Hi Cindy and my OFF family:

Very gloomy here ... not going to stay on here long because I need to get in the shower and have lunch and get ready for work. 

Cindy, sorry about your friend's cancer. That's tough. Seems like lots of people our age are getting hit ... we are at the age now. To think my dad was in his late 50s when he got prostate cancer the second time, followed by colon cancer. He died at 62 in 1984. Mom is still alive and kicking, though. She turns 89 in June. 

Carla, sorry about your friends and your car. Hope you have a safe trip to N.C.

Vickie, hope your hubby can get comfortable in retirement. My brother is retiring in May and is so happy about it. He turns 64 in August. He put it off for a couple years longer but is ready now that they had to sell his MIL's house (that they were living in) because she wanted to move into the retirement village. They just moved into their "cabin" in western Illinois, it's on a lake. They also have a condo in Florida. So they're doing just fine. I'm sure you and Butch will do OK, too. Just convince him it will be OK and he won't get bored being with you all the time. Get him involved with something.

Finally a sunny lovely day here in Michigan.  I was suppose go to Red Lobster today with the daughter and granddaughter but, they backed out on me.  I have had the best service, some so so and once in a great while Judy's cloned waitress.  I have always had little plates.  The food has always been good, but we have a Seafood Restaurant here that is wonderful so I don't go much.
