the signature is not exactly what I wanted it to say. I wanted it to show the regain, but guess I will have to work on that. I weighed this morning and I am up a couple of pounds. I guess it is the pizza I had yesterday. Life is not fair. People eat pizza all the time and do not gain. I walked two miles and went to Silver Sneaker class. You would think with that much exercise, I could eat pizza and not gain. Oh well, back to being FOCUSED

Good morning Ruby and everyone.....
Ruby.....my weight gain is awful right now....I look pregnant. I need to make changes and getting off this darn Prednisone will help!! I just feel so bloated and miserable right now. Doing way to much munching and not any exercise is not a good thing!! Your weight gain is probably from all the salt in the pizza. I bet by tomorrow it is gone. Keep doing your exercise. I am proud of you!
Well the worst of the blizzard missed us...YAY!! I didn't have to clean off my car and move it during the night!! The sun is shining brightly right now. However, we are supposed to get more snow today and tomorrow....I hope they are lying!
My friend Julie is an author. She has written three books so far. They are awesome.They are written about true events in her life. The first one was harder to read as it was a lot about the abuse and happenings in her life. She and her 2nd husband and a lot of paranormal activity in their lives....even before they met. It actually brought them together long before they actually met. It is way exciting to read!! I am reading book three today. I can't but her books down once I start reading them. They keep you wanting to read more!!

Good Morning Ruby and OFF-
I feel like I'm on a whirlwind and can't get off. I think when I last posted I was waiting for my bloodtests to come back before I decided whether I was going to stay here in Texas and have a hysterectomy. Well, good news is CA 125 (ovarian cancer) was negative. Menopause test was positive, so....I'll be staying for a hysterectomy. Then last Thursday I developed a tooth ache. Immediately got myself to the dentist who started me on antibiotics. After a weekend on antibiotics the pain wasn't getting better so yesterday I took myself to the endodontist. They tried to do a root canal yesterday but no luck the root is cracked. Sooooo tomorrow I get to have the tooth pulled. Oh joy!
The surgeon called last night but I was in water fitness so I missed the call. So hopefully she and I will connect today for a discussion about my hysterectomy. Had to call the gyn in Maine and beg yesterday for them to send my records to the doctor here. The woman I talked to on the phone was like" well there's so much to copy"....GRR!
Otherwise things are fine. I washed the outside of the RV on Sunday. Thank god for waterfit! The upper body strength I've built up helped me get through the job without pain. The last time I washed the RV I had to sit and rest every 10 minutes or so. So it was another example of the benefits of the weightloss surgery.
Well that's all for today. I have to get ready for yoga and then "work". Positive thoughts to everyone in need. Have a great day ladies!

Jo, I hate to tell you this, but we hit 94 degrees yesterday! The weather these days is just crazy! I'm supposed to be able to open up the house and live without AC or heat for several weeks in the spring. I call it my annual pay raise from the electric company. Looks like I might not get that pay raise this year!
Ruby, I never could get my signature to do anything I wanted either. Guess we're not tech savvy enough, sista!
Cindi, I'm glad the cancer screening came back negative! Answered prayer! Sorry for the hysterectomy, but it sounds like the wisest course of action to me. And boo, hiss! on the broken tooth! Ugh. But I've had 4 teeth pulled and 2 root canals. I've got to tell you, I would take the tooth pulling over the root canal any day. Nothing to it. They numb you up and in a couple of minutes, it's all over!
Butch had a rough day yesterday and hasn't started out so well today either. Lots of requests for pain pills the last 24 hours. I think the PT yesterday was pretty hard on him. On the other hand, he's standing and walking so well! Sometimes he even takes small "journeys" without the walker! I tell him to be patient with his body's ache and pains. He did undergo major surgery. He's bound to feel some side effects from that. Silly man. He thinks he should be all better now that one week has passed.
So I think I told you all that my oldest daughter has decided that she wants to have WLS. Yesterday I called and checked with her insurance (BCBS) just to be sure they won't pay for WLS for her here in the US. Nope. I didn't really expect them to. Yes, she has insurance, but as a grad student, I expected it to be a really bare bones type of coverage, which it is. So, we're pursuing the idea of going to Carolyn's surgeon in Mexico, Dr. Ortiz. Now she has to decide if she wants RNY, Gastric Sleeve, or DS. Any input or suggestions?
If things go as planned, she and I will fly to San Diego in mid-May and spend about 4 days at the clinic in Tiajuana for her surgery.
I did get out of the house for a little while yesterday, which helped my mental attitude tremendously! But I spent so long at Sam's that I didn't have time to go to Tuesday Morning. I went a little crazy at Sam's. They had all their gardening and summer sports stuff out, as well as spring clothes! Plus Easter things. I just wandered the aisles and browsed to my heart's content! I bought myself a new pair of bermuda shorts, a pair of capris, and 4 new tops. It is SO NICE to be able to walk up to table of clothes and KNOW that you can wear normal sizes! I wear a size 16 bottom and a size L top. I am well pleased with my new body.
(Lest you all think I am totally selfish, I also bought Butch a new pair of cargo shorts and a couple of new tees.)
So, my goal for the week (besides doing Butch's PT and helping him shower and walk and fetch and carry . . . !) is to maybe get started on my new curtains. I am dying to get my hands on that new material! Debbie A., what kind of sewing machine are you getting? I love to sew. I am sorely missing my new sewing table and cutting table that Butch built for me a couple of years ago, but there's no room for them here at the lakehouse.
Well, my boys are restless. Sounds like they need breakfast. My newest breakfast craze is shredded mini-wheats with blueberries or strawberries. I am hooked on it!

Sorry Butch is having so much pain. I agree with Eileen.The pain from PT is good. Keep giving him those pain meds. That should pain will improve soon!! Men are so impatient!!!
I am happy that Carrie is going through with the WLS. I wish her the best!! I will be keeping her in my prayers! Tell her to quit smoking now....she will heal faster and that is required anyway for that reason.
It sounds like you had fun at Sam's....sorry you missed Tuesday's!!
