It's Saturday . . . What's Up?

Good Morning, everyone.  What are you up to this weekend?

We are taking a trip to the valley to go to Costco.  That's one of my favorite things to do.  Anyway, it's going to be warm over there and we'll have the dog so we decided to get there as the store opens.  We'll stop at Starbucks on the way out of town and enjoy our favorite coffee beverages on the road.

We found out that one of my husband's cousin's wives has stage 4 cancer in the liver, kidneys, and pancreas.  They think it originated in the colon so were going to do a colonoscopy to find out.  I guess that matters because finding the place of origin dictates the treatment plan. 

I have a colonoscopy scheduled for early June.  This is the 10 year mark following my chemo treatments for colon cancer.

Morning Cindy and OFF family yet to come in today...

Man what is it with all this cancer?????? Seems it is all over the place!!!!!!!!!! Just found out 2 more of my tenants have it!!! So sad!!! And it never gets those that are mean and nasty!!! Always the nice people!!! WHY???????? Cindy...prayers will be said for your husbands cousin!!! Hope she doesn't suffer!!!

Today was my day to sleep in...HAHAHAHHAAA!!!!!!!!!! 7:48am ding dong the door bell rings several times!!!!!! Here is one of the tenants...my toilet doesn't flush!!!!! So Rick goes to his apartment...ready for this one? He didn't push the lever all the way down!!!!!!!!!! GRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So there went my morning for sleeping in!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My new tenant that changed his mind twice and then called me yesterday morning before 7am wanting that apartment afterall? Said he would be here about 4 pm to sign the lease...no show no call and I waited for him til 5:30!!!!!!!!!! He doesn't dare call me again for an apartment!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! One of the guys he works with told me his is an idiot!! He has worked with him for 6 months now and every day he has worked the same machine mind you...and everyday they have to show him what button to push to run that machine!!! OMG!! Sooooooooooo I am now done with this guy!!!!!!! No more being the nice manager here. I am done with him.He wants an apartment...go look someplace else!!!!!! Go waste their time!!

Went out for dinner last night to Red Lobster. Did they change that much since I have been there last? I always thought they gave you a small plate to set your cheddar biscuit on while you ate it? I noticed other people had small plates...I also asked our waitress for lemon for my water...didn't get that either. Had to ask her again for it...took forever to get that. When she brought the bill, she said here is your bill set it on the table as I replied to her I would like to order desert and she walked away right in mid sentance!!!!!!!!!!!!! WTH???????? So we sat there while Rick finished his beer and she FINALLY came back for the bill to take up...she said is this finally ready for me???? I gave her a look!!!!!!!! And I said... NOOOOOOO!!!! I WANT TO ORDER DESSERT TO GO!!!!!!!!!!! Oh OK...she says...what would you like? I told her and she goes back to order it. Anyhow another woman previously had brought us a couple to go boxes for our letovers. I told Rick I bet she doesn't bring us a bag when she brings our desserts. BINGO!!!!!! Rick asked her for a bag...boy did she act put out!!! HELLO!!!! 4 boxes..bag would be nice little girl...she takes our bill up to pay brings back the change...we take the change and leave...darn no pennies...sucks to be her!!!!!!!! Wonder if she figured it out??? OK go ahead and slam me once again for going out to eat....but all I can say is RED LOBSTER atleast this one here SUCKS!!!!!!! It sure isn't like I remembered it to be!!!! YUCK!!!

OK need to get dressed and on with my day...starting off with a walk with Bandit...potty time...lol 53* right now!!  :-) Not sure whatelse we will do today...I know I have dishes to do...yuck.

Sounds like you got a bad waitress. We went to Red Lobster for my birthday, and had plates for our biscuits. Waitress kept bringing them, too ... lemon for the water, too, bags for our boxes ... she was wonderful. My brother said they had the same waitress the last time they were there, and she is first-rate. Sometimes you just don't get a good server. Too bad. 

Good morning Cindy P., Judy, and all my OFF sistas!

Doin' the happy dance this morning!  Packing up for our weekend away.  It's gray and ominous looking outside, and I still couldn't be happier!  Boy, oh, boy, do we need this weekend away from the dogs and the daughters and the baby! 

Sorry for my rant last night.  I understand that my husband is worried about giving up his job; I just don't understand why.  We planned for retirement and here we are--at retirement.  I think we'll be okay.  He thinks we're going to turn into bag people.  Sigh.  I don't know why I'm surprised.  He absolutely hates change.  Always has.  I had to threaten to leave him before he would buy our first house.  For some reason, big decisions just paralyze him. 

Anyway, it will all work out, I'm sure.  Not going to worry about it right now.  Instead I'm going to go have a fun weekend alone with my sweetie!

Cindy it sounds like you are doing well,,,that is great! Have a great time at Costco's!!! So sorry about your husband's cousin's wife. I will keep her in my prayers. I agree with Judy...too much Cancer going around...and way too many good people lost!

Judy....no way could I handle your job. Years ago I could....now I would SHOOT them....LOL!!! Glad you aren't giving an apartment to that guy. He sounds like nothing but trouble!

As for me....I am going to pick Kyleigh up soon. My daughter highlighted and trimmed my hair last night...I feel better already!  Just going to sit back and enjoy my day with Kyleigh.

Good Morning Ladies, others that may come by or lurkers. . .

Vickie, glad you had the talk with hubby, I agree with everything Annette said. . .  men and retirement is a tough one, I think they get caught up in the whole provider thing.  Hopefully, he finds a way to enjoy retirement or maybe even find something to do that he likes parttime. . .

Judy, I had to laugh at your Red Lobster thing. . .  I have not been to Red Lobster in about 20 years and Tony has asked about it once and I said, the day you take me there, it will be our breakup meal, if I want seafood, I want it from someplace where the servers are interested in their customers and the food is not going to make me sick. . .  I prefer Bonefish Grill or something else altogether. . . as for the tenants, aah, there world is full of all kinds and you get to see it up close and personal, good if you can find the humor, or like Connie said, we might be watching you on the News and as for the guy who can't make up his mind, 3 strikes is an out in baseball. . .

I've been up since 7 and it is an absolutely beautiful spring day, so instead of going to the gym I took Roxie on a nice long walk with a neighbor and her dog, Maggie, who is Roxie's best friend . . .  after I get off of here I am going to get my manicure, then go to see my grandson play his game, then errands to run and home to get ready for dinner with the girls to celebrate a sober birthday, an AA meeting and home to bed. . .

Good morning to all!!

I went to Costco yesterday. It was fun I went without Steve and was able to walk all the isles and window shop and dream. He always wants to run in and grab what we need and  get out in under an hour. I got a pair of shorts while at Costco. Picked up the size 12 and thought that looks big wonder if I can wear the 10. Took the size 10  home thought this is never going to fit and to my surprise up and  over the hips it went. Made my day!!

Hi all

Its been a rough week! My best friends dad passed away on Tuesday. another friend passed away  during the night. both from the Denver area. 

Took Carls car in for some repairs a cv boot was leaking so got that repaired. got it home and the transmission blew! I dont know what the repair shop did to it! So we called them and they sent a tow truck over to our house and got our car. I hope ot is just a simple fix!!!! 

Been down with a bad headache but im better now. leaving for North Carolina for about ten days.

Life goes on!

Footnote they should of replaced the axle also! So now the axle has to be replaced!!!!!! The transmission is fine!!!!
