Almost 10 and nobody started so here I am again...lol got alot done yesterday for the BBQ Monday and STILL not sure if it will rain or not!! One says chance another says no rain...sighs. I am only asking that IF its going to rain to WAIT til we are all through with our festivities!!! PLEASE??? Rick is going to cut the grass around the club house today so the grass is nice and short so the games can be played nice...and we will also be setting up the tables outside because the weather will be in the 70's. And if its a BBQ party its supposed to be outside right??? LOL I do have a cuple tables Inside for those that want to sit indoors. Party poopers....lol. But again depending on the weather on where most will be at. The club house on this side is very small compared to the other one on the other side. So PLEASE let it be NICE!!!!!

Still no word on my tenant that fell and broke something...wish someone would call me and let me know how she is doing.

Well I best get going here and get dressed. Still in my nightie here...wow. Usually I am atleast dressed by now!!! Bandit has the poops for some reason...he hasn't eaten anything he shouldn't have. So not sure why he has this problem. Feel bad for the little guy.

Thoughts and Prayers for ALL that need them!!!

Good morning Judy and everyone.....

Glad everyone seems to be doing well. I am okay. I have no funds to go anywhere. My daughters are in no position to financially help me. I have less then  $100 in savings left so here I sit!! I don't want to live with my daughters. One is in Iowa and I don't want to move there again. The other has a husband that doesn't make that possible. I can't get into details about that right now. It is a very long story. I will continue to stay with Pam as long as I can handle the cat!! I have other friends but most have cats or dogs I am allergic to too. I am on lists for housing....I have to wait for openings. Thank you all so much for caring...you are all just wonderful!!!

Wishing you all a beautiful day!! Prayers for many.

Love and hugs for all....connie d

Morning Connie!  We must have been posting at the same time.  I will continue to think about possible solutions for you.  I'm so glad you have Pam there to stand by you.  I'm just sorry for the allergies.  I still think you should advertise your services as a house sitter.  Vacation season is coming up.  At least it would get you away from Pam's pets for short periods of time.  And it would earn you a bit of extra money.  Maybe you could place an ad on Craig's List?  Or put up cards at the local grocery stores?  I would be glad to serve as a personal reference for you.  I'm sure Pam and your other friends would do the same. You are such a clean person and so honest.  You would be great at that service.

Love you and praying for you!

So, Connie, you're staying with Pam, huh? That still has to be better than your sister, right? Even with the cat. I like Vickie's idea of house sitting. It would get you some money plus get you out of the house for awhile. What about being a personal shopper? You could get stuff for people who can't get out of the house (because of surgery or whatever)? Or driving people to doctor's appointments? Just some ideas.

Good Morning Judy and OFF's to come!!

Busy weekend here, beauiful weather in the 60's so  Little chilly in the shade but Oh so nice and sunny!  Went to visit with relatives of our neighbor that passed a few years ago.  He was like family and his famil yhas now adopted us because we aways looked out for him. We love them and had a great visit and wonderful lunch together.

Today is my husband's family, just got back from church, did the 8:30 service, so we will spend the rest of the day cemetary hopping and a cookout later this evening with his fam.  Tomorrow is OUR day!  Planning on a movie and maybe some yard work but we will see how the weather holds.

Did part of my psych eval this week but have to wait for a cancellation this week hopefully to fini**** up and we can submit to insurance.  Made a trip to the ER tuesday night.  Accidentally took the wrong isulin, and a lot f it, then had a panic attack because I did!  I thought I was having a heart attack so we went at 10p and got home about 3a. Felt really stupid....

Well, need to get busy, hope everone has a safe and happy weekend!

Good morning Judy and Karen and all my OFF sistas!

It's not exactly sunny here, but it has quit raining for now.  I'll take it!  Judy, I hope the rain stays away long enough for the BBQ to be a big success!  You and Rick work so hard to foster a sense of community among your tenants.  I wonder if they realize it or appreciate it?  You've got a heart of gold, lady!

Karen, sorry about your scare and the ER the other night.  I don't think you were silly at all.  Enjoy your day with your hubby tomorrow!

Butch and I are surely enjoying our weekend alone in the house!  We were just talking this morning about how this was how we intended our retirement to be.  Just the two of us and Patty Kate (our dog, for those of you who are new) enjoying our lake house.  Ha!  We got a bit more than we bargained for, huh?  Oh, well, family comes first, right?

