Good Morning OFF Sisters,

Be right back,  Gotta get coffee..

I'm back.

I'm tired, and must get that caffeine in me.  Yes, I'm an addict.  At least I'm not drinking too.

My daughter invited me over for breakfast this morning.  I was going to ask Colleen if I can do some laundry while there.

I have no special plans.  Colleen's family is busy putting in their vegetable garden.  I may work on some projects here.

If I were home, I'd put flowers on Neil's and Jack's graves.  Neil was a Navy vet.  My father's grave is near where Mom lives.  I didn't get up there very often.  Too many painful memories there.

Hugs,

Trish

Morning Trish and all to follow!

Happy Memorial Day to all! Thank you to all our service men and women who have fought so hard for our freedom! A special prayer for my dad who was a POW in WWII he was shot down over Italy in his plane. He served in Korea and flew in supplies to Vietnam in a C147. God bless his soul and may he rest in peace!

Going cherry and white peach picking today. YUM!! Can't wait. Thinking about making some more no sugar jam. I already have strawberry and strawberry-blueberry jams.

Going to design a quilt for Micheal he's such a Giants baseball fan. I'm going to try my hand at using rally flags, cotton, fleece and transfer photos to material. Wish me luck. anyone have any ideas I would be grateful for any advice.

Have been on a big plateau for  about 2 months and have finally started losing again. I have a feeling these last 27 pounds are going to be a bi#@ch.

Hope you all have a great day. Special prayers for Connie, I pray you find a place to live soon!

Debbie

Good Morning Trish, Debbie and OFF-

There's a funny yellow light outside this morning.  Could it be the sun, I sure hope so cuz I'm tired of grey!  Hopefully, it will stay out today so I can get some yard work under my belt.

Started using my recumbent ellipitical machine.  I'm going to aim for 4 days a week at least 30 minutes each time.  I have my annual followup visit on the 19th.  Not looking forward to getting on the scales but I'll deal with it.  Trying real hard to get back into the groove of mindful eating and healthy habits rather than the comfort eating.

Been spending the last few days writing very belated thank you notes to everyone who helped me during my surgery.  My mother would be proud.

Debbie good luck with the new quilt.  I have no experience with pennants or photo images on cloth but have seen it done very successfully.  I would applique the pennants on after you have assembled the quilt squares.  I have 4 baby quilts to do this summer but at the moment the quilting stuff is in Texas as I had to unload the car to make room for my cousin to ride with me to help with the driving.

Positive thoughts to all in need.  Special vibes to Connie and solving her situation.  Happy Memorial Day to everyone especially the mothers and wives of military personnel who served their country!

Hi Trish and my OFF family:

Nothing big planned today because I have to work. I have to get Juliette ready to go to my boss's so I can leave tomorrow morning. I have to get out the cat carrier and put together her food and water bowls, and some toys for her. Already brought over a litter box. She'll be fine. Richard likes cats. He got along fine with her the last time she was over.

It warmed up overnight ... it's 82 today. Nice day. Too bad I have to work. Oh well.

Have a nice day.

Hi,

We are back from camping. I got bit up from red ants big time!!! Bentley loved camping. I posted pictures on facebook/

Our next camping trip is to the Ocala national forest. It is interesting camping in Florida cause you can camp all

year. Ocala is about 95 miles from our house. Then a few weeks after that we are going  back up to

Chicago.

Well I need to go and check out the new Hobby Lobby, we finally got one here!!!! We hit big time!!!!

Hello all my sweet OFF sistas!  Happy Memorial Day!

So far I have spent my entire holiday weekend working my little tail off.  Now I'm getting ready to go out and mow the yard.  I guess I'll have to "play" next weekend when our company gets here.  Too much to do to get ready for them this weekend.

I would really like to lie down and take a nap, but if I do that, I'm afraid I won't sleep well again tonight.  Don't know WTH is going on with my sleep cycle lately.  I fall asleep and sleep hard until about 4 a.m., when for some inexplicable reason I wake up and stay awake until around 6 a.m.  Then Benny gets up at 7 a.m. and there you go.  I'm draggin' all day.

Butch is making good progress on my new front door.  He's making me those vented sidelights.  Remember, I saw them in Lowe's and they were ridiculously expensive?  Anyway, he's sawing and measuring (sometimes in that order I think!  LOL!) and gluing and hammering away out there.  I'll be so glad to get that crappy old front door and crappy sidelights GONE!  My new front door is gorgeous--it's made like leaded stained glass, only all the glass is either clear or frosted.  The design is a Texas Star (which is a big motif down here, this being the Lone Star state and all) and it's so pretty.  I hope he can get it all installed before our company arrives on Friday.  Not a chance of me getting it all painted by then, but that's okay.

I worked really hard on Benny's room yesterday.  I bagged up two huge trash bags of stuffed animals and toys and put them away in the attic.  I also rearranged all the furniture in his room, cleaned out dresser drawers, got rid of clothes and shoes and things that he's outgrown, and finally hung pictures and artwork on the walls.  It looks real cute in there now.  I bought him a cubbie system to keep his toys and things organized (just like they do at pre-school), which works much better than a toy box.

My guest rooms are pulling together nicely, although I won't have them completely finished by the weekend.  But they will be comfortable and functional, just not all prettied up yet.  I got the mattress on the sleeper sofa aired out, too.  Washed all the linens, etc.  I bought waste baskets, new hangers, tissues, small bedside clocks, etc., too.  I'm slowly getting there.

My flowers are doing pretty good.  My front deck looks real pretty.  I have huge pots of impatiens and begonias and coleus blooming out there.  My sun spot garden in the back yard is little bedraggled from all the hard rain, but hopefully will bounce back soon.  So I guess I'd better get out there and mow the grass now.  My new sod appears to have "took holt" and is growing like crazy.  Hurray!  No more dirt yard.

Well, I'm just stalling, and I'd better get myself in gear.  Love you all!

Evening OFF family!!! OMG I can hardly move tonight!!! All this stuff for the BBQ has me so sore!!! And Mother Nature is a Biotch!!!! She made is cold and rain and windy!!!!!!! Shame on her!!!!! I had to move everything indoors today!!! Had to cancel the DJ and no singing to see who could win a prize for that!!! They wouldn't let me win with my singing to the music on radio...shucks!!!! LOL Couldn't play Cornhole either...nor could we play Washer Toss!!! DARN IT!!!!!!!! But the food was good and we all ate and then we played some BINGO. Had a few drawings and the tenant fund made almost $50.00. Not bad for a crapy day!!! Ended up having 25 people out of the 30 that were supposed to come. They all want a 4th of July party so guess we will do it. IF I live long enough!!! LOL Every part of my body is screaming in pain today!!! Especially my back right now. Not sure if I hurt it moving the tables or what. All I know is I HURT!!!!!!!!!! My offis is a pig sty right now because I tossed everything into that until tomorrow that goes back over to other club house.

So that is my day and now I am going to bed and turn the heated mattress pad on and see if I can get rid of this hurting body I have. But firts a hot shower to warm this cold body up!!!

GOD Bless America and ALL our Troops!!!!!

Thoughts and Prayers for ALL that need them!!!

Awww, Judy, I'm sorry it rained!  And I'm sorry you hurt all over.  You are such a good person, doing all of that for your tenants.  Karma, baby!  What goes around comes around.  Something good is going to happen for you--just wait and see!  Hope you feel better soon.
