Good morning everyone...

It is a beautiful sunshiny day here today....it feels so good!!

I took Grace to school this morning at her request. Plans have changed and I will be leaving today instead of tomorrow. My daughter Carrie isn't going to be able to do my hair Thursday and I really need it done. It saves me over $100 for her to do it. I also like it so much better when she does it!! I have had a great visit while being here so all is well.

I took Nic and his friend Katie out to lunch yesterday at Nic's favorite Mexican restaurant. They know him well there. They came out and played instruments and sang him Happy Birthday. He just laughed!! He had to wear a HUGE Sombreo too....we laughed so hard!! He got a free desert so he didn't mind! He of course ate his meal and half of mine as always!! He is stopping by soon to load up my car for me and say bye. I will miss them all!!

I plan on leaving here about noon or so. It is only a three hour drive to Carrie's. I will take my time and stop along the way to get out an stretch  like I always do. Lucas, my grandson, has already requested I make him his favorite goulash as soon as I get there. He could eat that everyday!!

Wishing you all a wonderful day!! I will check back in if I can later.

Love and lots of hugs to everyone....connie d

Good morning Connie and all my OFF sistas!

Oh, Connie, you sound so happy!  I'm so glad you were able to get away from your sister's house for awhile.  Are you still trying to move near Carrie?  I hope and pray that works out for you soon.  You need it.  I wonder what is in your goulash?  I make a dish called "chili mac" that I think is similar to goulash.  Love discovering these regional differences, don't you?

I am up and battling my shoulder again.  Actually it started hurting me yesterday, but I didn't post about it.  However it just got worse and worse as the day wore on, and I finally took a couple of Butch's pain pills yesterday evening.  It still hurts this morning and I am on the phone, trying to find a doctor who will see me today.  I've simply got to get this shoulder thing diagnosed and hopefully corrected.  It's affecting my whole life, seems like.

It's damn cold here this morning!  Boo!  In the 40's and record cold for this time of year.  Crazy weather.

Hope you all have a good day.  Thinking about Sandra and Cindy, both recovering from surgeries a few weeks ago, and hoping they are doing well.  Praying for Annette, and for Nan and her Morgan.  Love you all!

Good Morning Connie and OFF Family,

Connie, I'm so glad you had a good visit with the grandchildren.  Safe travels today, dear friend.

I had a fun day shopping with Colleen, Lincoln, and Franklin.  Franklin had a blast riding in one of those rides you put money in with Lincoln.  I took video of them.

Today, I have to go into Lansing to pick up a nasal prescription for this sinus infection.  I also have some laundry to do.

Must scoot.

Hugs,

Trish

Post Script: Got an appointment at 4 p.m. today with a very new doctor!  He's only been in practice since 2012!  However, he's at a very big medical practice in NB and hopefully he's good.  It's very hard to find a doctor accepting new patients here.  I'll let y'all know what the diagnosis is.

Hi Connie and my OFF family:

You sound like you had a great day, Connie. Glad you are able to visit your kids and grand kids. Enjoy the rest of your visit.

I had a rather strange (but nice) afternoon yesterday. Took my boss shopping at Walmart. I had my groceries in the cart, put them out and was paying with them with a card I get from my employer (it's my money and I had checked to see the money was deposited on it). Well, I get up there, and I knew I might be a little short, so it was declined. I tried a different amount; still decined ... I went down to $75 and still declined. At that point, I got out of line and called the customer service number on the back of the card. The rep said the money was indeed deposited on Friday, but then was withdrawn. What? Since it was after 5 p.m., I couldn't call anyone, but I was pissed. I only had $50 on me, so I figured I was going to put a lot of stuff back (my bill was $125). The woman who had been in line behind me passed by me after I got off the phone and asked what I found out, so I told her. She sympathized and said she couldn't give me the whole amount but took out $50 and told me at least that might help. Perfect stranger, didn't know this woman at all. So I got back in line ... at this point, my boss was getting in line, too, and he asked me what was going on and I told him ... and then another guy in line ahead of me asked how much I needed (because I said I would just put some stuff back) ... I said $25. He then pulled out $30 and said keep the change. Wow! I didn't expect that ... two wonderful people bought my groceries for me. My boss said as we were leaving I should get a tin cup and see how much more I could collect. LOL.

After the shopping trip, Richard (my boss) and I went to dinner ... he paid ... had a nice steak, salad and potato, and will fini**** today (got a big steak with the idea I would have food for today, too). We had a nice dinner and chat over food and beer. It was a nice day, but strange. I guess the karma bounces back ... I have been driving Richard around and maybe that's my good karma. Don't know ... I wish I could do something more for someone, but I do what I can. Can't do it with money but I can drive.

Off again today ... will stay in jammies, I think, watch baseball and try to get my Easter stuff put away at last. But it's a gloomy day and a good day to stay home and inside.

Have a good day.
