Almost Friday!
Good Thursday Morning Ladies!
I'm up ad at'em this morning working at one of the local elementary schools doing achievement testing today. They contracted me a couple weeks ago and I like the one on one with the kids. Sometimes I miss my classroom and working with the kids but not enough to want to sub full time or go back. So his is a happy medium. I an set my own schedule and go at my own pace.
The appointment yesterday with the surgeon went very well and I think we are on our way! We BOTH have endoscopies tomorrow. One of my friends is going to take us thank goodness. Still feeling very anxious about it all but I can't let the nerves get the best of me.
Wishing you all a great day!
Karen
Hi Karen,
Looks like we started the thread at the same time. I hear you about the anxiety about the surgery. I confess, my only anxiety was fear that I wouldn't be approved for it. Once approved, I had perfect peace from God. My approval took six weeks from consult to getting a surgery date. This was before insurance companies started requiring a supervised diet program first.
Just take it one day at a time, and do everything required of you by the doctors, step by step.
Hugs,
Trish

Good morning Karen and everyone......
Karen....it is so nice to see a picture of you. Now we know who we are talking with. Have a great day at school. It sounds like this is something you really enjoy. Happy to hear your appointments went well yesterday. One more hurdle out of the way!!
I only have a few minutes to post. I need to get in the shower and get ready for the funeral. It is about an hour and a half drive. Hope I can handle it all!!
Wishing everyone a good day!! Sending up prayers for many in need.
Love and hugs to all....connie d
Hi Karen and my OFF family:
Good to see two threads this morning again ... an active board! It's my weekend. I'm getting ready to go out shopping with my boss, who doesn't have a car since his girlfriend left him and took everything. So I've been his transportation (he has taken a cab, but it's expensive and I've told him I'm happy to drive him). He gives me gas money and buys me a meal, so it's all good. And it's a little "pay it forward" for me ... people have been good to me over the years ... it's my little way of giving back.
My mom's arm isn't getting better. The doc said it didn't heal well, but won't do surgery because of her age. He gave her a soft cast and some more exercises. Problem is, she won't do them properly. We (the kids) are going to have to talk about how to pay for the 24/7 caretaker. It's either that or a nursing home, and my brothers think she's better off at home. Don't know which is cheaper.
Anyway, I need to get dressed and out the door. Have a good day.
Eileen....I am so sorry to hear about your mom. I think you are right about getting her around the clock help...or a nursing home. She just can't be left alone anymore. It sounds like she is giving up!!
I am still keeping her in my prayers...you too!!!
I am glad your boss is so appreciative of all you do to help him. You are a good person and always willing to help others!!
Love to you and hugs too...connie d
