Well Its Tues
Hi There,
Im goung to try this post again! I am gearing up to getting to driving to North Carolina on Sunday for ten days. My friend had her knee replaced today. She never had surgery before! she did great! She is already standing on the leg with help.
I had to order four tires for my Honda today at Costco. I went to buy them and they didnt have my size! So I might have to take Carl's Car. I put new tires on his car before we went to Michigan last month! That makes eight tires in one month! Makes for one big expensive month!
Our daughter is cooking the baby big time! she is in her 18th week of pregnncy! She was put on Blood pressure medicine for high blood pressure. So I might have to be there to play mama sooner than later! I dont want to be in Chicago for a prolong lenght ofvtime but i might have to be. Time will tell.
well talk on Ill check
Good morning Carla and my OFF sistas!
Carla, you be careful traveling again. I don't know how you do it!
So, yesterday my sweet hubby "graduated" from PT for his knee replacement. Not sure what will happen next. He goes back to the surgeon on May 2nd for another evaluation. I just know I don't want him going back to work! We'll have to see what we can finagle. He also need bunion surgery on his right foot. Maybe that will be next.
Today Benny woke up cranky and screaming and crying and demanding! Ugh. C'mon weekend! We are more than ready to get away for a few days.
We did a little shopping yesterday evening. Bought Benny 2 new pairs of shoes and lots of new socks. (Where do all the socks go???) Chris, ungrateful wretch that she is, pronounced one pair of his new shoes as"cute" and the other pair as "hideous" this morning. Really? No "thank you, Mom"! Some days I need a double dose of Prozac.
I also got a new little dresser for one of the guest bedrooms from Garden Ridge of all places. Had to have a really small, tall one to fit in the corner of that room. Not the best quality furniture there, but the size and the price were right. Also picked up a pair of new lamps for our bedroom. I like them! They're a really odd shade of blue, but they match the really odd shade of blue in my quilt. Go figure! I would never have thought I could find that color in a million years.
Benny is driving his Papaw crazy this morning. Guess I'd better get in there and give him (Papaw) a break. LOL! I'm thinking we might need an extra day or two this weekend!
Love you all!
Vickie....I had to laugh......yesterday shopping.... Gracie picked out two pairs of shoes and socks too!! It must have been shoe and sock day! Jamie loved it all! Chris doesn't know how good she has it!
I hope Butch doesn't go back to work. After all he has a garden to tend to!! Not to mention for your sanity.....you need him!!
Glad you found the matching lamps!
Love you...HUGS....connie d
LOL, Connie! Shoes and socks day, indeed. Seems like I just bought him new shoes a couple of months ago!
I don't think Butch plans to go back to work. At least, he's quit making statements to that effect. I think he is enjoying being home enough that he sees retirement as something to look forward to, rather than dread. But he might feel honor-bound to go back, at least once. Darn it. I'm trying not to worry about it. We have several big things planned for May and June, so I hope we can figure a way to keep him home on short-term disability for another couple of months at least.
And yes, I need him here for my sanity for sure!!!
Good Morning Carla and OFF,
Sounds like you have a lot of travel on your agenda, Carla. Safe travel.
I'm going to the outlets with Colleen later this morning. She needs to get an outfit for Franklin's first birthday party this weekend. His actual birthday is May 3rd. She's having the party Sunday, and Isabel has a dance recital Saturday night. So, my sister is flying in from PA, and Chris and Casey are flying in from New York. Big weekend. I have a ton of cleaning to do.
I better get going. I need to drink my coffee and do my hair.
Hugs,
Trish

Good morning Carla and everyone......
Carla....I worry about you making all those trips by yourself. Please be careful. There are so many weirdo's out there these days. My daughters won't even let me stop at rest areas when I drive alone. I have to go to busy places with lots of people around. 8 tires... WOW...that is a lot of money!! I am happy for you about the new grandbaby on the way!! Grandchildren are the best!!
As for me....like I said Nic's 20th Birthday is today. He will be here to spend the day with me soon. He got bad news this morning as another of his good friends from Montana Cancer Camp passed away last night. Just like that!! These kids just can't make it far into their 20's. He was fine and now he is gone. This has upset Nic needless to say. Nic tries hard to stay positive....some days are harder then others! He is angry at the Cancer. It has taken so many of his friends. God Bless all these children fighting this evil monster!! More prayers for all and Morgan too! I pick Gracie up at school at 3:00....that will liven things up a bit!
Wishing you all a wonderful day. Time to go hug my Nic!!
Prayers for so many in need. Many special prayer requests answered as well.
Love and hugs to all...connie d
Vickie....I am a bit boastful when it come to Nic...but he is an amazing three time cancer survivor. His attitude always keeps him going! He is a wonderful and caring young man. He makes me so proud!! Thank you for the birthday wishes...I passed them on...he said thank you!
I am having so much fun with Grace....I can't stand knowing I will be leaving tomorrow. I will miss her so much!
More love and hugs....connie d
