Hurray for Tuesday!
Good morning my OFF sistas!
Oh, this is a hurray type of day for me! The fence guys are here! At last I will have a place to put all these dogs OUTSIDE for most of the day!
Yard work continues. Yesterday I mowed the grass, something I haven't had to do here before. Have I mentioned that we call this place "Hilltop"? Or that we're on the side of a STEEP hill? OMG! I never mowed a hill before. But Butch obviously can't mow right now, so guess who gets that job? C'mon muscles! You can do it!
I'm still working on getting all the leaves up, but I'm making good progress there. On Thursday, I'll be able to put in my new flower bed in the backyard and I'm looking forward to that. And I can go get more sod on Thursday, too, and get more of the dirt in the backyard covered! I can't begin to keep these floors cleaned with all the dirt people and dogs and boys are tracking in here!
Hope everyone is doing well today and feels good physically. I know some of y'all are still dealing with the nasty cold and wet and snow. I'm so sorry. It got up into the 90s here yesterday and I had to put on sunscreen. We are enjoying being outside, though, and I love to plant, so we're happy about the warmer weather.
Love you all!
Good morning to all.
Vickie, you are so good to be out doing yard work. I refuse because I ALWAYS find snakes. If it won't grow on the deck, Tom can deal with it.
Last week when I visited my M&M's, I work the sneakers I decorated with paint and glitter. Melanie (7 years old) fell in love and asked when she could get a pair. I got a pair of white Keds, spent a week drawing flowers, sparkling patterns, adding glitz and glitter, until they were fancy. She was so excited. Yup, Gram did good. Matthew was not impressed at all. He got a couple of books from me and that made him happy.
Kisses
Annette
Good Morning Vickie and OFF Family,
I'm deeply saddened by the terrorist attack in Boston yesterday. I lived outside of Boston for three years, many years ago. My 35 year old son, Chris, was born in Massachusetts, and I really did not want to move back to Pennsylvania when my husband was discharged from the Army.
Today, I have to go to Rite Aid in Owosso to pick up a vial of B12, to take to my hematologist's office tomorow, to learn how to inject myself. I know how to do the injection. I just don't know how to fill the syringe. Then, I have to go to Target to return a storage bin I purchased that was cracked, plus o buy some more of them. After I get home, I have to go back to the basement to pack more bins to store stuff on the shelves my son-in-law built. He actually measured the bins to custom build the shelves to the size of the bins. He's so thoughtful.
I'm in the process of waiting for phone calls in the meantime. The first call has to do with a doctor's appointment. The second call has to do with the insurance claim because of the sewer flooding my basement.
Must get going.
Hugs and Prayers,
Trish

Good morning Vickie and everyone.....
Vickie....mowing up hill....wow you are strong!! I envy you the being outside in the sunshine. I can't wait for it to get here!! We have more snow forecasted for later this week...OH YAY! Enjoy doing your flower beds!
Annette....we love all our grandchildren... but...it sure is fun with the little girls.... Glitz and Glamour! I do the same for my little Gracie as I did with Kyleigh and Amanda when they we young. She is growing up so I need to do it now! I can't believe she will be 7 in November!
Tri**** sure was a sad day yesterday in Boston. I watched it for hours. How horrible and cruel! I have friends there and was glad they were all okay!
I have a appointment soon at the Pain Clinic. I am praying for some relief soon! I need to run for now and get dressed and on my way. I will check in again later.
Wishing you all a beautiful day! Prayers for those in need and some special requests as well.
Love and hugs to all....connie d
Hi Vickie and my OFF family:
I don't do yardwork ... have no yard! I will get the Easter stuff put away today, though.
I had an appointment this morning with the local bariatric center/weight management center run by the hospital. Have to get my weight back off. I'm not going to keep going up. I signed up for their program, plus I called the bariatric folks there and had my records sent over from Michigan. Time to do something for me. I start next week.
Not much else going on. Slept well last night, snuggled up with Juliette, who had a good vacation with my boss. It took her a while to remember me. She purred all night once she did. She didn't want to leave at first, though.
Well, that's all for me. Have a good day.
Hi Girls!
Another day of Jury Duty but only a half day tomorrow. Must spend the afternoon at the Board of Education to get test scores on the computer so meetings can be scheduled. Friday is "Date Day", not sure what Harvey has planned but I'm sure we will have fun. Then Friday night is out regular 3rd Friday Gaming night!!
I had some major food issues today eating lunch at the mall almost did me in. Now I have no calories for dinner. I didn't think the slice of pizza would have 710 calories but that is what the nutrition comes up as on my fitness pal. I'm really angry with not checking it before I went but it's too late now. Not sure what to do for dinner now...
Vickie - we got our yard fenced a couple years ago and I'm so happy we did. Alhough my Molly seems to ind a way out one way or another. Have fun!
Annette - Little girls are so much fun! I have 2 nieces that are 3 and 7 and they keep me hopping wanting to get into all my craft supplies to make things. Have a ball!
Trish - Sounds like you are really a busy girl! Envious of new shelving and bins! Would love to get my basement organized and sorted out.
Eileen - Glad you are seeking local support and hope everthing works out and you start on the losing side again. I am just beginning my journey and I get so upset when the scales go up and down 2 to 3 pounds every day....chin up! It will happen for you I'm sure!
Karen....I have learned to only eat the topping on the pizza and always have some fruit or something with it. Pizza sure is good!!
It really does help if you only weigh yourself once a week. I always picked Mondays as that kept me better in line on the weekends..LOL. Our weight goes up and down daily depending on what we ate, drank, and exercised the day before.
I look forward to hearing about your "date day"!!! I am sure it will be wonderful no matter what it is. Enjoy!!
Love and hugs....connie d
Evening OFF family...getting off and on storms here so need to be fast...got my cell phone bill today and omg I almost went over my free minutes!!! WOW!!! Never thought I would go over 700 minutes but when someone is sick you talk on the phone when you can't be there and if they put you on "hold" to wait for the nurse you wait...sighs........glad those days are now over!!!
Got my laundry done tonight after work...wooohooo!!!!! Tomorrow I was invited to go along with the guys to another complex to see what my boss has to go through...haha. I know she is going to put me to work also!!! But it gets me away from here for the day!!! Did I mention we lost another tenant sunday afternoon? Yeah he passed away. They will probably blame me also for his death. He is the one that I made move his golf cart out of the patio area because it was gas...that night he had a heart attack...well he had surgery and he didnt make it afterwards. So now I am the bad one here I guess. Oh well. One less knife in my back from this man. I know darn well he has money hid someplace like others have been telling me and he has denied it right to my face yet he can pay in cash $6,000.00 for a brand new golf cart!!! Yells at me his rent is way to much $295.00!!! Please!!! Oh well he is now gone and he has met his maker.
Had some people come look at apartments today. Could not rent to them. There were 3 of them. I only have one bedroom here to rent. Allowed 2 people in one bedroom. Little boy thought it was his fault...his grandma is in a wheelchair and his mom would share the bedroom and he could sleep on couch. Sorry can 't do that. He was so sad and near tears. Its the law here. If I could do that I would...but I can't. Wish I had bigger places but I don't. Such nice people also.
Well best get going before this next storm hits...Thoughts and Prayers for ALL that need them!!!!
