Hello! Hello!

It's a beautiful sunny day here, suppose to get to 72 degrees today...I love being able to open up the house this time of the year.

Connie, you must be so happy to be able to get out of the house and be with your daughter.  I'm sure excited for you! And I know you'll have a great time.

Carla, hoping your daughter gets the condo!

Vickie, God Bless your mom. What a fun time you two will have together. I miss my mom, lost her 25 years ago, she was only 67. But I know she's around I can always feel her near.

Karen, sounds like everything is moving along very smoothly. you'll be so happy that the 2 of you did this. Love to see the shoes!

Jo, Hope you have a great day at the movies.

Hope we hear from Judy soon about her mom. I pray everything is ok.

Hope you all have a great day, thoughts and prayers for all,

Debbie

Hello Everyone from Ottawa, Canada

Just popping in to thank you for posting, I try to read every second or third day.

Today my cleaner has just arrived, he is the building cleaner making a few extra bucks and does my apt once a month. Not as good as a cleaning lady as he doesn't do the dusting, nor inside of fridge etc, but does a decent job on the bathrooms, kitchen, and vacs and washes the floors, he also washes windows and cleans my balconies and wipes down the patio furniture in summer. Plus he also shampoos my rugs and uses the building's industrial cleaning supplies, cloths, paper towels and equipment like the turbo vac with a 50 ft cord, means I save on buying cleaning supplies, and my vac and mops are decorations taking up space in closets.

Have just combined some left over chili con carne with bits of chicken I pried off the carcass of a half eaten rotisserie chicken, threw in some baby spinach and covered the lot with slices oh 25% less fat Havarti, and nuked.....stirred up and it looks like dogfood , but is quite tasty and gave me enough for 2 meals of dense protein with some green in there, all tied together by the chili and cheese....Interesting, but won't serve this mash to friends!

Wont get much done while the cleaner is here, just glad I have him as a nice guy and honest although not "Mom's brightest" if you get my drift...he needs some supervision likewhen he cleans the building, the super is on him all the time....i've had to show him how to clean some things the way my mother taught me. I miss the cleaning lady I had before, she even polished my inherited silver bits and pieces in the display cupboard without me asking. She had more initiative and if she saw something dirty, she'd clean it, I have to ask the baseboards get done or the window sills wiped, or patio door tracks wiped....And he's only $20 bucks cheaper and gets out after 2.5 hours whereas she was here for 4 hours. But she used my vac and cleaning products which he doesn't. He also cleans my car and details it twice a year, the guy loves cleaning cars! Some other residents have asked him to do their cars seeing him wax and polish mine, so he gets extra jobs out of it....that makes me feel good knowing he is getting more work....

Well, that's me just nattering...it's sunny but cold here and although everything is still white with snow, we are going above freezing for the next few days so it will evaporate a bit...I hope we are headed for Spring as I am sick of the cold ....

Everyone have a better day than yesterday!

Jennifer...sounds like you got quite a deal going with that cleaner. You are definitely saving money!! He does a lot in 2.5 hours!!

I am always throwing things together too. It doesn't always look good but it sure tastes great!!

Well he only does the basics in my apt once a month, the window washing (Windex) and the balconies and my car are all lextras and not in the 2.5 hrs he does bathrooms and kitchen and vac and floor washing.... Like I said I really miss my former cleaning lady who stayed 4 hours just doing the inside of my app and I hired him , the bldg cleaner, to do the windows, balconies and my car as extras. He's not as cheap as my cleaning lady was! But he's a nice guy so for now he is it and I do the extras when I have the energy. I have Sjogren's and Fibromyalgia so don't always have the energy!

They definitely are a STATEMENT...haven't seen anything like them before, and yes they do look fun including the socks....is everything glow-in-the-dark? I once had 2 pairs , one pink and another in lime green, socks which glowed in the dark.....I was about 8 and so proud of them. You Go Girl.
