Good Morning Everyone,

I'm heading out in a few.  Colleen is taking Franklin for his nine month old portraits, even though he's already ten months old.  I love watching these photographers because they let the baby just be himself, and shoot away.  Then, the parents sit at the computer, and pic out what they want.

The rest of the day will be unpacking.

Hugs,

Trish

Morning Trish and all my OFF sistas!

Well, you know what they say about best laid plans.  So much for my "date" today.  Woke up this morning to the sound of Christie throwing up.  Great.  Says she has food poisoning.  God, I hope that's all it is.  Please Lord don't let it be morning sickness!  (LOL--sort of!)

Anyway, I had to get Benny off to pre-school and I'll have to be here to pick him up at 2 p.m., so there's really not enough time to go into SA today.  Guess I'll just go to the bank and the grocery store instead.  Sigh.

Trish, Benny had pictures made at school on Monday and we got the proofs back this morning.  Oh, so cute!  Don't cha just love these babies?!

Worked really hard on putting the living room back together yesterday.  Oh my Lord--the dust is everywhere and I'll never get it all gone again.  The guys are here finishing up the trim work today.  I hope this is the end of it.

Well, need to get moving.  Check on Christie and make sure she's still among the living.  Then head out for the store.  Love you all!

Good morning Trish and everyone....

Trish...baby pics are the best especially when they are grandbabies!!!

Vickie....sorry you can't do what you planned today. Sorry Chris is sick. I hope it is food poisoning and not the FLU!!! All you need is another FLU going around!! Good luck with tackling all that dust...yuck! I too will be glad when they are done for your sake. How are you and Butch feeling?

I am still in pain today but better then yesterday. I had an appointment with my therapist today but had to cancel. I rescheduled for later in the month. After cleaning and moving my car 6 times in 15 hours I have sore muscles I didn't know I had!! The snow has stopped and I pray it doesn't come back until next winter!! We have more then enough now!! I have nothing planned for today accept a long hot shower and relaxing with heat and ice.

Wishing you all wonderful day.  Prayers for those in need..some special too!

Love and hugs to all....connie d

Hi Trish and my OFF family:

I was miserable yesterday ... felt like I was going to throw up. Finally went home early from work. I was in pain and nauseous and had a headache (there was something burning in the kitchen near our work area ... the smell was getting to me through the night). I wasn't overly busy after we had 209 inches of obits that ate up all the space. That was all I really had to do, fill up the obit the pages with what the freelancers did. So when I was done with that, I asked to leave early. Came home, had some peppermint tea, took a pain pill, put the icepacks on the knees and got my legs up. And I was also shivering. So eventually, I went to bed and got under the covers. Eventually, I warmed up and my drugs helped the pain. I got some sleep and feel better today. Don't know what was going on.

Vickie, hope Christie is OK and it's just the 24-hour bug or food poisoning. Too bad you won't get your date.

I have three days off; no big plans. Going to the chiro today, then maybe out to lunch. It's gloomy again and chilly, but no snow. We really didn't have enough snow to stick. Just a lot of flurries. Glad we didn't have any snow here. Hope everyone else is OK in the snow belt (Connie, etc.). I know my brother had to drive home from his new job in that mess. But I also know he is happy to have a job and not complaining too much.

Anyway, have a good day. Not much else happening here.

Good evening Ladies,

Didn't have a very good night and the day didn't start very well either.  I have 4 pills to take and the crushing them up and putting in a small amount of my liquid protein for several caps fulls is not making my tummy very happy. Actually it is the bitter taste that hits my mouth as soon as I take a sip...needless to say I really had a hard time getting it down and keeping it there.

I haven't worn makeup in years except for my eyes so we went to Merle Norman today and had a beauty makeover for me which zapped my energy.  The rest of the day was uneventful except for sipping, sipping, and sipping and 15 minutes of walking this evening.  Definitely will not be ready for work after just a week.  Thankfully I took off until at least March 18th with more time if needed with the information y'all had given me.

Yes, pictures of grandkids are wonderful as they are themselves.  Vicki, I'm sorry about your daughter being ill and no date night as well as all the cleaning and you just now getting back to feeling somewhat better.  Connie take care as that had to be rough all the snowing removing and moving the car yikes.  The hot shower sounds wonderful.  We don't get much snow in our part of Texas.  Eileen have a wonderful 3 days off and be good to yourself during that time.  Carla, I also know all to well about having to give Mama's two cents worth LOL!!

Blessings,

Mikka

Hi Mikka,

I remember being wiped out most of the time, the first few weeks post-op.  Try to take it easy.  Also, when I was first post-op, I took several mini-walks each day, instead of one really long walk.  Plus, I would build up my endurance each day with my walks.

I also was told to sip 64 ounces of water, or noncaffeinated beverages a day, from my day of discharge.  You may just be thirsty, which would also cause dry mouth.

Hugs,

Trish
