Good Morning OFF Ladies!!

I guess I'm up first this morning.  Lots to do today and still don't feel much like doing anything.  I managed to fill two more boxes for charity yesterday and am going to have hubby take what I have packed up in today to get it out of the middle of my living room floor...

Got an e mail from the specialist I was called about helping to test next week to find he has 13 elementary children that need testing.  Most will take 2-3 hours to complete. I guess I will have my work cut out for me the next few weeks.

Going to try and squeeze a trip to Dallasin sometime before the end of the month to see my Aunt.  Haven't been down there for a while so I NEED to go.

Meeting friends this afternoon to board game so that will be fun. And I got my calligraphy job about a third of the way finished yesterday!  Yeah me!  Spoke to the client and he is thrilled he will have it sooner than expected!  Always eager to please!

Well, I hope everyone has a happy productive day.  I'll check in later to see...

Hugs to all, Karen

Karen, I think the work you do with kids is wonderful.  Our son is a youth pastor.  Once a month, they have a board game night for the youth group.  When he was growing up, his favorite was a game called Axis and Allies.  He and a friend of his would stay up into the wee hours playing.  He loved the strategy part of the game.  I think the youth group plays the game also.  Anyway, I always have admired his ability to play.  My attention span is so short -- I'm just not intrigued by games -- but I wish I was.  I think playing is great for the intellect.

It's early here and I'm thinking maybe I should make a trip to the grocery store as soon as they open (7 a.m.).  Need fruit and bread (well, and probably just a few other things).enlightened

Hope everyone has a good day.

Cindy, our church has a group that meets once a month to play board games but it is the men!  They have some of the most sophisticated games I've ever seen.  I go sometimes if I feel like staying up until 2 or 3 in the morning, lol.  My husband love it, he teaches a game at the local game store on tuesdays before he goes to work, games with a group on thursday nights, WE play Dungeons and Dragons every other saturday with a group and then there is the once a month group.  Whew I guess we get our game on!!!  Some of the games with LOTS of pieces make me nervous and I don't like to play them, but usually he tries to pick something out that he thinks has a chance of peaking my interest.  I just have so many things I enjoy doing it takes something really cool to hold my attention!

Thanks for mentioning, I have to go to the store as well... out of a few things!  Yikes!

Have a great day

Karen

Morning OFF family...I also need to get to the store but we have to wait for the mail to get here...GRRR why waste gas going to the store when we also have to go to the bank as well?? IF the mail comes early enough that is!!! Well one check is for the tractor we are getting and that is made out to LOWES but we already have the petty cash checks but we are going to LOWES so we need the check to pay for the tractor so they will deliver it. They are 12 miles or so away so why make two trips? Besides we are way to busy right now to do that. I also need to get to the store for things we need also. Bread, milk water, few odds and ends for the part wednesday also. Wish my head would work right so I could think straight!! It IS getting better though!!! LOL

Well the tenant that was so mad at me for making him move his golf cart out of his patio area and park it in the parking lot was taken away last night by the squad. Guess it was a good thing his golf cart was not parked in his patio or they would not have been able to get him out fast enough!! They sure took him away fast. Not sure if it was his heart or his sugar that was the trouble. You can bet I won't get an apology for all the nasty things he said about me on making him move that cart...

Well best get myself cleaned up and dishes done and all that goes with getting ready for the day ahead. Maybe I can get a list ready for things I need...lol I will more than likely forget the list when we leave....LOL

Mom is doing so much better...no word yet on when she can come home. Joe (brother) should be home today so hope I will know more soon. Thanks again for all the thoughts and prayers!!!

Thoughts and Prayers for ALL that need them!!!

good morning Karen and Cindy and all my Sweet Friends,

I love to play board games.  Mom's favorite is Scrabble.  I'm just learning to play Ticket to Ride.  Since I learned there's an iPad App for it, I want an iPad.  My granddaugter is learning Monopoly.

I have some errands to run, and an AA meeting to get to this morning.  After lunch, I'm going to Colleen's to do laundry.  I also have some shopping to do.  I need a new set of sheets.  I meant to buy a set after the move, but forgot.  I have my flannel sheets on now, and my regular sheets have a hole in them.  I don't know where my other set is, buried in the basement somewhere.  I didn't like them as much.  They weren't as comfortable as the ones that I wore out.  I bought them in 2002, and they lasted 11 years.  They were a high count thread.

Must get going.

Hugs,

Trish

Good morning Karen and everyone....

Karen....it sounds like the board games you play and I play are totally different. I have never been really interested in them. I always played with my daughters and grandchildren. I even played with friends. We played much easier games then you play. More just for fun. I am glad you enjoy your games equally as well!!

I don't have time now to reply to everyone. I have to shower and get to my tax appointment.

Wishing you all a great day!! Prayers for those in need and special requests as well.

Love and hugs to all...connie d

Morning all!

My family loves board and card games...me not so much. Nothing seems to hold my attention.

Been waiting for Steve's check since last week, I've scraped the pantry for our last meal so I'm praying for his check to show up today. Lot of back pain today probably just take it easy. Have already taken 1 1/2 pain pills. Nap in my near future.

Have a great day, thoughts and prayers for all,

Debbie

Hi Karen and my OFF family:

Didn't sleep all that well last night again ... had a bunch of leg cramps and not sure why. I have cut back on my neurontin because I seem to be getting a little loopy during the day (losing focus, etc.). I cut it down to 600mg instead of 900. Don't know if that's the problem or not. Took a long time to get rid of the calf cramps. Took another vicodin and watched TV awhile and then got to sleep.

I just put in a pan of "Better Baked Ziti" from Mr. Food's website. I made this before, but now I've tweaked it ... more cheese and sauce and added Italian sausage. My brother made it for our Christmas gathering and it was so good I decided I had a taste for it again. I kept meaning to make it but forgot certain ingredients.

Three more days and I'm on vacation. I'm tired ... well, I haven't been sleeping well, so that is probably why.

Anyway, I got to get in the shower. Baked ziti's in the oven. Have a good day.

Hi all!  I am HOME!  Thank you, Jesus! 800 miles in 3 days is too much for this old gal.  It's only 7:30 p.m. and I am ready for bed.  I told Butch I don't want to even move an inch tomorrow!  I may just spend the whole day in bed.

Write more tomorrow.  Just wanted to check in and read the posts.

Love you all!
