Happy Wednesday to all my wonderful OFF friends!!
Hello, everyone! Wow, what a mixture of weather and life experiences we are all dealing with!
Thursday will be a “day of rest” for me…Tuesday was so hectic for me: up early after a bad night, drive an hour to the peridontist (I have dental phobia…lol), had a serious cleaning, no freezing, though apparently my gums were badly inflamed…unfortunately, the hygienist showed me that I have a front tooth that the root was badly exposed due to the gum deteriorating. What amazed me was that I didn’t notice that before! Well, I do not usually wear my reading glasses when I’m brushing my teeth!. Lolol
....she said this likely happened due to my radiation and my medications, which also causes extreme dry mouth, which I have had for thirteen months. So this means that I have to have GUM SURGERY. They apparently take tissue from the palate and transplant it to the gum line to cover the root up. Now, I have been thru a lot, but, since a young child, I have always been fearful of dental work and I am not looking forward to this at all…I’m such a weenie! I have to go back to see the dental surgeon next week to discuss the options.
From there, I had a two hour treatment for stimulating mobility of my lymph fluid on my legs…we also discussed nutrition and I bought the book about eating according to your blood type, I’m an O. Got back to the city and bought groceries, stopped at the cemetery to work on Mom & Dad’s grave, then home to make dinner. I was rather tired…hopefully I will sleep well tonight.
It was such a lovely short-sleeve kind of day here! Derek is dealing with the outgoing tenants from his rental house, five university kids -18-21yrs), boys and girls, and he said they left the house in such a disgusting mess that even the professional cleaners were appalled. Apparently they ripped expensive new blinds off one of the windows, gouged the newly--painted walls, ripped a six foot tear (HOW??) in the kitchen flooring, grease and dust all over, as if they had never cleaned the kitchen nor vacuumed since last September, and they even left behind a badly leaking laundry tub instead of letting him know so he could go and fix it. I hate to see the water bill now.
However, this IS one of life’s lessons, he wanted to buy the house and rent it to the students for a small income to supplement his winter plowing and now he sees that some kids have not got a clue how to do normal everyday chores and seem okay to live in their own filth. I told him he should take photos and send them to the kids’ parents!
I have a lot of computer work for Thursday and also have to prepare paperwork for a newspaper interview about our BPW club and special event. Our YouTube address is http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2sQbEjiULmM&feature=youtu.be and will show you some of what I’ve been working at so hard since the Fall. Still so much to do *s*
The nectarine tree out front is blooming and my lilac bushes are covered with leaves and fat buds, so early! v JB just mowed the lawns for the first time two days ago and now they all need mowing again! With over an acre of grass around our house, and another acre around Derek’s place next door and now they are mowing the next yard over, another acre yard, for the old lady who lives there alone, as well as moving the apple orchard, so grass cutting is a major job for JB and Derek…luckily they have several tractors and mowers and a bush hog.
And with the green grass comes TICKS! Already, JB found one on his leg after working outside…nasty critters!
I send prayers and loving healing energy to those wishing it and I hope that everyone enjoys and healthier, happier day.

Nancy....sorry to hear you need surgery on your gums. I am sure all will go well. It must be awful to have a dental phobia. My DIL has that too and I know what she goes through. I wish you the best!
I can only imagine what Derek is dealing with when having students renting. Some are so good and some are just awful! I hope he charges them for the repairs! I agree...send pics to the parents!
I jus****ched your video....WOW...that is a lot of work....so much involved!! Great clip! One thing I noticed...on the pic of all the ladies lined up holding hands...they are all tall and thin....would have been good to have all shapes and sizes. Just my opinion....not judging.
Love and hugs....connie d
