its Saturday Whats Up?????
Good Morning Carla and OFF Family to Follow,
I wasn't feeling well last night. Had a fever, and other crazy symptoms. Now, I'm a bit torn up. I can't go to the Munchkins' soccer game, because I don't want to expose thm to aeny possible bug I may be fighting off. Colleen is running a 10K this morning, and I'm not sure I should expose her. She ran cross-country in high school, and those races were 5K's. She wants to do a half-marathon, and possibly race with Chris sometime. Chris had run cross-country and track in high school for a year or two. Colleen letterd four years.
I hope everyone has a blessed day.
Hugs,
Trish

Morning OFF family...56* here sort of cloudy but the sun IS out!! Not sure what we are doing today yet but talking of going to a gun show here where they have civil war artifacts etc and shows. Should be interesting to see. Its only $6 to get in so why not. Something different to do and get away from here!!!
Yesterday went so fast I still don't know where the hours went!!! WOW!!!!!! Had to go in the office today to finish writing up the rent checks that came in....had one money order with no name on it nor which side it came from!!! Talk about pulling my hair out trying to figure that one out on who it belonged to!!!! But I got it!! Then I had another one that paid in cash...no cash here...money order or checks only!!!! Sighs. Gotta love these old people!!! LOL
Today is the Kentucky Derby...I see alot of them have Secretariat in them...wonder if any of them will win today. One has already been scratched.
Well Rick is waiting for me so best get my butt in gear and sign off...Thoughts and Prayers for ALL that need them!!!!
HUGSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
Good morning Carla, Trish, Judy, and all my OFF sistas!
Happy Saturday and Happy Weekend to you all! The sun is shining and it's slowly warming up around here. Thank goodness. I don't like cold weather in winter, much less in May!
I had such a big day yesterday. I laid all that new sod all by myself. Whew! Let me tell you, my back is "talking to" me about it today. But the backyard is starting to look so nice. It was nothing but dirt a few weeks ago. Now it looks like a real yard. I have to water daily to keep all the new grass alive. Hope it takes root and grows lush and green.
Today I want to fix some new pots for my "sun spot" in the corner of the back yard. I have the shade flower bed in one corner, which is doing well (since Lulu went home!). I have one sunny spot in the opposite corner, but instead of making another flower bed, I'm just doing an assortment of pots with bright sun loving flowers instead.
Butch got all his landscape timbers in place and got his new bed filled with a lovely mixture of dirt, compost, and cow manure (ha!), so he's ready to plant his vegetable bed today. He's excited about his garden too. We are just two old country folk livin' in the city--LOL! We're just not used to being hemmed in and all these neighbors!
Yesterday afternoon I drove into New Braunfels to buy some bright colorful yarn for the Loomed with Love caps I'm making. I decided to stop in at Wal Mart while I was there. Since we moved from Nacogdoches, I haven't been going to the Wal Mart in NB at all (WM was about the only place we had to shop in Nac and I was sick of it). Come to find out that now there is a person at the exit at WM who wants to check your cash register receipt as you leave. Well, the dumb checker didn't GIVE me my receipt. (She later lied and said she did.) They stopped me at the door because I had a huge bag of potting soil in my basket, and obviously it wasn't in a WM sack. Asked me for my receipt and of course, I didn't have it. What a huge to-do. Won't go into all the gory details, but I have never been treated like a thief before in my life. I don't think I'll be going back there again.
I did buy some really cute bright yarn colors and I'm looking forward to making lots of cute caps for kids undergoing chemo treatments. First one is going to be for Morgan, Nan's sweet grand daughter.
Well, day's a'wastin'. Love you all!
Hello!
Well it's Junior Prom day, Krissy got her nails done yesterday, hair today and a ton of pictures later today. She's so excited, she's talking nonstop.
I got my quilt top put up on my design board and now just have to sew the blocks together. I'm so proud of myself, I did a pretty good job for the first time.
Hope you all have a great day, thoughts and prayers for all,
Debbie
Good Morning Carla and everyone.....
Carla...where did you go so fast??
Trish...sorry you are so sick and have to miss your families events today. You are right ....no use in spreading the germs and getting others sick. Colleen sure did good with track to letter 4 times...good for her!!
Judy.....when I was married ....my husband (#2) and I went to lots of gun shows. I really enjoyed the old civil war artifacts. It was a lot of fun! My husband would trade up guns all the time too.
Vickie....your flower bed sound cute but I do like the idea of lots of pots and colorful flowers too. I am sure your yard is really starting to look like a real yard now. Good luck to Butch planting his vegetables...sounds yummy! WalMart is going a bit too far. I guess I can understand why they need to do it....so darn many people steal these days!! It was the cashiers fault for not giving you the receipt. They shouldn't have treated you that way! I think it is wonderful that you are making Morgan a cape...so sweet...she will love it!! You are so thoughtful and kind!
Debbie....I remember back to those days of proms for my daughters....and also granddaughters. It was always so exciting and so much fun!! I am sure she will have tons of memories!! Sounds like your quilt is really coming along nicely. I am glad you are doing so well with it...I knew you would!
I am going to try to get out today and mail a few things. I need to pick up a birthday and graduation card as well. Feeling better today but really tired. I really couldn't sleep last night. I was still awake at 6:00 AM. I was sleeping great and then my ex came over and rang the doorbell at 10:30 AM and woke me up. I have told him so many times call first or text. I sleep crazy hours sometimes. He does this too often. He of course woke my sister up and she was having a fit!! Now I remember why he is my ex....he doesn't listen!! I really don't care so much.... it is dealing with my sister that is so difficult!
Wishing you all a beautiful day!! Prayers for so many of our OFF sisters and their families as well. Special prayers today for Nan and Morgan!!
Love and hugs to all...connie d
Hi Carla and my OFF family:
The weather really cooled off here ... from the high 70s yesterday to 49 today. Needed to get my robe and slippers out from just using my sandals to walk around in. My feet were cold.
Back to work tonight. It's raining and my body is not happy with this weather. Really hurt last night, which made me really cranky.
Trish, hope you feel better. Vickie, try not to overdo it. Judy, enjoy the gun show. Connie, try not to overdo it ... just because you feel good.
