Any hints/suggestions?
My skin has become like tissue paper, like every other "old" lady out there. I just tore a 1x2 patch off my arm, right next to the 4 inch long scratch the dog gave me, which intersects the hickey-like bruise from bumping into the door jam. You get the picture.
So, here's the question: does it just suck to get old and deal with it, or is there a supplement I should be taking that I'm not( I'm diligent about my regular vitamins and such), lotion, potion or magic pill?
This is not the time of year to start wearing long sleeves!

Susan...I have exactly the same thing...my doctor said it isn't anything to be concerned about. I have marks all over my arms...purple...I get them with any little bump. Even my watch gives me marks. I hate it now with the warmer weather coming...so ugly. My skin is very thin on my arms too!
Let me know if you get any answers!

I have a couple of friends who are retired RN's. One is older than me, knows my history, and says that I'm too young for this to be happening. So, thankfully, I have my annual exam and labs later this month. Trust me, we're gonna talk!
Been doing some reading on the subject and it seems that COQ10 and lots of Omega-3's can help. Going to give it a try, sure can't make it worse. I'll report back if I find out anything more.

My husband has the same problem. He is 67 years young. Any kind of bump it turns black and blue and tears his skin with any kind of bump. His skin will pull back and bleed and he puts it back in place and when it heals it is a white blotch. He has all colors on his arms. His mother is not quite as bad as him but she is 91. So far my skin is not thin at all and I am 66.
