Happy Mothers Day
Happy Mother's Day to all of you Mother's out there. I hope your day is exactly what you want!
My DH is asking where I want to go for lunch. Going out to eat isn't special for me, we do it a lot. I'd rather have a quiet day at home to crochet and have no extra demands on my time.
everyone enjoy. And for those who have lost their Mom's, I know you are thinking of her today, hopefully with love.
My DH asked the same. The last thing I want to do is fight the crowds. He is just going to pick up a piazza, topping for me crust for the wild animals. Watching a movie I haven't see before. All is good. The youngest DD is in KY/TN and the oldest is out in CA. The middle DD is five miles away sleeping, she works nights.
Good Morning Everyone,
Happy Mothers Day to all the women here. Those who gave birth, as well as the Aunts, Fosters, Adopted, Teachers, and any woman who has touched the life of children in one way or another. My sister has no children of her own, but is a very loving, generous Aunt to my kids, grandchildren, niece and nephew.
I had a wonderful time at Colleen's last night. She planned a great dinner, grilled steaks, baked potatoes, corn on the cob, steamed cauliflower, and Cheddar Bay Biscuits. After dinner, the adults played Scrabble, which I lost both games. Trent is a fiend at that game. I received the most beautiful card, which the kids made, using their fingerprints to make flower petals, which is adorable. Also, all three made me a picture with their hand prints. Too cute. The adults gave me a gift card to the Christian bookstore, where I want to buy a new Bible. I never found my old one.
Today, Frankie is being dedicated at church, along with two of his cousins. We don't baptize, or Christen, babies. Instead, the parents come forward with their children, and promise to raise them in Christian homes, teaching them the Bible. The congregation also promises to support the parents in this endeavor, in and out of church.
Also, Colleen's family will spend time with Trent's Mom. Colleen was taken out to Red Lobster on Friday, for her Mothers Day dinner.
I'll be shopping, seeing if I can get my haircut, and then watching the Phillies game. They're out in Arizona, so the game starts around 4:00 today.
Hugs and Prayers,
Trish

Happy Mother's Day to all!
Piney, good to see you post this morning. Sorry about the cold weather. I hope you can stay warm and cozy. And Carolyn, I'm with you--I really don't enjoy going out to eat so much these days. I would like a day to do nothing. HA! Like that is ever going to happen around here! Tee hee!
Today I am busy packing for Mexico tomorrow. Got up early to finish my laundry. Benny and I wrapped Christie's present and he "signed" her card. Chris gave me a Barnes and Noble gift card (for more Nook books), which is what I wanted. Gotta have my books! LOL!
Carrie will be here this afternoon. Not sure what she can have yet on her pre-op diet. I need to call her this morning and see. I might need to run to the store if I don't have the right stuff here.
Our flight leaves tomorrow morning at (gasp!) 6 a.m. Which means we have to be at the airport at 5 a.m. Which means we have to get up at 4 a.m.! Holy cow! So I'd better have everything packed and ready to go tonight.
So, busy day for this old mom. But I'll have all my chickies with me this evening, and that's worth everything. Love you all!
Good morning Jennifer and everyone.....

We went up north yesterday to take lilacs to both moms graves. All we can do now that and remember their love. I got to remembering some of the things we tried to do as kids to give mom a nice day when we didnt have money for a gift! We were imaginitive kids! Happy memories.
Took my stepdad out for lunch which he enjoyed. He doesnt drive anymore so goes anywhere any one offers him a ride and it got several errands done for him also. Our last promise to mom is taking care of the old grouch! and we do it with love.
