Good morning everyone....

I went to bed last night at 7:00 PM..woke up at 2:30 AM. I was exhausted!! I think everything caught up with me.

I don't plan on doing much at all today. I need to catch up on my sleep. I haven't slept good in quite a while. I am glad the results of my test came back good. The doctor did say the prolonged illness was caused by something environmental here in the house. We all know what that is. Hoping she can now keep her bathroom clean after my friend cleaned it. My sister needs to get her room cleaned out and get some fresh air in there as well. I can't and will not do it!!

Hope everyone is doing well I am worried about how sick Vickie is. I pray she feels better soon.

Wishing you all a beautiful day!! Prayers for many in need.

Love and hugs to all....connie d

Good morning Connie and all my OFF sistas!

I'm up and maybe a bit better this morning.  I don't think I need to go to a hotel today to rest.  Had a horrible night.  My thighs hurt, my hips hurt, my head hurt, my face hurt--hell, even my teeth hurt!  I couldn't just lay there, so I sat up til about 2 a.m. and then things kinda got better.  I was able to lie down and sleep a little, til about 6 a.m.  I'm still hacking and coughing and honking--yuck--but I'm not dizzy anymore.  I'm gonna live, I think.

Got that crew coming in another hour and a half, so I'm going to make a run through the house and try to pick things up.  I asked Chris to do it last night, but she didn't do much.  (Sound familiar, Connie?)  She did make me soup and crackers for supper.  She's the oddest combination of caring and selfishness.

Butch isn't feeling too chipper today either, but he says he's not as sick as I am.  Hmph.  I don't know.  He sounds pretty bad to me.  But he's also a lot tougher than me.  He has to work on the rig whether he's well or he's sick, so he's used to pushing through.  I wish we both could just spend the day in bed!  Thank God Benny goes to school today.

Oh, my friend who had the preemie baby posted a picture on FB yesterday of Baby Harper wearing the little pink cap I made her.  I'm tagged in the photo if you want to see.  Such a tiny little baby!

Well, I'd best shake a leg.  Thanks for all the caring wishes and prayers.  It's helping.

Love you all!

Vickie, Butch sounds like my dad. He got home from hip replacement and was out on the porch, painting it, the next day. Stubborn old man! My mom had my brothers come at 8 a.m. so they could paint the porch, but my dad got up at 7 and was out there with his newly replaced hip. Don't know how he did it. I couldn't do it  with the replaced knee.

Debbie....sorry to hear you got pink eye...it must be going around as Vickie and her family just had it too. Get as much rest as you can. Your body is trying to tell you that. I am a fine one to offer that advice...LOL!!

Good morning all

Connie, is there any way to get a home health care aide in to help your sister a couple of hours a day? Maybe through office of the aging or another human services agency? Let your fingers do the walking and make a few phone calls. Your own doctor might help too.

I have a huge pot of sauce simmering on the stove and it smells heavenly. there is enough to freeze a few containers for future meals. It feels good to do something productive.

I hope you/we all start to feel better. Pink eye, prolonged colds, pneumonia, arthritis - JEEPERS - time for Spring and better health.

Kisses

Hello Annette...thanks honey but I am the one in charge of my sister. That is why I am here. However, she keeps adding things she should be doing to the list. She makes too much money to get free help. She will not pay for it.

I can get help with laundry, cooking, and cleaning but not while I am here. I always had help. My doctors don't want me doing all this work. My sister knows that and just doesn't care.

I will be leaving soon...at least I pray I will!!

You didn't say what kind of sauce you were making...bet it was wonderful!!

I hope you are feeling better and not over doing either. I think they need to tie us down!! Still praying for you!

Much love and many hugs.....connie d