We did have a nice "date" last night.  Funny how low my expectations have become the last couple of years.  "Date night" has a whole new meaning these days.  We went to Wal Mart and then we stopped for supper at Herbert's Taco Hut.  We have never been there before, but we liked it!  Huge deck for al fresco dining.  I even ordered a pina colada, which is the first drink I've had in months.  Came in a HUGE glass.  I could barely drink any of it, but not to worry.  Butch helped me fini****!  LOL!

This morning I am tackling Benny's room while he is still gone.  I'm going to box up at least half of his toys and even throw some stuff away.  I'm so tired of plastic Easter eggs being under foot all the time.  He has been rather obsessed with keeping them, but the time has come for Mimi to assert her authority as HBIC (ha, Judy!).

Found out our company (Butch's niece and family) is coming on Friday, but has to leave on Sunday.  Awwww.  I was hoping they could stay for a few days.   They will be arriving late on Friday, so I don't quite know what to plan for supper.  Sounds like I'd better make a casserole or spaghetti or something that can "hold" for awhile.  I was going to make shrimp kabobs, but that doesn't sound practical now.  Got to plan breakfast for 9 people on Saturday and Sunday mornings.  I guess I could make a couple of quiches up this week and freeze them.  Got to give this a think.

Well, that's all the news from the Hill Country this morning.  Wishing you all a joyful day!

Love you all!

Good Afternoon Judy and OFF-

Well, I'm feeling a little stupid at the moment.  I got motivated to go ahead and pre-cook some food.  Set the oven and pulled out the George Forman grill.  Put the vegetables in the oven to roast and the chicken tenders on the George Forman grill.  Kept smelling something.  Kept thinking did I clean the oven last fall before leaving?  Looked into the oven, smokey but not anything visible.  Then looked again and found the lid to my drying oven in the broiling pan of the stove.  Oh well, I was wondering where I had stored the lid when I took the rest of the drier out of the oven on the stove.  So this year, I may have to dry with a new lid or improvise with aluminum foil.  Curses, I feel like a dumb dumb.

Vickie-  I like the idea of Connie house sitting for people to get away from the cat and earn some cash.  Didn't Mag do that until she got into Pampered Chef?  I used the silicone oven mitt to move the broiling pan to the porch with the melted lid!

Still rainy here.  The low is stalled off the coast of Maine.  At least the fisherpeople could go out on the lake in the rain since the winds have died down.  My cousin in Vermont reports the same rainy conditions.  There is a blob stalled out over my part of Maine and another stalled out over her part of Vermont.  Last night there was snow on the radar maps in Vermont and Quebec.

Went to the local nursery today and picked up half of my flower boxes.  I leave the empty boxes with them in the fall and they plant them in the spring.  Works out good and I end up spending less money because I don't end up buying whole flats of plants to plant the boxes.  So half the window boxes are in place now and plus two fushias that she saved for me.  Tomorrow I'll pick up the remainder of the boxes and the bedding plants that I buy to plant one flower bed in the front of the big cabin.  Still too cold and dreary to put out the tomato plants so they will wait another week in the greenhouse.  I'm also going to try to grow my own lettuce this year.  I have an old wheel barrow that I use as a planter.  This year instead of planting marigolds, I'm going to plant lettuce.

Not much else on tap for the remainder of the day.  Slowly cleaning the little cabin and getting it put back together.  At present I'm doing laundry washing all the dust sheets that I use to cover the furniture.  Otherwise, I'm going to be a bit lazy today and relax.

Positive thoughts to all of you in need.  Connie - I hope you have a solution soon.  At least you have a friend like Pam to let you stay until you can find something else.  Shame you can't get into Judy's complex, you two could partner on the paperwork, etc...  Anyway, I'll continue to send you positive vibes.

Hi Judy and my OFF family:

Getting on here late ... had to eat lunch and shower first. I'm watching the White Sox game. I just found my seventh-grade teacher on Facebook. Mr. G was kinda cool. I really liked him ... he was the first male teacher at our school (Catholic school, mostly nuns). He also led the drama club and I was involved in that, in two plays. So cool to see him online like that.

Got to get ready for work soon ... two days on, then I'm off to go to Chicago and see my family again. My brother says the caretakers are making my mom walk around the house. She was doing that when I called. Don't think she likes it, but she does it anyway.

Well, not much else happening. Hope everyone has a good day.
