Homeward Bound Thursday!

Good morning my sistas!

I am a happy camper today.  I get to go home today!

Have really enjoyed my stay in Waco with Carrie.  I got to go shopping yesterday.  There's a wonderful resale store here.  I scored big!  Got 3 new dresses (including one to wear to the bridal shower in June), a couple of summer weight cardigans, 3 new tops and a pair of shoes.  Quite a haul for under $200! 

Today Carrie and I are going to hit a couple of consignment furniture stores just to see what they have before I leave for home.  I'm still looking for some odds and ends for my guest rooms at Hilltop.  I need nightstands and things.  Might find something.  You never know.  I can get quite a bit in the back of my SUV.

On my way home, I plan to stop at the Outlet Mall and shop for a pair of boots.  I want a pair to wear to the George Strait concert in SA next month.  I have a pair in a box somewhere, but they are quite old and I really want a new pair, if I can find them at a reasonable price. 

I'd better go.  Lots to get done today.  Love you all!

Vickie sounds like Carrie is doing good and you two are having a lot of fun!

Well I think I'm going to change my address to the quilt shop! LOL! Going back today to get my boarders for the king log cabin quilt.  Wi**** was closer it takes me about 30 minutes to get there. I'm in the middle of farm country and not much out here.

Hope Connie is ok, has anyone heard from her?

Greetings Vickie, and all my OFF Sisters,

I did a lot of laundry at Colleen's yesterday, including my sheets.  Then, last night, I had a bloody nose and soiled three nightgowns and my sheets.  Argh.  I don't have my own washer and dryer.  Colleen is having company today.  So, I handwashed the items in my bathtub, and have them drying in the bathroom and garage.  Wi**** were warmer today.  Right now it's cool and damp.  Not good drying weather.

Today, I'm going to do some more tidying.  It looks like a hurricane hit my house inside.

Vickie, sounds like you're having lots of fun with your daughter. Glad she is doing well enough post-op to go shopping with you.

Trish, are the nose bleeds due to the sinus infection? That's quite a lot of nose bleeds. Hope you will be OK. 

I wound up working last night; it was a quiet night other than some problems getting our printers to work. We had an update to our software ... to make it better (ha!) and I think that might be why the printers were acting up. Then the Pacers-Heat NBA game  went into overtime, so we had to scramble to get that in ... so sports came in late (nothing we could do about that). 

It's gloomy and chillier today ... only in the 60s. I'm kind of sleepy ... I think after lunch and a shower I'll take a nap before work.

Post Script:  Finally home again and so happy to be here!  I may never leave again.  LOL!

Just have to add that I hit the jackpot at the furniture consignment store this morning.  Wow!  I bought a pair of nightstands, a small table for guest bedroom #4, a chair and small table for guest bedroom #5, and a small luggage stand for when we have company.  AND . . . I got my boots!  Oh, I love 'em. 

So, I told Butch I had to come home because I was all out of room in the car and all out of money!  LOL!

Butch is cooking dinner for us tonight.  Such a sweetheart!  He's got baby back ribs on the smoker and fresh corn on the cob.  Smells so good.
