Happy and CHILLY Friday!
Good morning my OFF sistas!
Wow, it is COLD here this morning. Only 40 degrees on the back porch when we let the puppies out an hour ago. Internet weather says we dropped to 38 last night! Was it really just 2 days ago that we were in bathing suits cruising out on the lake? What the heck is going on this year?
Got a fun-filled day of yard work and laundry ahead of me. But that's okay. I can always bundle up, if I can find my hat, scarf and gloves again! Tee hee!
Last night I was working on another hat for Loomed with Love. I haven't made it into town to buy yarn yet, so I'm using up my scrap yarn right now. I had some bright pink left over and Benny just loved it! He wanted that little pink hat. It's all ruffly and frilly, but no matter. That was HIS hat! He is such a funny bunny. I let him have it. It's no big deal to me. I can always make more.
Got the final payment made for Carrie's WLS in Mexico in 2 weeks. It's really happening fast now. She is on her pre-op diet and she has (PRAISE THE LORD!) quit smoking!!! She is getting very excited. Me, too! I cannot wait to have my beautiful girl morph into her new body this year.
Well, I guess that's all the news from the Hill Country this morning. Wishing you all a lovely and warm weekend! Ha! Love you all!
Good Morning Vickie and all to Follow,
We are finally having Spring weather, and I love it. I did a little bit of yardwork yesterday, and hope to do some today. I also have to go into town and do some laundry. I'm really tired, so I'm not sure how much I'll accomplish.
Colleen may need me to babysit this evening, so she and Trent can go on a date. Hope I get my energy back soooon.
Must scoot.
Hugs and Prayers,
Trish

Good morning Vickie and everyone.....
Vickie....the weather sure has turned for you...that is really a drastic change!! It is 39 here again today so I can relate with how you are feeling....brrrrrrrr!!! Carrie is very lucky that she has you to help with her WLS costs. I am so happy for her!! She will love her new self....can't wait to see pics!! I know she is very appreciative and she deserves this as she does much to help you too. She seems to be a very sweet and caring young lady....just like her mom!!
Trish....sorry you are feeling so fatigued. Hope that improves soon. At least you are getting Spring...that is a plus!! Enjoy the sun and warmer weather!
As for me...about the same today. My friend Pam did run to the grocery store for me last night. I just can't do the stairs right now. We live in an upper condo. I keep praying for warmer weather so I can feel better and get out of here!! I go to the pain clinic next Tuesday and Wednesday. Wednesday is when I get the nerve block in my back. I pray that will help!!
I am missing my daughters and grandchildren...I had so much fun there! I think I will try to start a new puzzle today. I enjoy doing them so much. I need to keep busy!
Wishing you all a great day!! Prayers for so many of our OFF friends and family.
Love and hugs to all....connie d
Morning all!
Still having horrible pain in my back. It's been so hot here, in the upper 90's suppose to be in the mid 70's by Sunday. Yay!! Would love to have spring weather for awhile.
Vickie, so happy for Carrie. Her life will change for the better and she's so lucky that your able to help her.
Trish, hope you get your energy back soon.
Connie, prayers for you, the nerve block should help. Will you have relief right away or does it take a few days?
Hope you all have a great day, thoughts and prayers for all,
Debbie
Good Morning OFF Family,
Vickie, had to find a sweatshirt so I could take a walk with my PT this morning. Such a big swing in the temperature!! Go figure. So glad to hear Carrie's surgery is just around the corner. With you there by her side she will do wonderfully.
Trish, hope you get some rest and that your energy level rebounds.
Connie, You are so lucky to have Pam in your life. What a great friend. Praying that the nerve block gives you the relief you need.
Debbie, what causes the pain in your back? Chronic pain is so hard to deal with. Hope you get some relief soon.
Finished with my home PT after my knee replacement today. That has gone well. Next will be 4 weeks of PT. i will be so glad not to have to wear compression hose, not use the walker and not to be able to drive. I've been amazed at how well my recovery is going. Need to get up and walk; I'm getting stiff.
Hugs & prayers to all, Sandra
Hi Vickie and my OFF family:
Gee, we're warmer here than in Texas. 76 but gloomy ... rain is coming, which is why I've been in pain. Knees, elbows, shoulders, etc. ... just about everything else.
Got money to pay rent and a little for groceries (cat food, basically), then went to pick up one prescription and a couple things at Walgreens and I'm broke. Need to pay the water bill that I've been putting off for awhile and now have to pay a deposit too ... so don't know where I'll get the money for that. I have some of it, just not all, and not with the deposit they now want. I also have gas in the car at least, too.
And I also can't afford my Cymbalta ... it's $569 and I don't have it ... called my doc and asked if he could put me on something cheaper for now. Geez, cymbalta worked so well, too, but until I meet my deductible, I can't afford it. I thought I was going to get it this week, but the prescription I got at Walgreens was (gasp!) $83 ... just for this powder for the rashes under my panni. I never had to pay that much for that before. Geez, the stuff is like gold, I guess. Soon, I hope I meet my deductible and everything will be free. But now, it all costs.
Well, I need to get to work soon. Have a good day.
