Thursday Morning Hello from Michigan

Good Morning Sweeties,

I had a busy day yesterday.  I did some shopping in Owosso in the morning.  In addition to the ink cartridges, I got some more plastic bins for my basement, some plants for my garden, and some groceries.  When I got home, I put stuff away, and did some more tidying.  

Today, I'm watching the boys this morning.  Then, this afternoon, I'm heading to Lansing to get the mammogram and bone scan done that was supposed to be done awhile ago.

Must scoot.  Have to jump in the shower.

Good morning Trish and all my OFF sistas!

My, Trish, you sound so upbeat and cheerful this morning!  Your move was really good for you, wasn't it?

My tail is draggin' today, and it's all my own fault!  Oh, I am such a dummy.  I downloaded the audible.com app on my phone last night and then I downloaded one of my favorite books of all time, Outlander.  Even though I have read it a jillion times, HEARING it was a whole new experience!  I got all caught up in the story and stayed up until 2:30 a.m. listening to it and playing solitaire.  Oh, woe is me!  We have a big day today and I am so groggy and sleepy!  Just goes to show that wisdom doesn't necessarily follow age!  LOL!

Anyway, anytime you all want to make it rain, just call me.  This is my second time to schedule the professional window washers to come and yep, you guessed it--it's supposed to pour rain today.  Already very cloudy out there.  Geez, all anybody had to do to end the drought was ask me!  I've got the power!  LOL!

This morning we're going to the hearing aid place for Butch's evaluation.  Then to Gruene to pick up our new chest, and then--if it's not raining yet--we're going to stop at the Y for our workout.  So busy morning and then home for a busy afternoon with the window people.  As Trish says, better scoot!

Morning all!

When I pick Krissy up from school today were going to the quilt shop and pick out her boarders and backing for her quilt. I'm also going to get some material for a king size log cabin quilt. Last night I grab a handful of baked ruffles and as soon as I was done drank some water!!! What the heck was I thinking?!?! Here came the slimies. It's so funny how you can forget the simplest things. LOL!

I am sure Krissy will have fun picking out the boarders and backing for her quilt. I hope to one day see a picture of your log cabin quilt when it is done. It sounds wonderful!!

Sorry about the slimes....wish that happened to me!! I am really going to try hard to get back to basics. My summer clothes are all too tight. I will not by larger clothes!!

Trish....glad you got your cartridges and all the other things on your list. You had a busy day yesterday! Glad you are getting your mammogram and bone scan done....good luck!! I am sure the grandchildren loved having you with them this morning....they love having you near!!

Vickie....I love that book Outlander...I two have read it more then once!! I am guilty of staying up reading late to. It doesn't matter for me as I have no set time to get up. Hope the weather holds and you can get your windows washed!! I laughed about your comment about the drought!! I hope Butch appointment went well.  I can't wait to see your cute little Chest...a pic would be nice.

As for me.....I can't believe how much better my back feels today....it is so much better!! Now if they can figure out the rest ...I will be feeling great!! I can't wait to be able to take my walks again!!! My sister calmed down and even half heartedly apologized. I am not sure how sincere it was as she needed me to figure out that mess of a checkbook for her this morning!! I keep praying some place opens up soon!!

Today I am planning on resting up after all my appointments this week. I have a good book to read and can't wait to get back to it!  I have pool therapy and see my physical therapist tomorrow.

Oh, Connie, I am so happy to hear that your back pain is better!  Answered prayer, sweet friend!  As for your sister, all I can say is she leaves me speechless.  I'm glad she backed down a bit this morning, but we both know it's just temporary with her.  Do you think she might be bipolar?  When Chris is going through one of her phases, refusing to clean is one of her symptoms. 

I didn't know you were a Jamie and Claire fan!!!  OMG!  I'm so excited to find another Outlander!  Have you just read the one book, or have you read the rest of the series?  I'm so anxious for the next book to come out in December.  I've already pre-ordered it for my Nook!

Not much happening here. Back to work tonight. I feel a little better today. Not as much pain. Didn't do a lot yesterday, just laundry. That was enough. Watched baseball, read, got a few other little things done.

My back where they did the block doesn't hurt at all now...woooohooo!! Now if the Fibro would settle down I would be doing good! I am sure you are feeling it too!!

I have to ask you again...when you had the nerve block did you do it with just numbing the area or did you get put to sleep??

They gave me conscious sedation. I was awake but very relaxed. Didn't feel a thing. I couldn't drive for the rest of the day. I was pretty zoned out.
