Good morning OFF sistas!

Well, I didn't plan to start us off again, but I only have a minute on the computer this morning, so here goes . . . !

The good news today is Butch was given the all clear for his surgery, and we got it scheduled for Tuesday, Mar 12th.  We are both nervous and happy at the same time.  He cannot continue to go on with his knee the way it is, so we know we are doing the right thing.  At the same time, we both dread the actual surgery and recovery period he'll have to go through.  If we can just get it behind us, I'm sure we'll be glad in the end.

My house is complete chaos at this point!  We are trying to figure out where the hell we can go with the baby today, just to get out of here and let them do their thing.  My bedroom is the last one to have carpet in it, and they will tackle it today, so I know we can't hole up in here again.  They laid the floor in the living room (oh it looks fantastic!), but they still have to go in and install the shoe mold and then clean it up, etc.  So we can't hang out in there.  Benny is never going to understand all of this.  Better for us to just leave for the day.

Anyway, before they get here this morning, I have to unplug my computer because they'll be moving my desk all around, so I hated to be the one to start us off this morning, but so be it.  They'll be here in an hour, so I'd better get a move on.

Love you all!

Good morning Vickie and everyone....

Vickie.....I  hope you can find plenty to do with little Benny today. It is hard at his age to keep him entertained for too long. I know you will be glad when the flooring is completed and Butch's surgery is behind you.

I am just waiting for my daughter, Carrie to get here. She is on her way now. I can't wait to hug her and hold her tight!! She is so excited about coming here too!! Carrie is the one I will be living by when I move. I see a light at the end of this long tunnel!!!

Wishing you all a wonderful day! Prayers for those in need, and some special ones too.

Love and many hugs to all....connie d

Hi Vickie and OFF Family,

Vickie, my daughter takes the kids to some indoor play places here.  One is a bounce place, with a variety of those inflated bounce things indoors.  The kids played for hours there in October.  Then, yesterday, she took them to a place that has play stations, kind of like a giant playroom.  Not sure if that's something you might find in your area.

Today, I am exhausted for some reason.  I did a lot of cleaning yesterday, and I wonder if that's why.  Today, I need to go into Lansing and do some shopping, and make an AA meeting.  Right now, I feel like going back to bed.  I haven't been this tired in a long time.

I hope everyone has a blessed day.

Hugs and love,

Trish

Good Morning OFF Family,

Vickie, take Benny to Landa Park in NB.  Lots of new swings, slides, etc.  He'll love it.  So glad Butch has his surgery scheduled.  Scheduled mine today for April 15. It will be a long road to recovery but we both will be glad we did it.  Keep us posted.

Connie, so glad Carrie is on her way. Enjoy!!! Hope the moved near her is soon for you both.

Trish, sounds like you need a little rest today, but you sound so happy now!

Nothing going on here today.  I need to get my baby shower gift wrapped for tomorrow.  My brother (63) is welcoming his first grandchild in April. He's waited a long time this little one.  What a spoiled little boy he's going to be. His great aunt (me) will have some fun spoiling him too!

Hugs and prayers, Sandra

Afternoon OFF family...wow been busy last couple days moving past tenants back in here!!! Good though!!!  One on each side...woohooo!!!! Off to a good start for spring!!! Now IF it keeps up!!!! LOL

Still in shock over buying that car...I do like it but WHY?????

Rick wants to take a ride to his aunt and uncles in Akron this weekend...not sure how the weather will be. I am not up to a trip yet. My wrist is killing me for one thing and I just want to stay home. But he wants to get out of dodge so we will go IF its nice enough.

Had police here last night for one of the tenants son that is NOT supposed to be here. (He just got out of prison and is a felon. Being a goverment funded place he is not welcome here and she was told to get him out of here). Anyhow I guess he was stopped or something and police were here to talk to his mother about him. Not sure exactly what but I told the officer he wasn't supposed to be here and she knows it. OK.

Well best get eating my lunch and back to office seeing its the first of the month and rents are coming in fast...

Thoughts and Prayers for ALL that need them!!! Especially Vic and Butch right now...Connie also!!!

Good Morning,

Vickie, I am so glad your husband got the green light for his knee surgery.  I have not been through replacement myself, however, I was my FIL's personal coach when he had double replacements at 77. It does seem like a long road at first, it is worth it though. The more he can do the exercises afterward, the better it will be for him. We took it a little at a time with the walking ( few steps, few feet, hundred yards, a block and so on). Best wishes to both of you for a successful surgery.

Hi Vickie and my OFF family:

Good to hear Butch is scheduled for surgery. Tell him to start doing exercises now to strengthen his knee; that's what the hospital here had me do to get ready for surgery. I didn't do it as religiously as I should have, but I did do some of them. It does make a difference. My left knee is progressing, although there is still some pain (I really think this is from my fibro, because it's in soft tissue areas, and there is a study that says fibromyalgics don't do well on joint replacements). My right knee still isn't good.

Juliette is sitting by the sink, looking out the window at the birds in the yard. It's one of her favorite things to do.

Not much else going on here. Back to work tonight. Last night wasn't too bad.

Have a good day.
