Good morning everyone....

It sure seems like we are getting later and later with the thread being started. I guess everyone is just busy.

I had a good nights sleep last night and feel better today. I have an appointment with my  Physical Therapist today at 2:00 PM. I hope he can help me with the pain. Other then that I really don't have anything else planned today.

My daughter, Carrie called last night. She wants me to come down for Mother's Day. My friend Pam, also known as the kids  "other mother" is going with. She can drive and I can relax and take some pain meds if needed.

I am so glad those three women were found and their kidnappers were caught!!!

Wishing you all a great day!! Prayers for those in need...special requests as well.

Love and hugs to all...connie d

Hi Connie!  And all my OFF sistas!

Connie, so glad you are going to see Carrie, et. al., for Mother's Day.  Love that Pam is driving you!  That's so great.

We are having a slow morning around here.  Guess neither Butch nor I feel much like doing anything this morning.  But we are going to the YMCA for our first visit this afternoon.  I can't wait!  Chris gets off at 1 p.m., so we'll go without Benny this first time.  But soon enough, we'll be going and taking him with us.  Just not this first day.

In the meantime, I'm doing laundry this morning (gee, does it ever pile up in a hurry!) and reading my Nook.  Also working on another little cap for Loomed with Love.  I need to try and post the pic I took of Morgan's cap today.  I'll work on it, promise.

Need to get on-line and look up the weather in Tijuana next week.  Carrie and I don't know what to pack!  This time next week, on Tuesday, May 14th, she will be having her WLS.  Prayers would be much appreciated!

Glad to see than Cindy made it to her mom's in NC.  Hope that Sandra continues to do well with her recovery from knee replacement surgery.  Praying for Annette as she goes through chemo.  I know there are others with special needs, but I just can't think of everyone right now.

Love you all!

Hello Vickie....glad you and Butch took the morning off. Have fun at the YMCA!! When Benny can go he will love it...all that interaction with other kids will be great. I am so Happy for Carrie. Seemed like her surgery was a long time off and here it is next week already. I continue to keep Carrie and you in my prayers!

My appointment with the Physical Therapist went well. I am really hurting now. He said I probably will because of all the things he did. I will SURVIVE!!! I will be starting pool therapy Friday. I can't wait. They said the water is really warm/hot....I will love that!!

Love you...hugs....connie d

Hello Connie and Vickie!

Connie I hate that you can't see to get relief from the pain. I sure hope the therapy will help.  We are going to my mother-in-laws this weekend for Mother's Day. I guess we get to feed the whole family!  Woo hoo! My mom has been gone for 13 years and boy do I miss her... seems like just yesterday.

Vickie, I think laundery is lke rabbits, it just keeps multiplying when you put it in that darn basket! I swear it is just the two of us and I have 3 or four loads a week! It never seems to end.

I wish this rainy weather would break...I just don't want to do anything when it is like this.  I have reports to write for meetings on the 14th and I just can't seem to get motivated to do them today.  Guess I need to light a fire under my butt and get busy!

Enjoy every day and prayers to those in need!

Karen

Good Afternoon Connie and Ladies,

I finally sat down for a few minutes.  I ran a few local errands this morning.  Then, I mopped my kitchen and bathroom floors.

I finally had a meeting with the pastor at my church, which is the first step toward becoming a member.  I long to volunteer in the Nursery department, and I have to be a member in order to do that.  Next step is to meet with a few deacons, and just share my testimony with them.  After that, the congregation takes a vote on accepting me as a member.

I have some more tidying/organizing to do, and then, depending on how I feel, I'd like to go to a CPR class at church.  The local fire department is coming in to train the Nursery workers, in case of emergency.  It's not mandatory, just suggested.

The Phillies are in San Francisco tonight, so the game doesen't start till 10:00 EDT.

Must scoot.  Phone calls to make.

Hugs,

Trish

Hello Trish....glad you got your errands run....and your floors mopped.

So do you like the pastor at your church? Is it a good fit for you? I guess it must be if you are going ahead with the steps to be a member. Good for you!! I think working in the nursery would be wonderful for you...you love children so much. I hope it all works out for you!

Love and hugs....connie d

Hi Connie,

Yes, I do like my pastor, and I do believe it's a good fit for me.  It helps that he and his wife are good friends with Colleen and Trent.  He is a lot like my last two pastors in Pennsylvania.  I'm really glad I feel comfortable there, because I like sitting with Colleen, Trent and Isabel.

Hi Carla....our great adventurer!!

Glad things are going so well for your friend after her surgery. She is so fortunate to have you there to help!!

5 calls....is Carl missing you that much?? Tell him if he keeps calling about things he lost or can't find you will be taking him to assisted living as he shouldn't be left alone...I am just kidding....it might make him think though....LOL
