, and good health. What more could a gal ask for?
Love you all!
Good morning Carla and everyone.....
Carla....I wish I had the stamina and body to be able to camp. Those days are far behind me now! Have a great time this weekend. Be extra careful with getting in fluids. Heat exhaustion is a dangerous thing! HUGS!!!!
Vickie...hope you have a wonderful day!! Happy Birthday!! I haven't checked in on Facebook yet today. Glad that your hubby is spoiling you a little more!!! You deserve it!!
Jo....hello and have a great day!!
I need to get back over to my sister's soon...more packing. I tire so easily and so does Pam. It isn't going very fast. We do the best we can! This whole thing makes me just sick inside. I want it over with!!
Wishing you all a BEAUTIFUL DAY!!! Prayers for so many OFF friends and families.
Love and many hugs to all....connie d
Connie,
I wish you lived near me. While I have cats and you couldn't live in my house, I do have a bit of a guest thing in the back you could occupy forever. And, I could have already had you packed and moved. I have always suffered from hyperactivity disorder and that works well with me getting in there and doing things like packing. I hate that you are getting displaced again and wish there was a remedy for this situation.
I hope you get things situated and gain control of your life again. It will happen; I know it will.
Hi Carla and al my OFF people,
Cleaning again today. What fun. Not much to say today except don't go to the grocery store when hungry and have not made a grocery list. I'm so much better organized when pet sitting.
I am afraid of heat exhaustion. Most of my clients dogs are big and can walk quite long walks. I take water for both the pets and myself. Still very sickish when I walked Portia. It was only 1.1 mile. Cochise likes to walk 2 to 3 miles. He is young and strong. Morning walks will be good. I'll try to wear him out while it is in th 70s and 80s. Last night it was still over 100 degrees at 7PM. All I can do is my best.
Hugs,
Mag
Hi Carla and my OFF famiily:
Carla, take it easy out in the heat. I have always had problems with high heat, even after losing weight. I manage it by drinking lots of water.
I had an appointment this morning with the podiatrist at the orthopedic group that did my knee. Very happy with the podiatrist. He explains things very well. I had a bunionette removed (or thought I did) several years ago in Michigan; but not long after, it started to bother me. I have been using pads to cushion it since. This doc took x-rays and looked at my foot, told me I have something called metatarsus adductus, and that I've had since I was a kid. Now, I remember wearing orthopedic shoes as a kid (you know, the ugly brown ones ... one more thing I was teased about), but I thought those were for flat feet, which I still have. With this condition, your toes go inward (called in-toeing); it actually starts in the womb, with the position of the fetus against the womb and how it is delivered. I know my mom had problems with my delivery but she doesn't remember what it was. Maybe I came out feet first? Butt first? I was always a weird kid anyway. I think a lot of my foot problems contribute to my knee and back issues. Anyway, doc wants to actually fix the bunionette this time (the last doc just scraped it), put a pin it the toe and straighten it, like was done with the big toe bunion. I'll have to wait til after summer when we're not so shorthanded if I do this. I'd be off a week.
So anyway, I'm off a couple of days; after my appointment, I came home and did laundry. I have such an exciting life.
Vickie, happy birthday again. Hope you have a nice day.
