Sunday Morning in Michigan

Good Morning Everyone,

I believe Spring is finally here.  If not, I sure hope so.  We had glorious weather yesterday, and it was perfect timing.

My grandchildren had a soccer game yesterday.  Picture kids ages 3-5 running up and down the field, kicking the ball into the wrong goal, running to the sidelines to see Mommy and Daddy when they get hurt, etc.  Lincoln was so adorable.  He was pulling at his teammate's shirt to get to the ball.  Izzy has a great kick, and almost scored a goal.  

After the game, my sister and I went shopping for Colleen.  When we got to her house, my Christopher, and his wife, Casey, had arrived.  Casey did Isabel's makeup and hair, using her stage makeup, and tricks of the trade.  Izzy was in girly girl heaven.  The recital was neat, and then we all went out to dinner, at her favorite restaurant.  

Today, Eileen and I have some cooking to do.  Then, it's off to Franklin's 1st birthday party.  Colleen is expecting 16 kids, and all their parents, plus grandparents, etc.  Well, my grandchildren have 8 cousins, and lots of aunts and uncles, on their father's side.  Plus, Colleen invited a few friends with kids.  

It's so cute how Lincoln has taken to Eileen. He's seen her before, but not since Christmas 2011.  He's only 3 years old.  She's planning on returning with Mom in August, before school starts for Isabel and Lincoln starts preschool.

Morning Trish! Sounds like it WAS a perfect day for you! WOW!!!

Today here is is 52* and rain...calling for heavy rain soon and I am praying we do NOT flood!!!!! Everytime we get heavy rain I pray we do not flood here. I have seen the pictures and heard stories of how it flooded here in MY apartment and a couple others...NOT pretty!!!!!!!! Yesterday was so nice!!! I would really like to find out who made mother nature mad this time!!!! Almost May and the flowers are hardly out here.

Yesterday just about supper time the power went out...ofcourse they all thought it was OUR fault!!! It happened to be a truck hit some wires that caused it...many tenants said we need to get some generators here!! Yeah right. Not gonna happen. Power was off for about an hour maybe hour and a half if that. Just glad our phone didn't work because the power went out...haha. But it didn't stop some from coming to our apartment to ask us why the power was out. Like I knew?? I had to call to find out like they could have done...but I am the fearless leader I guess...LOL.

Watched the NASCAR race last night...hahahaha I fell asleep and missed most of it!!! Did get to see Happy Harvick win though!! Guess I was tired to have slept through it like that!! Then it was time for bed and I was wide awake...didn't get to sleep til about 2-3 am. Nice. My turn to open up this morning. In the rain ofcourse....grrr got back on this side and the squad was here and not sure who it was for. Seems like so many are getting sick it scares me now. We have become so close to these people they are like family. So its hard when they get sick ya know?

Made a cake yesterday. Found it on FB. Take an angelfood cake mix and a 20 oz can crushed pineapple in its own juice and mix the two together. Nothing else. Pour into a greased 9x13 pan and bake it for 30 minutes in a 350* oven. OMG is it ever good!!!!!!!!!! Going to get some strawberries and cool whip today to put on it...yummmmmmmmmm!!!!!!!!! So quick and easy to make!!!

Well better get going here and see what the rain is doing...

im out the door to North Carolina! i hope the rain has stopped in the mountains. Im going to take overnight to get there. 

first Stop Starbucks! I havent had it since Tuesday!!!!!! No winder ive had a headache!!!!!

Hi Trish, Judy and Carla, and others to follow:

Gee, where is everyone? It's after 4 p.m. and I'm at work. Never got around to posting at home. It's slow here on Sunday. I was busy last night; don't expect to be so busy tonight.

Talked with my brother and we might go up to the Wisconsin Dells after Memorial Day weekend; he has a timeshare and they have been trying to get him to go up there for an update visit. It would be a quick trip and just a little fun, plus he gets a $50 gift card for a restaurant, so it's free food, too. Then I'd spend time with mom when I'd get back and then drive home. Not what I was originally planning but sounds like a good idea.

Well, I should get to work. Carla, drive safely ... don't go too long without coffee again.

I slept very late.  By the time I was up and getting things done outside, it started to rain.

So I called my older sister, who had a DS in '06.  We are going on a cruise either Dec/Jan and I took her shopping.  She has had foot surgery, lost bone due to lack of calcium absorption.  We went shopping for shrugs and bathing suits.  What I thought would be a few hours turned into SEVEN!  

I love her to death but, has trouble making choices

I have also been shopping with the DD this past week for Disney and with DH for swimsuits and such.  The poor man is getting a little upset with my time shopping.  I have always hate to shop so he has never had to get used to it.
