Tomorrow is the day!!
Hello to all my new wonderful sisters! It is truly wonderful to me to have such a great group of ladies. I lost my sister when I was 6 years old and she was 3. It was tough as she had luekemia and back in the 60s wasn't much they could do back then. The rough part was that my mom and I was at the hospital and the doctor came and said she was well enough to go home. She left to get dad and I got to stay and wait with her. While laying in the hospital bed with her head on my shoulder she fell asleep never to wake again. I was pretty messed up for years after that. Oh well who knows why I got off on that.
I'm excited, nervous, and a bit afraid this evening but still know this is the best thing for me and my health. My mom is taking me tomorrow and we will be at St Paul's Hospital at 10:30 with surgery to start (I hope on time) at 12:30. I was told that it would take approximately 4 hours and then recovery. Hopefully I will be in a room by 7 pm.
I have done great on the liquid diet today but a tad hungry tonight. I think I will grab a book as I figure that sleep will elude me. I usually don't sleep but about 4 hours a night any way and then I am up and going.
I hope that everyone is doing well... know that y'all are in my prayers and thoughts!!
Hugs,
Mikka
