Monday Morning in Michigan
Good Morning Everyone,
It's after 11:00 am, and nobody has posted yet?
I am heading to Colleen's to watch the boys. She needs to pick up Isabel from school early, and take her to a friend's who is altering Izzy's dance costume. I love watching those two.
I also have to get to the laundromat to do a few big items. No clothes, just curtains, and a couple blankets.
Must scoot.
Hugs,
Trish

Good morning sistas!
Just read Nan's post and my heart is broken. Sigh. Praying for little Morgan and the whole family.
We are in clean up mode today. If you can believe it, I actually have Butch cleaning out his half of our closet! It's been years since we had to share a closet. He's NOT a good closet-mate. Somehow his stuff just keeps encroaching on my half! LOL!
Trish, you sound happy this morning. Grandchildren are the chocolate chips in the cookie of life! And Debbie, I wish I lived close enough that we could take that quilting class together. I've never had a buddy who liked to sew, and I've always wished I did.
I am trying to train the dogs to go potty in one area in the backyard. I bought a thing called a "poo stone" and it's now set up in "poo(h) corner". LOL! Supposedly the scent draws them to that area to do their business. We'll see . . .
Continuing to help Butch with his raised bed gardening. May I just say that he has thoroughly embraced the concept! I doubt there's a landscape timber left within 50 miles! LOL! And we have an entire trailer load of potting soil, compost, peat moss, etc. to unload this morning. These are going to be some of the most EXPENSIVE summer vegetables we've ever had. But, hell, it's only money. If it makes him happy and content to live here, I'm all for it.
One new side benefit to the new 6 ft tall fence.: I now have a place to air dry my blankets! Oh, I am washing all the bedding and letting it dry in the sunshine. Our quilts and blankets smell so GOOD!
Well, duty calls. Lots to do as always. Love you all!
Good morning Trish and everyone....
I am just heartsick over Nan's news. At one time Morgan and Nic were in NY at Sloane at the same time. Nic will be 20 tomorrow. Makes me so sad for Morgan. I want miracles for all these children with cancer!! Things can happen so quickly. Lives are lost. I am sitting here crying. We never know how long these children have. I will never stop praying for more miracles...not ever!!
I am enjoying my time in Iowa. Gracie and I had a great morning and a fun evening yesterday. She is in school now. I will pick her up at 3:15!! No daycare for her after school when Nana is around!!! I have enjoyed myself with Nic, Jamie and Megan too. Nic is coming over soon to pick on me as always!! I am so relaxed and am feeling so much better!!!
Wishing you all a great day!! So many prayers for those in need...definitely special ones as well.
Love and hugs to all....connie d
Hi Trish and my OFF family:
Got up at 11:30 a.m. and am running late. I was on the phone most of the morning, talking to my friend Mary Kay, then canceling my appointment with the weight-loss folks (can't afford their program, will have to do it on my own), then with my auto loan folks to work out arrangements. I live paycheck to paycheck, but I'm managing. It's tough sometimes, but I'm doing OK. Just don't have much left.
So sorry to hear about Nan's Morgan.
Anyway, I need to get in the shower and get ready for work. I need to pick up lunch on the way in. Also need to pay my electric bill so they don't shut me off.
Have a good day.
