Friday Happenings
Good Morning OFF Family,
I am up way early for me. I've been having some bothersome digestive issues latelyy. It has made me quite miserable lately. I have to call my family doc about a referral I should have gotten by now. Argh.
Today, it looks like rain right no Then, I'm making a batch of my chicken parmigian for my Pastor's family. Pastor's wife had gall bladder surgery, and a group of women organized meals for them. My daughter had signed up twice, and I offered to make one.
Gotta scoot.
Love,

Good morning Trish and everyone.....
Trish...sorry you are having digestive problems. I hope you can get in to see someone soon. That must be so miserable. That is so nice of you and Colleen doing some meals for your pastor's family. You are so sweet!!
As for me....only one hour of sleep....lots happening and I just couldn't calm down to sleep. About the time I finally slept the snow plows were here at 5:30 AM. Had to clean off my car and move it as usual. We got about 10 inches of snow and more coming later today. I noticed one of my wiper blades has torn. Guess I better get out sometime today and get new ones. That is about it for me....such an exciting life right now...LOL!!
Wishing you all a wonderful day!!! Prayers for many in need.
Love and hugs to all.....connie d
Good morning Trish and Connie and all my OFF sistas!
Sorry not to post yesterday. We went AWOL for the day. It was good for us. Butch and I just got in the car and left for the day. We had several errands to run, but also we just need to get away from Chris and the baby and the dogs for awhile. Didn't get home until after 7 p.m. last night, and I pretty much went straight to bed after that. I am SUCH an old woman these days. I never stay up past 9 p.m. anymore!
Trish, I hope your doctor can help you feel better soon. Connie, I can't believe you're still dealing with snow plows! And I'm sorry for the lack of sleep, too. I hope you get back to "normal" soon.
It rained here yesterday, so we couldn't get any yardwork done. But yesterday we bought more sod, so guess what I'll be doing today? LOL! Plus I hope to get my little flowerbed put in in the backyard.
I had also scheduled the window cleaners to come yesterday, but had to cancel them because of the rain. They are now coming in May. Sigh. Sometimes I think I will NEVER have clean windows here.
Need to get started back sewing on my new curtains. Maybe next week, if I'm lucky. I have company coming in June and I would surely like to have my curtains made and my inside painting done by then. Not sure it's going to happen, though. I'll have to take quite a bit of time off in May for Carrie's WLS. Oh, well, it will happen like it's going to happen. No point in stressing about it.
Our new fence in the backyard is great, but we sorta feel like we're in prison! LOL! A 6 foot fence is high! But necessary to keep the deer out of the back yard. Still we are country folk used to living in wide open spaces. It's going to take a bit of getting used to.
I'd better get going and make the most of my morning before Chris has to go to work this afternoon. Love you all!
P.S. Got all my sod laid. Still need lots more, but we're taking it in stages. Got maybe about 1/3rd of the backyard covered now. And I just worked 40 lbs of mushroom compost into my new flowerbed. I tell you, Zumba's got nothing on gardening for exercise! I hope it shows up on the scale soon!
Vickie - you would hate the living room windows in my house. The sliding glass doors are always covered with nose prints, either cats or dogs or both. The bay window is horrible. Jerry has started sucking and licking it immediately after I clean his prints. The sucking is new and the noise drives me nuts.
Kisses
Annette
LOL, Annette! Your house sounds just like mine! With 4 dogs and a toddler, there are no clean surfaces anywhere here! The window cleaners are coming to clean the outsides of my windows. We're on a hillside, and I can't reach over half of my windows around the sides and front of the house. Gotta have a pro come and do those. Unfortunately, I'm still the one stuck with trying to keep the insides clean! Fat chance!
Trish, I am a quiet lurker on here.. on an off.
You mention digestive issue.. but didn't you just have iron infusion? When I get infusions - days after I only can mange some liquids or very, very light diet. The abdominal upset - including cramping, pain, acid reflex, and some other issue - maybe some of the side effects after iron infusion. Last year I had a weekly for (4 weeks) iron and typically on day 2 -6 after iron I was in pain and had belly issue.. I had 1 day OK and the next infusion...
Not sure if that helps you ... but the iron that we get in IV, and don't assimilate may get dumped into the small and large intestine. So even that iron may cause issues.
